Prediction of the Arab scientist Musta-Eddin Sultan Amurat. The grandson of Sultan Soliman was a passionate lover of science and was mainly engaged in astronomy. He invited the famous Arab scientist Musta Eddin to his court and, at his request, built an observatory for him in Constantinople. Amurat often visited Eddin at the observatory and asked about what he had noticed. One day the Sultan asked him if he had seen any sign in the sky.

“I saw a sign,” answered Eddin, “which foretells that your great vizier will now die a cruel death at the hand of his slave.”.

Indeed, not even a few hours had passed before Amurat was informed that his high vizier had been killed. Another time the astronomer said to the Sultan:

“Soon the Persians will win a brilliant victory over your countless troops.”.

And for the second time, what Eddin predicted came true: soon the Sultan learned that the pasha, sent against Persia with 80,000 soldiers, was completely defeated, lost many thousands of killed and himself died of grief. These correct predictions inspired Amurat with unconditional trust in the words of the wise Eddin, so he decided one day to ask him a question:

“Will my reign be successful, and how long will the Ottoman Empire last, and by whom will it be destroyed?”

Musta-Eddin answered this question:

“Sovereign! You will live in peace as long as you wish. You will defeat all your enemies; no people will be afraid of you and your kingdom, and no one will gain victory over you; but only as long as you maintain peaceful relations with the people living from midnight to the east. This people is strong and glorious, and its name will thunder throughout the world, and everyone will obey it. From this great people the power of your inheritance will fall - such is the will of the Most High!”

Amurat, having heard this prediction, proposed his opinions to the council, which found, in comparison with verbal traditions and some manuscripts, that it agreed with them, and therefore considered it true; but at the same time, the council told Amurat that Musta-Eddin must be killed so that he would not divulge his predictions to the people. The Sultan sent Kapiji Pasha with a detachment of slaves to take the astronomer and throw him into the sea. Musta-Eddin, meeting the killers at the entrance of his house, said to them:

"Peace to you! God's judgment will never pass. I know that today I will be prey for the fish of the sea; and the people of the North will take possession of you and the whole kingdom.”

After these words, the scientist was seized, tied up and thrown into the sea between Galata and Constantinople. There are a lot of similar predictions and legends in Constantinople, among the Mohammedans. We mention some of them:

• The time appointed by Allah will come when Mecca and Medina and other Arabian cities will be destroyed, and all this will be done by a certain Christian King who will come from the countries of the North. He will occupy Egypt and Palestine.
• The kingdom of Mohammed will last only until the coming of the Belarusian youths, the white sons of the North, according to the prophecy, which reads like this:

“On the tenth indictment the King will come from the northern countries, take Epthalophon, and reign in it, and there will be the greatest war.”.

• The Turks themselves confess and say that their Koran contains confirmation that Constantinople will be taken by Christians. These confirmations are:

a) The first caliph was Abbass, then the name of the last caliph will begin with the same letters,

b) Mohammedans should be wary of that Christian people whose name has the initial letter P,

c) Before the fall of Istanbul, three bloody battles will take place; Christians will defeat the Mohammedans and take the city, and its inhabitants will die from famine and sword. The Mohammedans will be driven first to Aleppo, then to Damascus. Jerusalem and all the countries belonging to it will be conquered by Christians.

These beliefs spread throughout Turkey. They are often found not only among common people, but also penetrate into the upper strata of the Turkish people. The capital's Turks, out of a predominant love for Asia, the cradle of their religion and nation, prefer to be buried on the Asian coast.

But a more motivating reason for the Turks’ love to bury themselves in Asia is the following: the Turks have many predictions about the impending fall of the Ottoman Empire, and the predictions of Sultan Soliman and the Arab astronomer Musta Eddin that the entire kingdom will be taken over by the Northern people are especially widespread among them. They believe these predictions and consider their stay in Europe temporary; for the time must inevitably come when the Christians, the fair-haired victors, will take Istanbul into their power and expel them to Asia.

For this reason, all Mohammedans who are somewhat wealthy try to bury their relatives on the Asian coast, so that the graves of the “true believers” will not be trampled under the feet of the “infidels” when, by the will of Allah, they take Constantinople again. It was probably on this basis that Sultan Abdul-Mecid said about the Golden Gate to the architect who was renovating the Sofia Mosque in 1849:

The holy prophet Daniel says the same thing:

“Then the judges will sit and take away from him [the Antichrist] the power to destroy and destroy to the end. The kingdom and power and royal greatness in all the heavenly places will be given to the people of the saints of the Most High [Christians].”(Dan. 7; 26-27).

Prophetic vision of the monk Daniel The vision of the monk Daniel, published in the Tale of Tsar-grad, speaks of the fall of the Seventh Hill:

In the same story about Constantinople, the following words are added as a threat to the Mohammedans:

“But you understand, wretched one, if all the signs that were spoken before about this city (about Constantinople) have been accomplished, then the last one will not pass away, but will also be accomplished; writes bo (Emperor Leo the Wise); The Russian clan with the pre-creators of all Ishmaelite will defeat, and will accept the Seventh Hill, and reign in it.”.

Indeed, Emperor Leo in one of his books writes something similar to the above, namely:

“The Belarusian family, with its partners, will put to flight the entire family of Ishmaelites and will take possession of the seven hills and become their owner.”.

The same Emperor, speaking about the column erected in Constantinople, writes that the patriarch interpreted the inscription on the column:

“The meaning of this inscription is that after the Mohammedans, Christians will take Constantinople, and then the Christian Emperor will ascend to the kingdom.”.

The holy prophet Jeremiah predicted this:

“And the Lord said to me: From the north will disaster come upon all the inhabitants of the land. For behold, I will call all the tribes of the kingdoms of the north, says the Lord, and they will come and set up every man his throne (...) in all the cities of Judah. And I will pronounce My judgments upon them [the cities] for all their iniquities, because they have forsaken Me.”(Jer. 1; 14-16).

Bishop Theophan (Bystrov) reported on the prophecies of his spiritual father, Elder Alexy of Valaam:

“In Russia, the elders said, by the will of the people, the Monarchy and Autocratic power will be restored. The Lord has chosen the future King. This will be a man of fiery faith, a brilliant mind and an iron will. First of all, he will restore order in the Orthodox Church, removing all untrue, heretical and lukewarm bishops. “1532 was the last year of the life of St. Cyril. (...) When he died, the brothers (...) looked at their fading mentor with great sorrow. (...) Prophecy on the tombstone of the holy king Constantine the Great After the death of the holy Greek Emperor Constantine I the Great, in 337, his son, also named Constantine, reigned. He transferred the body of his parent from Nicodemus to Constantinople and buried it with the honor befitting a Royal person in the Church of the Holy Apostles. And to this day in Constantinople, near the Osmaniye Mosque, they show a sarcophagus made of solid porphyry, about one and a half fathoms in length; there is no inscription on it; but the upper porphyry slab, on which there was undoubtedly an inscription, is lost. The general belief attributes it to Constantine the Great, and the Turks display the Emperor's coffin as a trophy with the pride of conquerors and willingly believe the Greek legend.

At the time when Constantine’s body was brought to Constantinople, there were some pious and perspicacious men who inscribed letters in Greek on the roof of his coffin, prophesying the future fate and destruction of the Turkish kingdom. But in order to hide the meaning of this scripture for the time being, they omitted the vowels in the words and inserted only consonants. This inscription seemed incomprehensible for a long time, but later, during the reign of John Palaeologus, the wise elder Gennady, Patriarch of Constantinople, interpreted the meaning of this prophecy by adding missing vowels to the consonant letters. Patriarch Gennady, adding letters, explained this inscription, which, when translated into Russian, means the following saying:

“In the first indictment, the kingdom of Ishmael, conquered by Mohammed, must defeat the family of Palaiologos. He will destroy Sedmikholmie, reign in Constantinople, rule over many peoples, and devastate all the islands, even as far as the Euxine Pontus, ruining even his closest neighbors. In the eighth order, the northern countries must fight. In the tenth indictment Dalmatov (Serbov) will win and will remain without battle for a short time; Therefore, the Dalmatians will again initiate a great war, and a certain part (the Dalmatians) will be crushed1. Many nations, uniting with the West, will gather militia on sea and land and defeat Ishmael. His legacy will last very little. Here, indicts and hours should not be counted as usual; for this is a prophecy, but must be taken allegorically, like the weeks of Daniel. The name Palaiologos refers to the Greek Emperors, and the name Ishmael refers to the Turkish people.

The prophecies of the Hieromartyr Cosmas Equal to the Apostles (18th century) say the following about this:

“The time will come when our enemies will take everything from us, even the ashes from your hearth. But don't lose faith like others. (...) Internal rebellions, civil strife and incessant unrest will completely ruin the Turkish state; famine and pestilence will be the end of these disasters; they will die of their own accord in the most pitiful manner. The Turks will lose all their lands in Europe and will be forced to retire to Asia, Tunisia, Fesan and Morocco. The restless Poles will be completely pacified. A storm will rise upon them such as they never expected. The Kingdom of Poland will get a new look because many Germans [Bavarians] will move to it. The unfortunate Turks will leave Greece and all of Hungary; their mosques will be ruined, the Alkoran will be destroyed and the tomb of Mohammed will be burned. The Revelation of John the Theologian says that “a woman clothed with the sun [the Church of Christ] gave birth to (...) a male child [the last Russian Tsar], who is to rule all nations with a rod of iron"(Apoc. 12:1,5).

Vladyka Michael, Bishop of Tauride (1856-1898) predicted: “Russia will have to take advantage of its position, prepared by God Himself, in the history of the militant Church on earth”("Tsar Bell". No. 8. M. 1990, p. 23).

Of course, the issue of repentance and personal piety is a key issue for the future of Russia, as Metropolitan John (Snychev) of St. Petersburg wrote. But that's the point, it's personal. Let everyone personally ask themselves: “Am I not the reason for the current shame? Is it not my sin that keeps the Fatherland in the abyss of its fall? Is it not my negligence that is delaying the bright moment of resurrection? - and does not undertake to evaluate the repentance of others. This is what Bishop John teaches us.
It is not our business to judge whether the people have repented enough. We must work hard on ourselves, on our soul, leaving God to evaluate the result. He, and not the newly-minted “prophets,” will determine the depth of people’s repentance.

Let us listen to what this wise archpastor calls us to: “The great destiny of Russia now depends on our will. We - and no one else - can and must recreate the Holy Russian Empire,” that is, the Orthodox kingdom led by the Orthodox Tsar. This is the personal religious duty of everyone, “personal religious duty as a part of national service,” writes Metropolitan John in the article “The Mystery of Lawlessness.” And he continues: whoever, “fearing hardships and hardships, renounces,” will “inevitably be separated from grace... deprived of all hope for God’s mercy and personal salvation.”
It turns out that each of us personally will not save his soul if he deals only with his own sins, only with personal repentance and does not participate in the nationwide service to recreate the Holy Russian state - the Orthodox monarchy.
Such people will have to “severely answer before the impartial court of God for despising their service as a God-bearing people” - this is how Metropolitan John concludes his article “The Path to Salvation” with this stern warning to all of us, Orthodox Christians of the triune Rus' - Great, Little and White. .
It turns out that those who advise us to abandon all hope for the revival of the Orthodox Russian kingdom are doing us a disservice. They want us not to work for the salvation of triune Russia - God’s chosen one, according to the expression of the Holy Fathers, repeated by Bishop John - and for this we would be strictly responsible before the judgment of God, “having lost all hope of personal salvation.”

These false shepherds teach: it is not your business to think about Russia, about the people; it distracts you from crying about your sins; you should not know anyone or anything in the world, except for one thing - your sins.
But all the saints at all times taught completely differently, namely: “Remember that the earthly Fatherland with its Church is the threshold of the Heavenly Fatherland, therefore love it fervently and be ready to lay down your soul for it” (Righteous Saint John of Kronstadt).
Metropolitan John writes the same thing: “It is unacceptable and immoral to stand aloof from life, hiding behind an imaginary “otherworldliness” when your Motherland and your people are on the brink of destruction” (“Overcoming Troubles”).
And the false shepherds who advise to forget the prophecies of the Russian saints about the resurrection of Rus' can be answered with the words of the same Bishop John:
“Today, when the main question of our life, our destiny, our eternal salvation is the question: “Will our Russia be resurrected?” - indifference and delay are unacceptable” (“Voice of Eternity”). To this we can also add that this question is the main one for all of us in the entire triune Rus', since, according to St. Lavrenty of Chernigov: “Just as it is impossible to divide the Holy Trinity, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, this is one God, so it is impossible to divide Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. This is together Holy Rus'. Know, remember and don’t forget.”
Now there are many teachers who, wanting to plunge us into despondency and panic, authoritatively declare that there is no point in trying to change the situation for the better, that all the best remains in the distant past, and only the worst lies ahead. Of course, an Orthodox Christian must always be prepared for the worst, but it is also his duty to strive for the best.
Metropolitan John answered well to such people: “The loud groans of “Russia is perishing!”, “Holy Rus' is lost” and the like are evidence ... of a malicious desire to sow panic among the Russian people,” he writes at the conclusion of his article “Sovereign Construction” , dedicated, as the title suggests, to the restoration of the Orthodox Russian state.
As you can see, Metropolitan John of St. Petersburg called for the revival of the Holy Russian Empire, despite the lack of deep repentance among the people.

Vladyka John wrote: “We have no reason for despondency and despair. “Our people,” continues Metropolitan John, “have everything to make this resurrection take place. There is a habit of intense, internal work, a readiness for self-sacrifice and patience, an unspent reserve of sovereign power and conciliar love.

Think about it - the guardian of piety in the Orthodox Church is the entire church people, and no one can escape their share of responsibility at the Last Judgment of Christ. You cannot resurrect Holy Rus' by running from “jurisdiction” to “jurisdiction.” It must be earned by faith and fidelity, begged for, cried out. Cossacks, you are warriors. So tell me, is that soldier good who, during a battle, chooses a trench on the principle of “where is drier”? Elder Nikolai (Guryanov) also asked his spiritual children not to leave the Church. And this despite the fact that these All-Russian elders knew better than ours all the current deviations of our Hierarchy from the purity of Orthodoxy. It is no coincidence that Metropolitan John reminds us that the custodian of the faith is the entire Orthodox people. Therefore, it is very important that we - the ordinary priesthood and the laity - do not deviate from the purity of Orthodoxy following the hierarchs.
Let us remember the prophecy of St. Theophan of Poltava, conveyed to him by the elders, that the Russian Tsar, chosen by the Lord Himself, “first of all, will restore order in the Orthodox Church, removing all untrue, heretical and lukewarm bishops. And many, very many, with few exceptions, almost all will be eliminated, and new, true, unshakable bishops will take their place.” Having listened to this prophecy and remembering what Metropolitan John and Archpriest Nikolai Guryanov asked us to do - and they asked us not to leave the Church! - it is better for us to refrain from applying the 15th rule of the Double Council, which allows us to set aside archpastors who have betrayed the Truth, leaving it to the future Russian Orthodox Tsar to set them aside from the Church.
For now, let us be content with the fact that the Lord Himself removes from the church environment some obviously Judaizing bishops and priests; sending sudden death to some, debilitating illnesses to others.

If nothing like this happens to such bishops and priests, then this is also by the will of God, so that we stay awake, do not relax and gain spiritual experience in the struggle for the Orthodox Church and Holy Rus'.
When there is a tsar in Rus', then the issue of the seal of the Antichrist will be insignificant for us, since we will be inaccessible to him. According to the prophecy of St. Lawrence of Chernigov: “Even the Antichrist himself will be afraid of the Russian Orthodox Tsar.”

And for this we need to wish day and night that the Lord would give us His Anointed One.
Metropolitan John (Snychev) of St. Petersburg argued that “the restoration of the Russian State is a matter of life or death for Russia” (“Overcoming the Time of Troubles”).

Thus, the most important question today is the question of the future Russian Tsar. This is evident even from the fact that the enemies of the Church focused their main attention on him. They are trying to remove the word “king” from use so that the very concept of “king” is completely erased from our consciousness.
Renovationist bishops forbid remembering Saint Tsar Nicholas II during services; the authors of pseudo-Orthodox leaflets, articles and books consistently impose the idea that there will be no more Tsar, and in general, that this is not relevant today, that it was relevant in the past and that what difference does it make to us? - whether there will be a monarchy or not - they say, will the people become more pious from this?

That is, there is a targeted attack by the enemies of Orthodoxy on our consciousness.
So, we need to understand that this issue is paramount, despite all their claims about its irrelevance.

Quite the contrary, the restoration of the Orthodox Russian monarchy is the most pressing issue in the current pre-Antichrist time, since what awaits us ahead is either the power of the Russian Orthodox Tsar or the power of the Antichrist, there is no third option.
And if we do not want to experience all the horrors and torments of the Antichrist’s reign, then we must pray to God day and night to give us a king, before whom, according to the prediction of St. Lawrence of Chernigov, the Antichrist himself will tremble.

“Under the Antichrist,” the saint writes, “Russia will be the most powerful kingdom in the world. And all other countries, except Russia and the Slavic lands, will be under the rule of the Antichrist and will experience all the horrors and torments written in the Holy Scriptures.”
What could be more important for the salvation of our souls than protection from the coming Antichrist, about whom even the saints could not write without tears and trembling?

This means that the issue of restoring the Orthodox monarchy - autocracy - is especially important these days, more important than ever before.
But even earlier, over the centuries, it was easiest for Orthodox Christians to save their souls precisely in the autocratic kingdom.

All the saints write about this, and Metropolitan John (Snychev) summarizes their thoughts as follows: “There is no doubt that autocracy is the best state system of all known to mankind, a system in which the Church is under the direct protection of the state” (“Standing in Faith” ). “Autocracy does not have its own “independent” non-church ideals and goals,” writes His Eminence John in the book “Russian Symphony.” And he concludes that the goal of autocracy is purely ecclesiastical - “to promote the salvation of the souls of its subjects.”
This is the country in which our ancestors had the good fortune to live, where at the state level the government cared about the salvation of every Christian soul. How can one then indulge in arguments that the Orthodox monarchy means nothing for the salvation of the soul?

“Well, whether there is a monarchy or not, how will this affect the spiritual health of society, will it really become better from this?” - anonymous authors hypocritically ask in their writings, calling themselves abbots or speaking on behalf of unknown elders.
Those elders who are known throughout Russia say the exact opposite. Among them is the God-wise St. Petersburg Bishop John, who I often mention, who wrote: “It was the crowned leaders of the nation - the Anointed of God, the Russian Orthodox Tsars - who, like no one else, cared about the spiritual health of society, invariably protecting the Orthodox Church with all the might of state power so that it would have the opportunity to carry out their holy work of saving human souls quietly and peacefully, in all piety and purity" (“Overcoming Troubles”).

This was the role of the Orthodox monarch.
Over the centuries-old history of Russia, many kings have changed, the periods of their reign were more favorable for the spiritual life of society and less favorable, but with all this it is in no way possible to compare the high level of spirituality of the people of autocratic tsarist Rus' with the spiritual misery that came when the people were orphaned without a king. priests.

The Optina elder Anatoly (Potapov) aptly spoke about this: “Just as a man with a cut off head is no longer a man, but a stinking corpse, so Russia without a tsar is a stinking corpse.”

With the fall of autocracy, a spiritual catastrophe and degradation occurred among the people. There was no longer, as Metropolitan John wrote, the “church fence” - the royal power, and numerous predators had the full opportunity to plunder the flock of Christ. So our people became convinced from their bitter experience that without a tsar there is no one to preserve the Church, no one to guard our souls.
The spiritual and physical genocide to which the people have been subjected from 1917 to this day is the Lord’s punishment for abandoning the Tsar, who is God’s Anointed One.

And in order for this punishment to stop, it is necessary to return to what was abandoned - to the divinely established royal power. In other words, you need to repent of the crime you committed and want to restore what has been violated. Our desire for royal power, our desire for it, is a living expression of repentance that our ancestors once abandoned it, and we, their descendants, forgot to think about it.
Repentance always attracts grace, and the merciful Lord will give us His Anointed One, about whom the Russian saints prophesied, and only then will the collapse and depravity that now reign in our Fatherland cease.
Satanic sects, officially registered by the state authorities and legally existing in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, hundreds of people who go missing every year: to be sacrificed to Satanists, to be sold into slavery or for organs; the state campaign of corruption of the population, and especially children, the state's open encouragement of drug addiction and drunkenness, government support for schismatics and sects, the state policy of humiliation and persecution of Russians, the destruction of the army, the collapse of industry and agriculture - all this war of our current state rulers against Orthodoxy and people will stop no sooner than we understand its reason.
There is a need to regret the flourishing and powerful Orthodox kingdom that was lost in 1917 - the Russian Empire, the Third Rome - and to realize that we are now like the prodigal son who has gone to a faraway land.

We, like him, also left, but only from the native shrines of the Russian kingdom, and now we are content with the food of pigs, that is, any state structure according to the principle: we don’t care what kind of power, they would give us bread.
We need to deeply regret this, and we need to correct what we have done, repent of the sin of infidelity to the Romanov Family - confess in prayers before God and His saint, Tsar-Redeemer Nicholas II, as well as before all the church people - openly and fearlessly - that we deeply mourn lost Orthodox autocratic state and fervently wish that Russia - Great, Little and White - will again be ruled by the Anointed of God, the Russian Orthodox Tsar.
This will be repentance for the sin of the people’s renunciation of God and the King He appointed.

And this is very important for the salvation of the soul of each of us, since this sin is common; I think we are all guilty of indifference to the very idea of ​​God-established autocratic power and to Tsar Nicholas - the redeemer of the Conciliar sin of treason of the Russian People, who suffered for each of us.

This means that we all must repent of this sin and ask God for the restoration of royal power.
Remember this popular verse: “And above us, as of old, there will be Faith and the Tsar, and the former Russia will rise again”? We simply have no other choice, since no one except the Russian Orthodox Tsar can stop the slide of our Motherland towards the abyss of destruction - spiritual and physical. No one, not even the best president or political party, will be able to block the way to the worldwide evil that is now rushing towards Russia.

Only an Orthodox monarch can do this. Because the Orthodox Tsar (first Byzantine, and then Russian), according to the unanimous interpretation of the Holy Fathers - from St. John Chrysostom to St. Theophan the Recluse, is the one who RESTRAINS the world's evil, about which the Apostle Paul speaks in his Second Epistle to Thessalonians.

The Tsar is gone and evil is tormenting our Motherland; the king will appear again - and evil will be stopped.
And first of all, the coming Sovereign-Emperor will protect what is most dear to us, Orthodox Christians of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus - our Orthodox faith.
Metropolitan John, the St. Petersburg archpastor, not in vain reminds us all that one of the fundamental laws of the Russian Empire read: “The Emperor, as a Christian Sovereign, is the supreme defender and custodian of the dogmas of the ruling faith, the guardian of orthodoxy and all holy deanery in the Church” (“Russian Symphony”) "). In other words, the tsar has always been the custodian of the dogmas of Orthodoxy, and this was enshrined in state laws. And in order to again restore this strong stronghold of Orthodoxy, the immovable wall and protection for our souls - royal power, we do not need to seek a special blessing, as Bishop John writes in the book “Overcoming Troubles”: “For the work of re-creating Holy Rus', no special blessing is needed. You already have it - inside you.”
It is possible that the enemies of the Church, given the mood of Orthodox people, will try to impose their king on us. But I think with God’s help we will be able to recognize a fake and reject it. We also need to be prepared for this, so that our consciousness does not become darkened by the joy that the long-awaited king has finally appeared.
