Text compression techniques can be practiced in regular Russian language lessons. I suggest that the participants of the master class break into four groups. Each group is asked to compress 1, 2, 3, 4 parts of the text, using the compression techniques indicated above and guided by the table“Techniques for compressing text”.

I suggest checking the product obtained as a result of group work.

Conclusions: Thus, it should be noted that when compressing the source text, the graduate creates a new speech work in which the sentences must be united by a common meaning, and the content must be conveyed consistently without violating paragraph division and without logical errors.
