Its unique composition makes this dish indispensable for diseases of the stomach, heart and blood vessels. Properly prepared jelly helps get rid of toxins and harmful substances. Oatmeal jelly saturates the body with vitamins and minerals, which give vital energy. Many nutritionists recommend including this drink in your diet for preventive purposes. Numerous studies have shown that oatmeal is an excellent remedy in the fight against malignant tumors. To prepare healthy jelly, you need to make a starter, the detailed recipe for which is described above. The human body in conditions of poor ecology and the influence of negative factors requires additional help. Regular consumption of oatmeal jelly will help the body resist daily negative influences.

Unfortunately, jelly is not very popular in modern cooking. They are rarely prepared at home, but rather consumed in children's, preventive or medical institutions. At the same time, many perceive jelly as a thick berry or fruit drink. In fact, in Rus' this was the name given to a rather dense substance. It was prepared from milk and cereals, fruits and even vegetables, after which it was consumed as a main Lenten dish or dessert. True, more liquid jelly was also cooked in Russian houses, including using either flour. It turned out incredibly tasty and incredibly healthy. Nowadays, few housewives know how to prepare the Recipe with photos (even in several versions), presented below, will help correct this shortcoming. A little imagination and additional ingredients will add variety.

About the benefits of oats

It is rightfully considered one of the main cereals. The ability of oatmeal to remove toxins and waste from the body and normalize digestion has long been known. Its regular use leads to normalization of body weight, good health and excellent appearance. In addition, oats are rich in beneficial amino acids, vitamins and have a beneficial effect on almost all systems of the human body. It improves complexion and eliminates some cosmetic defects. And if you approach the process of preparing oatmeal creatively, the result is not only healthy, but also varied and very tasty. At the same time, drinks, pastries, main courses, and desserts come out.

What can you cook from it?

Most people associate oatmeal with breakfast. These are instant cereals, filled with water or milk, with a variety of additives. If you think a little, a few more side dishes, a casserole and some kind of diet pie will come to mind. But in fact, this is not all that can be prepared using oatmeal or flour. Our ancestors used this cereal to prepare a miraculous drink. Homemade jelly was very common in Rus' (this is reflected even in folk tales). Moreover, they prepared it both quite liquid so that it could be drunk, and thicker (this version was eaten with spoons). Kissel can be cooked in milk or water (during fasting, for example). It is made sweet or salty, with or without fruits and berries. And it can also be fermented milk. In this case, it has additional healing properties.

Oatmeal on water

This is the simplest and most affordable cooking option. The resulting drink will be tasty and healthy. It can be consumed by both those who do not like milk and those who are on a diet or fasting.

For half a glass of oatmeal, take 200 ml of water, salt and honey to taste, as well as a little cinnamon for flavor (you don’t have to add it). Instead of honey, regular sugar is sometimes used. Before preparing oatmeal jelly, the flakes are poured onto a baking sheet and lightly browned in the oven. Then they are poured with cold water, and after 10-15 minutes they are put on fire. Bring to a boil, add salt and cook over low heat for about 20 minutes. Then the resulting mass is filtered, honey or sugar is added to taste, and decorated with cinnamon. Delicious and aromatic homemade jelly can be served for breakfast or as a light dinner.

Recipe with milk

Unlike the previous version, this one has a rather pronounced creamy taste and a thicker consistency. This dish can no longer be called a drink, since it has to be eaten with a spoon. But all these differences do not make the recipe for making oatmeal jelly too complicated. True, there are slightly more calories per serving. For a liter of milk you will need 100 grams. cereal, 1.5 cups sugar, 30 gr. butter, some raisins and any nuts. To make the dessert a nice chocolate color, you can add 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder.

As in the previous recipe, before preparing oatmeal jelly, you need to fry the flakes a little. But in this case, butter cut into small cubes should be placed on top of them. This will give them additional flavor and improve the appearance of the dish.

Then the milk is brought to a boil, raisins, flakes and sugar are added (you can mix it with cocoa). Cook the mixture, stirring, for about 5 minutes. Then they are placed in glasses and sprinkled with chopped nuts. Serve warm, washed down with milk.

With beets

Oatmeal jelly can also be used as a main dietary dish. Cooking with beets makes the delicacy more vibrant. And the additional substances contained in the vegetable enhance the cleansing properties of oatmeal.

For 100 grams of flakes, take medium-sized beets. You will also need a glass of water, a little salt and literally a spoonful of sugar. The beets are peeled and grated on a fine grater, combined with oatmeal and filled with water. Bringing to a boil, salt the mass, add sugar and, stirring, cook for about 20 minutes. You can eat jelly for breakfast or throughout the day. It is stored in the refrigerator for 48 hours.

With prunes

For those who have digestive problems, a cleansing jelly made from oatmeal is recommended. For maximum effect, it is prepared with prunes and beets. A glass of oatmeal or oatmeal is poured with 2 liters of cold water. Then add a handful of prunes and randomly chopped medium-sized beets.

Bring the mixture to a boil and cook for about 15 minutes. The fire should be small. The finished broth is cooled and filtered. Taken as a remedy before meals. You can arrange a fasting day for yourself by drinking only this drink.

Oatmeal dessert

So, jelly is not only a drink. It can be prepared in the form of a fairly dense substance and can completely replace panna cotta, pudding or blamange. Before you prepare oatmeal jelly for dessert, you need to stock up on only two products. You will need a liter of fermented whey and a glass of cereal. You also need salt and sugar to taste. The ingredients are very simple, it’s hard to believe that they make such a delicious dessert.

Oatmeal is poured with whey and left overnight at room temperature. By morning, the mixture should ferment and resemble a dough for yeast dough. It needs to be strained through cheesecloth and squeezed out. The resulting liquid is put on fire, salted a little and sugar is added to taste. After it boils, reduce the flame and cook, stirring constantly, until it reaches the consistency of liquid vegetable puree. Then the jelly is removed from the heat and poured into oiled silicone molds.

They are put in the refrigerator to harden, and after a few hours, turned over, placed on a dish and decorated with chocolate, condensed milk or whipped cream. It turns out very tasty and much healthier than other desserts.

Energy and nutritional value

Oatmeal jelly is often used as a basis in various diets related to cleansing the body of toxins and losing weight. The calorie content of this dish largely depends on the method of its preparation. The least nutritious drink is an unsweetened water drink. And the most high-calorie one will be with the addition of butter. But even its 100-150 kcal per 100 grams is nothing compared to other desserts.

Moreover, its nutritional value is much higher than that of a regular soufflé. Oatmeal jelly is rich in carbohydrates and B vitamins. Contains proteins, calcium, magnesium, sodium and other macroelements. The dish is also rich in iron, zinc, iodine, copper, and fluorine. One serving of drink or dessert will satisfy your hunger, give you strength, and invigorate you.

Kissel for weight loss

In principle, any of the recipes proposed above, to one degree or another, helps to reduce body weight and eliminate toxins. But there is also a separate version designed specifically for those on a diet.

For 100 grams of rolled oats, take 200 grams of unhulled oats and the same amount of kefir. You will also need 50 ml of water and a little salt. Oats and flakes are poured with kefir overnight, in the morning the mass is filtered through cheesecloth, the solid part is thrown away, and the liquid part is diluted with water and boiled for about 5 minutes, adding salt. This drink is used to satisfy hunger during a diet.

Medicinal jelly

If we consider all the existing recipes for this dish, this one will probably be the most popular. Its author is virologist Izotov. Studying ancient recipes for healing dishes, combining them with his own experience and knowledge, he created a universal remedy that can not only cleanse the body of toxins and improve digestion, but also normalize the functions of almost all systems.

This jelly is prepared using oat concentrate, which can be purchased at a pharmacy or made independently at home. First you need to mix 3 liters of water at room temperature with 500 grams of rolled oats and 100 ml of kefir in a large glass jar. Then it is tightly closed with a lid and left in a warm place for a day to ferment.

The resulting mass is filtered using a regular colander and left for another 6-8 hours. During this time, a precipitate should form - this is the oat concentrate. The liquid above it is drained, and the loose mass is stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks. Medicinal oatmeal jelly is prepared from the concentrate, for which 5 tablespoons of the mixture are diluted with 500 ml of water, brought to a boil and boiled over low heat until the consistency of sour cream, stirring constantly. Add a little oil (any kind) and salt. It is recommended to eat it with rye bread for breakfast. The taste is quite specific, but pleasant.

Knowing the benefits of oatmeal jelly prepared according to this recipe from concentrate, it can be safely recommended to people with diseases of the digestive system, cardiovascular and nervous systems. It should be noted that its regular use improves overall well-being and mood, and increases performance. Kissel has a beneficial effect on humans and perfectly cleanses the body. In general, it can be safely recommended to residents of large polluted cities and people suffering from chronic fatigue.

According to reviews from patients who regularly use this product, their memory improves, a feeling of lightness and a surge of vitality appear. And all illnesses disappear on their own.

Are there any contraindications

Knowing how oatmeal jelly is useful, it is necessary to clarify whether it will cause harm to the body. In principle, there are very few contraindications for using the product, but they still exist, although with moderate consumption of jelly they do not manifest themselves in any way. First of all, this concerns the high mucus content in the product. In large quantities, it can lead to the opposite effect, and the body will store it as fat. When purchasing a ready-made concentrate in a store or pharmacy, there is a possibility that it will be of low quality. Such a substance may contain additional preservatives and dyes, which are also of little benefit to the body. People suffering from severe forms of any disease should consult a specialist before consuming jelly. Otherwise, the product only brings benefits.

Oatmeal jelly is not only a traditional Russian drink. If you follow certain technologies, you can get a dessert, a weight loss product, and even a real medicine. Its use will certainly be beneficial and will lead to excellent health. And the vitamins, minerals and other beneficial elements contained in the ingredients will support the body during the diet. But even in this good undertaking, you need to know when to stop in order to prevent the opposite effect.

Baby food

For a baby, such a treat is incredibly useful, but I’ll immediately make a reservation that any complementary feeding, even the best one, should be started only after consultation with a pediatrician.

  1. I don’t recommend adding a new product to your baby’s food before 6 months.
  2. Your child should begin adding oatmeal jelly gradually, like any new dish.
  3. It is imperative to observe the reaction of a small organism to a grain drink, so as not to miss a possible allergic reaction. The oatmeal infusion contains much less gluten than whole oats or Hercules, but it is still present. This protein is often the main allergen in cases of childhood idiosyncrasy.

At first, prepare the dish very liquid, so that it is easier for your baby to give it from a bottle or with a teaspoon. Gradually, as you get used to the new product, you can make the jelly thick and replace it with 1 meal a day completely. It is not advisable to give oatmeal jelly more often, because it has a strong laxative property.

  4. Mix the resulting liquid with sugar and salt and put on fire.
  5. Cook until thickened, stirring all the time.

I call this delicacy:

I serve a healthy dessert in cream bowls, sprinkling the treat with grated chocolate. For the kids I choose a sweet type of decor, for me and my husband - bitter, black. You can eat jelly both hot and cold.

And here is the recipe for a dish that helped me restore my health after surgery and replaced a lot of medications:

  7. Take 2 tbsp. l of the semi-finished product, pour a glass of water and cook over low heat until thickened.
  8. Keep the rest of the starter in the refrigerator and use it as needed.

You need to drink or eat this healthy bloat warm. You can add a few spoons of honey for added flavor.

An interesting fact: in Rus', jelly was always prepared on the basis of oatmeal, since we learned to obtain the potato starch we are used to a little later. And the plant itself came into the life of the Slavs several centuries after the grain crops.

According to tradition, oatmeal jelly with various additives was prepared for a dinner in honor of a deceased person. It’s not difficult to cook jelly, just like at a funeral. You just need to boil it until it becomes a thick jelly. A proper funeral dish must be thick so that it can be eaten with spoons.

Thanks to the large amount of minerals and vitamins contained in the drink, it is an excellent remedy for the prevention of many diseases, removes harmful toxins and waste from the body and strengthens it. The benefits of oatmeal jelly are related to its composition.

Useful properties include:

  • Complex cleansing of the body;
  • Improving bowel function;
  • Reducing cholesterol levels;
  • Increasing the speed of metabolic processes in the body;
  • Strengthening the immune system.

Also, regular consumption of oat healing drink has the following qualities:

  • Significantly reduces the risk of inflammatory processes;
  • Helps normalize the flow of bile.

People who consumed this drink noted a surge of strength and increased vitality.

No harm has been recorded from consuming a product such as oatmeal jelly. In medical practice there is no data on any contraindications. It has only one benefit, so it is allowed for everyone, including children and pregnant women. Some people experience heartburn as a side effect. The reason is that the product is a peroxide. With high acidity, there is no need for excess acid.

How to cook oatmeal jelly from Hercules and Bifidok

In order for oat jelly to have all the beneficial properties and not cause harm to the body, it is important to prepare it correctly. The process takes place in several stages:

  • Selection of dishes where the concentrate will be prepared.
  • Preparation of oat concentrate.
  • Filtration of the concentrate.
  • Separation of the prepared filtrate.
  • Preparation.

Ingredients:

  • “Hercules” flakes – 500 g;
  • Bifidok (kefir with bifidobacteria) – half a glass;
  • Boiled water – 3 l.

The main thing in the process of preparing oatmeal jelly is the preparation of the concentrate:

  1. To do this, take a clean container, for example, a 5-liter bottle.
  2. 3 - 3.5 liters of boiled and cooled water to 40 degrees is poured into the bottle.
  3. Add 0.5 kg of Hercules oatmeal and 0.5 cups of Bifidok.
  4. Put a rubber glove on the jar with the resulting mixture. To prevent the glove from bursting during fermentation, it is pierced with a needle. Place in a warm place to allow the fermentation process to begin.
  5. After a day or two, the mixture is filtered. It is not recommended that the mixture ferment for more than two days. This will lead to poor taste.
  6. The fermented mixture is filtered. It is simply passed through a colander or fine mesh sieve. As a result of filtration, a certain amount of liquid is obtained, which must be left for about another day.
  7. After a day of settling, the liquid is divided into two fractions. The top level is a cloudy liquid and the bottom level is a white, loose sediment. This is exactly what you need to make jelly. The sediment is stored in the refrigerator in small containers, but no more than three weeks.

Now that the concentrate is ready, there is nothing left to do but take and cook oatmeal jelly made from Hercules.

Preparing jelly:

  1. To prepare oatmeal jelly, you will need 5 to 10 tablespoons of oat concentrate. Its quantity depends on individual taste.
  2. The concentrate is diluted in 0.5 liters of water, after which, stirring constantly, bring to a boil.
  3. Next, without stopping stirring, evaporate excess water and bring to the desired thickness.

It will be easier to prepare grandma's old dish if you watch the video.

Made from whole oats

All the benefits of the cereal will be delivered to its intended purpose if whole grains are used to prepare the jelly (it is sold as animal feed).

Products you will need:

  • Whole oats (in husks) – 250 g;
  • Rye bread (black) – 1 slice;
  • Water – 2 l.

Step-by-step preparation:

  1. Clean the oats from foreign impurities - stones and lumps of earth. Rinse in a colander and dry well near a radiator or in the sun.
  2. Grind the beans using a coffee grinder, food processor or mortar.
  3. Pour in warm water and stir.
  4. Place a slice of rye bread.
  5. Cover the jar with a lid and place it near the radiator or on the windowsill for 24 hours. Don't forget to cover it with something to block out the light.
  6. There will be a relatively clear liquid on top and sediment on the bottom. Strain some of the clear liquid through a straw into a separate bowl. Mix the rest and strain through a fine sieve.
  7. Transfer the resulting thick sediment into a jar and put it in the refrigerator. This will be a concentrate starter for subsequent preparations of jelly.
  8. To prepare one serving, take an incomplete glass of water, dissolve 2-3 tablespoons of filtered concentrate in it, place on low heat and cook, stirring constantly.

The degree of thickness depends on the cooking time - the longer you cook, the more water will boil away and the thicker the jelly will turn out.

From oatmeal or oatmeal

To make jelly from oatmeal, you will need a concentrate starter made according to the previous recipe. Prepare the following ingredients:

  • Oatmeal or oatmeal flour – 1 cup;
  • Sourdough – 0.5 cups;
  • Water – 750 ml.
  1. Pour a glass of flour or oatmeal into a liter jar.
  2. Lay out the starter.
  3. Add warm boiled water to the volume of ¾ of the jar. Stir.
  4. Cover the jar with gauze and leave to ferment for a couple of days.
  5. When fermentation stops (usually it takes 1-2 days), strain the mixture through two layers of gauze.
  6. Transfer the grounds into a jar and place in the refrigerator.
  7. Place the strained liquid with 2-3 tablespoons of concentrate added to it on the fire and bring to the desired consistency with constant stirring.

Izotov’s oatmeal jelly: a recipe for treating the stomach

For preventive and therapeutic purposes, Izotov’s oatmeal jelly is used to normalize the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract. This remedy is easy to prepare at home. The process consists of four main stages:

  • Fermentation;
  • Filtration;
  • Filtrate treatment;
  • Cooking jelly.

Ingredients:

  • Oat flakes “Hercules” - 0.5 kg;
  • Kefir – 3 tbsp. spoons;
  • Water – 3 l.

How to cook:

  1. Boil water and cool until lukewarm.
  2. Pour in half a kilogram of Hercules and pour in half a glass of kefir. Stir, cover with a plastic lid, wrap in a towel, and place in a warm place.
  3. The next day, see if there is separation and if bubbles characteristic of the fermentation process are released.
  4. After 2 days, the mixture must be filtered: take a colander and drain the resulting product through it. Thick suspension will settle on the grate, so you will need cooled boiled water for rinsing. It takes about 2 liters.
  5. The strained substance is left in the jar for 16 hours. It must settle, eventually the grounds will precipitate, and an almost transparent liquid will form on top, which must be drained through a tube or hose.
  6. To prepare oatmeal jelly, use the grounds remaining in the jar. Some will go straight into use, the rest can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
  7. To cook jelly, take up to 10 tablespoons of grounds (concentrate), add 2 cups of cold water to it. Stir and place on low heat. The boiling time depends on the desired thickness. Usually cooking lasts up to 5 minutes.

If you are using oatmeal jelly to treat a stomach with low acidity, you can include the strained liquid in the cooking recipe (essentially it is oat kvass), and cook it not in water, but in it. If you have high acidity, this is not recommended.

How to use

According to Vladimir Izotov himself, he has been drinking this drink every day for more than 10 years and has no plans to stop yet, its benefits are so noticeable.

It is advisable to take jelly for breakfast warm with rye bread.

Depending on personal preferences, you can add to the jelly:

  • Butter and a small amount of salt;
  • A spoon of natural honey.

After just 10-12 days of taking it, your health improves significantly. Oatmeal jelly made from Hercules, flour and grains, the recipes for which you just read, require a time investment. But as practice shows, the efforts will not be spent in vain. This inexpensive and simple remedy can relieve a person from many ailments and increase his vitality.
