Holiday dates of the school year. The brightest anniversary stars in the literary firmament of foreign countries

Every year in the Russian Federation many significant and memorable dates are celebrated. 2018 was no exception. A huge number of writers, poets, literary critics and other cultural figures who are known throughout the world were born on the territory of our country. Every cultured and educated person in our great country, of course, notes anniversaries of poets and writers in 2018.

The activities of these people influenced the ideological consciousness of humanity, and possibly the historical course of events.

Some people confuse the concepts of “anniversaries” and “memorable” dates. They need to be clarified. Today, all over the world it is customary to celebrate an anniversary that is a multiple of five. For example, the 130th anniversary of the birth of Leonid Grossman will be celebrated on January 24, 2018, a famous literary critic, writer, also known as the creator of the ZhZL series of books, in which, by the way, he wrote about Pushkin and Dostoevsky.

Memorable dates include events that influenced the course of history of a country or even all of humanity.

Systematization of significant and anniversary dates of writers and poets can be proposed in different chronological order:

  1. Distribution of dates by century or sequence of literary movements and trends. For example: first come the writers and poets of the Golden Age, and then the Silver Age.
  2. Distribution of dates in the calendar sequence of 2018, starting from January and ending with December. In this case, the list may include writers and poets of the Renaissance and our contemporaries.

This article presents the second option of chronological order.

As a gift to children

The dates of the anniversaries of children's writers in 2018 deserve special attention. To open the door to a fairy tale, to open the curtain of a mysterious secret, to give a whole world of fantastic adventures - because for this it is not enough to just be a talented author, you need to love children with all your heart, and subtly feel their emotional experiences.

Among everyone’s favorite poets and prose writers who have created real masterpieces of the pen for their small and most grateful readers is the 110-year-old hero of the day, Nikolai Nosov. His stories, fairy tales and stories full of love for children are lively, real, witty and exciting. That is why they are so loved by young literature connoisseurs. Boris Zakhoder, whose centenary is being celebrated in 2018, has also done a lot for the development of children's literature. Her 115th anniversary also falls in 2018.

The anniversaries of writers and poets in 2018 are the best occasion to discover the wonderful world of words, to revive in memory the work of venerable geniuses of the pen, or to enjoy amazing novels, short stories, novellas and poems for the first time.

What do anniversaries and memorable dates mean?

In order to speak affirmatively about the significance of any date, you first need to understand why it is called that way. It is necessary to understand the difference between anniversaries, . Many people classify all these events under the general category of holidays, although each such event carries its own idea.

Anniversary days in the generally accepted concept and application in practice often differ from the classical formulation of this term. As a rule, when talking about some event or a specific person, everyone considers the calendar date and the time periods associated with it, while a round date is usually considered an anniversary.

The formulation of the definition of a memorable date is more understandable to the common man. Such days are those time periods that had a direct impact on the history of the country, or made significant changes in the cultural, political and social life of the state.

Celebrations dedicated to the memory of the brilliant creator are planned for this date in all cities. In addition, in November, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation promises to publish a “Turgenev” encyclopedia, which promises to give new “breath” to the writer’s creative heritage.

Foreign artists

Our compatriots do not limit themselves to studying the cultural achievements of Russian writers and poets; they also love and honor the works of foreign writers.

In 2018, representatives of the cultural sphere will celebrate the birth dates of such artists as: D. G. Brown, Stendhal, Jules Verne, G. James, F. Kafka and G. Hoffmann. These are real “giants” of world literature, whose names are known to absolutely every person in our country, so the planned festive events will be held at the highest level.
