An artist is needed to paint walls for ruble money. Artist's services for painting walls - how much do they cost and how to order. Huge selection of painting styles

Today, the author's professional painting on the walls and ceiling is already a brand. An artist-designer who undertakes to perform this delicate, extremely labor-intensive and complex work must be fluent in many methods of drawing. The master performs painting using traditional techniques, his experience, personal intuition, as well as modern materials and innovative developments.

As a result, a completely unique design is formed in a room of any purpose, emphasizing the individuality of its owner and giving originality and originality to the entire interior as a whole.

Painting walls indoors

Modern owners of country houses, dachas, city apartments, cottages, as well as cafes and restaurants, company offices and a wide variety of public premises have the opportunity order wall art painting in Moscow from a professional artist-designer.

After the work has been carried out, the interior of any room acquires unusually bright living features, special charisma, recognition and originality. It becomes memorable and creative. Such a stunning effect is achieved thanks to the author's reading, professional implementation of ideas, skillful hands and skill of the artist.

Popularity of wall painting

As experience has shown, now creative painting confidently occupies a leading position among all other used options for the author's design of a room. This technique provides the designer with almost unlimited possibilities for realizing any ideas.

Attention! It is not at all necessary to use the drawing purely on vertical surfaces (walls). If you want something more, then you can show your imagination and completely transform the interior by painting any existing surface with beautiful designs.

The main thing in the work of an artist-designer is the compatibility of the chosen style with the overall concept of the room. Of course, only a professional with sufficient work experience and appropriate education can take into account all the available nuances.

It is impossible to paint walls using video tutorials on the Internet on your own. If a person does not have the skills, is not familiar with modern techniques, has not held brushes in his hands and has not worked with paints, he will not be able to create even the simplest drawing. Amateur works always look unprofessional.

As for ordinary traditional renovations, even the use of the highest quality materials and techniques will never make the design exclusive. That is why now the author's painting has gained such high popularity. People value individuality rather than a cookie-cutter approach and strive to have something that others don’t have.

A true professional who values his reputation, respects the desire of the owners of the premises to seek harmony, express their individuality and desire to get a good result. When there is interaction between the artist and the owners of a house or apartment, their understanding of each other, the end result of the created image makes a simply stunning impression on the viewer.

This is real creativity. It was also practiced by the great artists of the past, who left humanity a rich heritage in the form of masterpieces that are still admired by millions of people.

In this sense, modern masters of painting took over the baton from them. But if in those days such orders were available only to the noble and rich, now any person who appreciates art can become the owner of a creative author’s design.

Children's rooms offer enormous potential for expressing the rich imagination characteristic of children of any age. Kids love cartoon and comic book characters, images of animals and birds, fairytale castles, and magical forests. Teenagers prefer to see in the room images of super heroes saving the world from an alien invasion, drawings of cars, graffiti, anime, abstractions, and space.

Parents must take into account the wishes of the child, his hobbies at a given time, age, gender, character. It should be remembered that the final choice is always up to the small or large owner of the room. Discussing a future project is a very sensitive topic that requires wisdom, patience and understanding. Do not rudely impose your opinion on children. If the child’s choice seems unsuccessful, you should discuss all the details together, unobtrusively point out possible mistakes, find a compromise and never go against your will.

Thematic painting
A modern artist has to create a huge number of thematic drawings. Nowadays, wall painting is ordered not only by the owners of private houses and apartments, that is, residential premises, but also by the owners of cafes, offices, sports complexes, travel agencies, hotels, beauty salons, etc. Such an extraordinary approach always attracts new profitable clients and increases the profitability of the business.

Artistic painting of walls. Stages of working with an artist

To ensure that the work is carried out at a high level and does not cause the owners of the apartment or office a lot of worries, an action plan is drawn up in advance. Clear planning of all stages and their preliminary discussion with the customer is an integral part of the artist’s work. The master begins to create a painting only after agreeing with the customer on the sketch, discussing all the details, selecting and purchasing materials and preparing the surface.

Step one

In a conversation, the customer and the artist find out how the owner of the premises wants to see the interior design. This is a fundamental stage necessary to obtain a high-quality final result that will satisfy all parties.

The task is to determine the taste preferences of the future owner of the original painting. The artist must inspect the room, analyze the features of its configuration and lighting, and clarify the situation regarding the style and color orientation of the future interior.

The master can offer his ideas, suggest successful options, taking into account all the available nuances, natural and artificial lighting, wall decoration and much more.

At this stage, the indicative cost of painting.

Step two

The artist creates sketches of the future image. You can perform several options for the customer to approve the drawing he liked the most. Necessary changes can be made to the selected sketch if the client is interested in them. Only when the customer has fully decided can the artist begin work, since from this moment the sketch is already considered approved.

Step three

The necessary materials are purchased. Then the master prepares the walls and/or ceiling.

Step four

The artist begins to paint (decorate) the surface.

Information about wall painting artists

Each of us must have seen beautifully executed drawings on the walls at least once in our lives and admired the skill of the artists. However, if earlier airbrushing was considered an underground, unprofessional art, now it is beginning to develop as a separate design direction. Every artist specializing in wall painting knows how important it is to think through a sketch, relate what is depicted to the overall building, be able to combine a beautiful design with conveying a message to the viewer, and create a certain atmosphere.

Wall painting by artist Aron Honore - a wonderful world of images

Acrylic wall painting in Moscow from the artist Aron Honore is an amazing world of visual images, unique in their artistic execution and design idea. Vast experience in this field helped to create a special drawing technique, which immediately distinguishes the work of Aron Honore's studio from the work of other studios. This is, first of all, the hyper-realism of the image - it seems as if the artist was able to stop time by capturing one of the moments on the wall. This is exactly the case when the walls begin to “talk.” But hyperrealistic drawing is not all that is in his arsenal: there are many techniques and styles with which you can bring the most unusual fantasy to life. Wall painting artist Aron Honoré does not work on his own, but has created his own studio, where a very talented and creative team helps him create beauty.

Technique of wall painting artists

Many of the artist’s works can be seen on the website: both photographs of finished images and those in progress. In general, many years of experience and love for wall painting allowed Aron Honore not only, as described earlier, to develop his own style and technique, but also to reduce work time as much as possible: the accuracy and coherence of the process is important when designing, for example, private apartments. And the use of only high-quality materials and paints makes these paintings completely safe for children.

Professional airbrushing can already be seen not only in Moscow, but also in other cities of Russia. The artistic painting of walls in Moscow by the artist Aron Honore has already become famous among connoisseurs of unique interior design. The most important thing, perhaps, for any customer is that the drawing, on the one hand, fully corresponds to the order, and on the other, that the artist brings his skill to it. The wall painting turns out amazing, which can be said not only about complex hyper-realistic works, but also about simple drawings on the walls.

To be able to create a good mood for people by making high-quality paintings in the interior - this must be learned. The profession of wall painting artist is relevant today. Wall painting in the interior and exterior is becoming as much a reality as every decent family having a furniture wall with crystal in Soviet times.

A wall painting specialist will help you change the style from the notorious floral wallpaper and furniture walls in the interior, as well as paint the walls in cafes and shops, thus increasing the flow of visitors.

Muralist- it sounds proud. This is the name of a painter who paints a three-dimensional picture on the wall. The training should begin with the examples of great masters: Giovanni Battista Tiepolo, Henryk Semiradsky, Viktor Vasnetsov, Michelangelo - these and other artists worked in the genre of monumental art.

If you decide to hire a wall painting artist, you need to come down to earth and carefully study the issue. Some pitfalls in ordering wall painting:

There are times when an artist shows other people's paintings

The portfolio shown by the invited specialist does not contain his own projects. This can happen to both a private owner and a company. As a result, you choose the perfect painting option, from your point of view, but the artist fails to cope with it.

Painting on a wall is not the same as buying a finished painting, and you can only take a creator with a voluminous portfolio at his word.

Verification option:

  • thoroughly study the company or the reputation of the private trader with whom you are going to enter into an agreement. Invite him to draw a sketch himself directly at your home. In theory, the wall painting artist is required to make a sketch for the entire wall. In practice, this is not done: it is too expensive, and additional consumption of paint and materials. Usually a small sketch is drawn.
  • Portfolios where the artist has captured his work in stages: sketch, drawing on the wall, working out the details are more credible. Since creative work is associated with inspiration, some masters may simply forget to do this. However, this is useful for promotion and further dialogue with the customer.

Historical reference: the great Tiepolo’s customers, the Italian dukes and archbishops, subjected his skill to careful testing in his youth. At first, the artist himself studied with Veronese and his “portfolio” included sketches of his works. As a sign of gratitude, he depicted customers in his paintings.

Wall painting can be done by another master

Nobody wants to see an apprentice instead of a master. After concluding the contract, if you are satisfied with the master, his reputation and reviews about him, other performers may come to complete the order. Students from various art schools and colleges actively work with renowned artists. Typically, this picture is observed in fast-growing companies, where there is a high staff turnover.

Verification option:

Discuss and specify in the contract who will fulfill the order. It is possible to allow a division of work: the main painting is done by the master, minor works and decoration are done by his students. You have the right to demand the presence of a master and his control even over minor work.

Bargaining after work is completed is inappropriate

Even if you have concluded a written contract in accordance with all the rules, the result of the work may not satisfy you. An artist can always object to you: “That’s how I see it.” Such problems sometimes arise with creative people. For example, the famous makeup artist and hairdresser Sergei Zverev could suddenly say to a client of his studio: “Sorry, I don’t see you today.” The master could not fulfill the client’s whim, but on another appointed day everything worked out.

It’s the same with mural artists: you may disagree with him in assessing the work, and someone has to give in. Either you accept the work, or the artist corrects and adjusts the painting. Not all coloring techniques can withstand drastic adjustments, and you can “screw up” the work. For example, acrylic paints dry quickly and the drawing hardens immediately. You can correct the work with oil in time.

Verification option:

  • all material issues must be resolved before work begins. Bargaining is appropriate at the beginning, before ordering;
  • A sketch of the work - painting on the wall - is usually attached to the contract;
  • It is useful to be present from time to time, observing the work of the master and his team. Of course, don’t stand over your soul and don’t bother: anyone can offend an artist.

In choosing a wall painting artist, as in art, you need to find the golden mean. The dumping prices of fly-by-night companies will not inspire confidence, but not everyone is ready to shell out millions for a painting on the wall in the bathroom. Usually, small orders are reluctantly accepted, both in residential premises and in stores.

Here are approximate prices for artist services in one of the companies:

  • Prices for wall painting start at 980 rubles per square meter.
  • The minimum order value is only 15,000 rubles.
  • Development of sketches - the first three are free, for one or two walls.
  • A specialist’s visit to the site for consultation is free.
  • Ceiling painting +25% to the cost.
  • The prices for each company are listed in a table, but a discount is provided for larger areas.

At the same time, they are practically available for painting. any styles: antiquity, the Middle Ages, Baroque and Rococo, Renaissance, classicism, empire style. Artists will also master French Art Nouveau, Art Nouveau, gradient painting, and pop art made from synthetic flowers. The loft will be painted using multi-color abstractions and three-dimensional painting.

There is also activity on the construction tender website: at the time of viewing, there are 6 applications in progress for painting walls in the interior of a house and shops, custom graffiti from 999 rubles. per m². Minimum price order for graffiti from 7 thousand rubles.

At the same time, the price calculation always takes into account the complexity of the painting, the area of the design (the larger the volume, the lower the price) and special conditions:

  • drawing at height (ordering scaffolding is required),
  • urgency of painting, execution after hours (at night),
  • distance of the object from the city center.

Of course, whether or not to invite an artist to paint the walls is everyone’s business; you can be content with printed “frescoes”.

As Paul Cezanne said, “Art is a corner of nature, visible through a certain temperament.” If the art of drawing enters your home, it will become the same corner, sweet for the heart and soul.

Good luck to everyone!

How to turn a passion into a profitable business

Philip and Natasha moved to St. Petersburg from the Far East.

Victor Sikirin

talked to business founders

They paint walls in offices and earn 300 thousand rubles a month. Here's their story.

How did you come up with the idea?

Philip and Natasha from Blagoveshchensk, Amur region. Philip studied to be an economist, Natasha studied to be an artist-designer.

Since the age of 14, Philip has been involved in graffiti: he draws with aerosol paint from spray cans. At 17, he accepted his first orders - he painted walls in clubs, shops and apartments. After university I decided to go into this field.

There are no prospects for a graffiti artist or designer in Blagoveshchensk. In 2014, Philip and Natasha got married and moved to St. Petersburg to look for work. Natasha got a job as an interior designer, and Philip began working for himself.

Nobody knew the young man in the city; he did not have a suitable portfolio. Philip looked for orders on forums, advertised on Avito and left advertisements on the asphalt. It happened that people called and asked to draw them not graffiti, but the same advertisement on the asphalt. The orders did not bring pleasure or much profit, but they allowed me to train and expand my portfolio.

Gradually, clients appeared who ordered painting of offices, restaurants and clubs. In 2016, Philip opened an individual entrepreneur for 5,000 rubles. The number of orders grew, so Natasha quit and joined her husband. The company was called "NF Design".

Portfolio

Without a good portfolio there are no orders. At first, Philip took on any task - even those that did not require creativity and special skill. For the last three years, Philip and Natasha have been working only on projects that are interesting to them.

In 2014, Philip won a tender to paint 50 m² of the Tinkoff Bank office. The main prize was not money, but a MacBook. But after the competition, large orders appeared - clients saw that the bank trusted Philip. The office painting was commissioned by the University of Online Professions “Netology”, the restaurant “Marketplace” and hotels in St. Petersburg. In 2016, Tinkoff Bank ordered Philip to paint the main office on Golovinskoye Highway. Now they are painting a dozen bank offices in different cities of Russia.

RUB 20,000

Clients and promotion

“Design NF” is invited to paint offices, restaurants, hotels and clubs. The guys rarely take on small projects - they take energy, but bring little profit. Philip and Natasha will undertake to paint the apartment only through acquaintance.

In 2016, friends made a new website for Philip and Natasha for free. It is easy to navigate, has a feedback form and reviews, and describes the general scheme and working conditions.

To show the finished work, our heroes photograph the result. If the order and shooting conditions are simple, they take the photos themselves. When professional equipment (for example, a wide-angle lens) or video is needed, professionals are ordered. A video about the project costs 20 thousand rubles, photographs - 5-10 thousand.

An example of a video that the guys make - the design of the main office of Tinkoff Bank

Negotiations and signing of the agreement

“Design NF” does not have an office - an apartment is enough for preparatory work, and negotiations are conducted by phone and via the Internet. At first, the order is simply discussed: the client talks about the task and asks the price. It is impossible to say the exact cost of the work at this stage, but it is important to discuss the minimum price in advance. Sometimes Philip and Natasha came to the site, took measurements, and then it turned out that the client did not have money for the project.

If the order is small or in another city, the guys ask the customer to photograph and measure the room. If it’s large or complex, they go to the site themselves. The walls are measured on site and the final price is announced. It includes the development of sketches, the production of stencils for drawing, the work itself, materials and accommodation for the children, if the project is not in St. Petersburg or Moscow.

90,000 R

the guys received for painting the office of the online education center

Payments are divided into 3 parts. After signing the contract, the client pays 20% of the cost - this is an advance for developing the sketch. When the sketch is ready - 40% for materials, another 40% - after completion of work.

Painting costs 2-6 thousand rubles per square meter. The price depends on the volume and complexity of the order. The minimum order in St. Petersburg will cost 15 thousand rubles, in Moscow - 30 thousand (including travel and accommodation costs). The average order is two small walls and meeting rooms - 100 thousand rubles.

"Design NF" has a standard contract that sets out the working conditions. Almost every time, the client’s lawyers try to change something: the wording, the number of sketch options, the timing of edits, work and payments. The larger the customer, the more paperwork there is. If they order a large office, they draw up a bunch of small contracts for each floor or wall.

Painting warranty - 2 years. The paint can be washed, it does not fade in the sun and does not crumble. Sometimes the customer’s employees accidentally damage the drawing, for example by scratching it. If this happens, Philip comes and corrects the matter for an additional fee, if something minor - for free. In this case, the guys keep the stencils for several months - in case they have to correct something.

No special papers or permits are needed to paint walls. Sometimes customers ask for a certificate for paint - this is necessary to comply with fire safety. The guys take it from the store when they buy materials.

How to make sketches

Before the start, Philip and Natasha draw out a layout and a conditional floor plan. It shows in proportion how large the walls are, how high the ceiling is, where the windows, doors, TV and cooler are. This is necessary so that the drawing fits harmoniously into the wall and does not look like a stain.

When coming up with a concept, they take into account the history of the company, its policies, values and corporate colors. Communicate with the customer, find out his wishes and goals. Some people want their drawings to be creative, others want them to be strict.

Afterwards they make sketches - preliminary sketches. Natasha draws sketches by hand, then redraws them on the computer using a graphics tablet. It is more convenient to work with a sketch in digital form: you can change the scale and color or send it to the customer.

A sketch is a finished drawing that remains to be transferred to the wall. Often other artists make too rough sketches or simply use photographs for layouts. The sketch and implementation turn out different, and the clients are unhappy. Philip and Natasha immediately make a drawing, which they then accurately transfer to the wall.

When there are a lot of orders and work, there is not enough time for everything. Then the guys order the drawing to be translated from graphic format into vector format or something to be corrected by freelance illustrators. The payment is fixed, depending on the task and budget of the project - from 2 to 40 thousand rubles.

When the sketches are ready, they are approved by the customer. If he likes everything, he signs the acceptance certificate.

How to create stencils

Typically, interior artists paint rooms with brushes and water-based paints. This is labor-intensive for artists and inconvenient for the customer - painting one wall takes up to 2 weeks. There are strangers milling about in the office, and the smell of paint is everywhere.

Philip works in stencil technology. This is when a stencil is cut out of paper, plastic or film, and a drawing is made from it. The stencil allows you to achieve fine detail and similarity to the sketch - you won’t be able to draw it by hand with a spray can.

1000 R

Philip pays the printing house per meter of stencil

Philip makes small and simple stencils himself. He uses a projector to project the sketch onto whatman paper or glued sheets of paper, trace the outline and cut out what he gets. He creates stencils from paper, whatman paper, plastic (PET) film, plastic, cardboard and self-adhesive film. For commercial orders, he uses only whatman paper and self-adhesive film.

Creating a stencil is a monotonous job. One day Philip carved it for two weeks straight. Now our hero orders large and complex stencils from a printing house. There they are cut out with a special plotter machine on self-adhesive film. It costs 500-1000 rubles per meter, but it saves whole weeks. Self-adhesive film has only one drawback - it is disposable. If necessary, you can cut out the same one at the printing house at any time. Paper and plastic stencils are used many times.

Paints and materials

For graffiti, spray paint is used in cans. Philip buys it in paint stores with a regular customer discount of 10-13%. A can of paint costs 300 rubles, it is enough for 1 m². Philip buys professional Spanish and German brands: Montana, MTN 94 and Arton - they dry and look better than others.

Aerosol paint has a strong smell. If they have to work in an existing office, the guys buy water-dispersion or acrylic paints “Tikkurila” and “Little Green” with color and paint with brushes and rollers. Sometimes gold leaf and other exotic materials are used if the client wants something special.

300 R

worth a can of spray paint. It is enough for 1 m²

Philip and Natasha buy materials for a specific project. They try not to take anything with a reserve - there is nowhere to store the cans. No matter how much the guys plan, there is still something left over. The shelf life of the cylinder is 5-12 years, so they are not thrown away. Now Philip and Natasha have two hundred cans of spray paint at home.

In addition to paint, you need paper and plastic for the stencil, self-adhesive, mounting and stencil films (to glue the stencil around the perimeter), film to cover the walls and furniture, and respirators. 30-40% of the project cost is spent on materials.

How to apply a drawing

It takes 2-3 days to paint 10 m². Guys rarely work at one site for more than a week.

In order not to stain anything, everything is glued and covered with film. After work, they clean up all the trash themselves.

Our heroes have learned to find and work with illustrators, but not yet with artists. They tried hiring four artists with good portfolios and experience, but were unhappy. I had to explain and redo a lot. For example, one artist mixed paint and color in the wrong proportions. Because of this, the night before the opening of the object, the putty and a layer of paint peeled off. Philip and Natasha spent the whole night puttingty and redrawing the graffiti.

Field work

Mostly orders come from St. Petersburg and Moscow. In Moscow, for the duration of the project, the guys rent a hotel or an apartment on Air BBC close to the project. Once it was possible to work only on weekends - the guys went to Moscow several Fridays in a row.

The cost of painting 1 m² for both cities is usually the same - from 2000 rubles. The guys pay for tickets and hotels themselves, and in order not to lose money, they simply don’t take on small projects in the capital. In the regions, the cost of 1 m² is set higher because it is further to travel. The amount includes logistics and accommodation costs. This is convenient for the client - he pays one common check.

Painting is a business activity, not a primary requirement. It is ordered by established companies: to impress clients or entertain employees. In the regions, almost no one needs office painting. Those who are thinking about it are not ready to pay for quality and art - the works of local artists are enough for them.

If the stencils are large, Philip delivers them by transport company. In Moscow and St. Petersburg there are no problems with paint - Philip buys it on the spot. In Ryazan, Kazan or Rostov-on-Don, paint was ordered from specialized stores in advance.

What difficulties do they face?

There are agencies, studios and freelancers on the market.

Agencies work as intermediaries - they find clients and hire artists for the project. Philip and Natasha have many offers from agencies, but they refuse them. Agencies often offer banal ideas or deceive the customer: they increase the cost of the work, use the portfolio of famous artists, and invite more budget ones to work.

People often steal works from Design NF and pass them off as their own. One day, the agency sent the guys a proposal for cooperation, in which they listed the works of Philip and Natasha as their own.

The guys often have to redraw after other artists. Once they were already the fourth performers. Every detail was important to the customer, and she was dissatisfied with the previous work.

RUB 300,000

Philip and Natasha earn on average per month

Many clients still do not perceive art as an expensive investment, and Philip and Natasha as adult professionals. In the mass consciousness, graffiti artists are teenagers who will do anything for pennies. Often it doesn’t even occur to clients that this can be done professionally and charge good money for the work.

Results and plans

After purchasing materials, paying for travel, accommodation, freelance labor and taxes, the guys are left with 30-50% of the project cost. The average net profit per month is 300 thousand rubles for two.

For the last year and a half, Philip and Natasha have been constantly busy, they always have clients. Recently, the guys received the largest order in their practice - to paint 3000 m² in twelve Tinkoff Bank offices, of which they have already painted four.
