The top rappers. The best rappers: Russians. The most outstanding rappers according to music critics

The most Russian adaptation of Western sound at the moment. Husky passes through the developments of agile Western colleagues like Desiigner and Denzel Curry, and at the end gets real post-Soviet melancholy. “The panel” finally convinced the intelligentsia, who were completely in love with Husky, that another great artist had appeared on the stage. The lyrical hero of the single is doomed to a meaningless search for his father in a dilapidated fatherland, dotted with indifferent panel houses: “I’m driving around Russia, I won’t get to the end. / Where is my father’s panel?” Recently, the track was included in the official soundtrack for a new film about difficult relationships in a dysfunctional family, “How Vitka Chesnok took Lyokha Shtyr to the Invalid Home,” which won the Grand Prix at the Window to Europe festival.

"Mushrooms" - "Ice Melts"

All-Consuming Fungal Virus

Behind the song with its catchy chorus and funny video lies the clever calculation of experienced producer and band founder Yuri Bardash. On the eve of the release, “Mushrooms” went on their first major tour throughout the CIS. This case was captured in thousands of short-lived Instagram stories: twitchy videos shouted “We are like mushrooms, like mushrooms!” Tens of thousands of users, seeing this, began to Google, rushing to find out what kind of “Mushrooms” they were, and came across a simple, understandable song with easily parodied dances. The desire to ride the wave of fashion pushed hundreds of bloggers, schoolchildren, TV presenters and even scientists to create endless parodies. Everyone was trying to get hype, including those who had not yet even learned what the word “hype” was. But it was “Mushrooms” that received the biggest dividends, and in a matter of months they became the most popular rap group in the entire post-Soviet space.

Timati - Lada Sedan

Recycling memes

The main hits of this rap artist, known to everyone who once owned a TV, in contrast to “Mushrooms,” represent an open calculation. Instead of adding to the culture, it beautifully packages what is already there. “Why so daring”, “Goodbye”, “You have a beard - I’ll tell you yes” - all these hits, hated by aesthetes, were built on popular Internet and slang expressions. The culmination was the Lada Sedan, where the luxury businessman Timur reincarnated as the completely stereotypical taxi driver Teimuraz. Again, there was no need to puzzle over the catchy chorus for a long time - it had already been composed by the ironic rock band “Record Orchestra”. The group began to exploit stereotypes earlier, much more subtly, but much less understandable to the masses than the managers of Timati’s Black Star label do.

Face - “I don't give a fuck”

First level protest

If the parents of Face's fans heard the chorus of this song, about half of them could permanently deprive their child of access to the Internet. In fact, this guy, who looks like a young Marilyn Manson, just embodies the most primitive rebellion against his elders. This is the moment when adults turn away, and a teenager quickly tries to do everything that was forbidden to him: take poison inside and spit out taboo words: “I smoke, and I don’t give a fuck, / I drink, and I don’t give a fuck.” y..." and so on. If you do find this on your younger relative’s playlist, don’t rush to panic. Saying boastful nonsense about self-destruction can even be useful, because boasting is much safer than doing.

LSP - “Coin”

A clown waiting for his death

If a young, cheerful Face sings about hedonism, this is bravado, but for LSP it was a timid admission of depression - a description of a state when a hole in the heart cannot be plugged with either coins or women. Recently, LSP tragically turned from a duet into a solo project of the Belarusian rapper Oleg Savchenko. Regular beatmaker and sound engineer LSP Roma Englishman died under undisclosed circumstances. The creepiest thing here is that he didn’t surprise anyone with this. In the latest videos, the musician looked pretty tired and invariably drunk, and his speech included quotes from doctors with bad prognoses. It is significant that the group’s latest hit, the single “Coin”, is the only LSP song in which Roma himself comes to the microphone. Under today's circumstances, the text about the disdainful attitude towards numerous groupies already sounds like an unequivocal warning about the imminent departure: “And after the gameover / I will only be glad that my song is over.”

Scriptonite - "Vitamin"

Music created by instincts

In the song “Vitamin,” the arrogant rapper immediately appropriates the listener’s sweetheart: “I am the interest of your chick!” This approach angers and turns many people away from Scryptonite, not to mention those who cannot understand the words at all due to the thick Kazakh accent. But insecure quibblers are not even taken into account by the author. The music of Adil Zhalelov (the performer's real name) is animal eclecticism, where all the available styles from techno to blues are collected on a whim into an impressive multi-level structure. You can feel all this only by letting go of all civilization. In response, Scriptonite escorts the listener to a special club, located somewhere between American dramas about the mafia and Hong Kong action films about the triad, straight to closed parties in the capital.

Pharaoh and Boulevard Depo - "5 Minutes Ago"

Anthem of those who are always half a length ahead

While the older generation is belatedly comprehending trends, these guys have already managed to make a fortune from fashionable sounds. The meaning of the song was best illustrated, against his will, by Alexander Tolmatsky, the father of Decl, Russia’s first big rap star. The producer and media mogul commented on the clip on his Facebook page with the words “I think they will be popular.” Meanwhile, Pharaoh had already had more than one sold-out concert under his belt, the slang coined by his colleague Boulevard Depot had long ago become generally accepted in rap, and that same clip received tens of millions of views on YouTube.

Porchy, LSP and Oxxxymiron - “Imperial”

A quarrel between two key figures of new Russian rap in one song

The track “Imperial” was supposed to be included in the release of Miron’s closest friend, Portuguese beatmaker Porchi, and become a song description of the comrades’ program to create their own rap empire. The song was recorded remotely. Everything didn’t go according to plan when the sworn friend of ambitious artists, Oleg LSP, sent a sneering verse, where he almost openly mocked Mironov’s Booking Machine label. In response, the “emperor” decided to add his own verse to the song, where he directly attacks his former friend. After a while, no one needed the Porchy mixtape, despite the clever advertising campaign. But the conflict between Oksimiron and LSP still remains a hot topic for discussion.

Mozee Montana, Masha Hima and Emelevskaya - “Not bad for a woman”

Women's fights for a place in a man's world

Over the more than thirty-year history of the existence of hip-hop culture in the former USSR, the scene has never seen a single truly significant girl in the genre. There were attempts, of course (the first albums of Lika Star and Propaganda, Hydroponka and Lentos), but all projects quickly reached their very low ceiling. Nowadays, the most notable girls in hip-hop show themselves in the notorious battles. Thanks to performances at the 140 BPM Cup and Rip on the Beats events, 19-year-old Mozzy Montana has become a real star. Angry men believe that none of this would have happened if it weren’t for the “emperor’s” old tweet, and they laugh at her habit of quacking between the lines. At the last battle with Montana’s participation, this track was born - a daring answer to the aggressive majority: “Congratulations, boy, you’re doing pretty well for a woman.”

Jah Khalib - "Layla"

Variety romance with a conscientious approach

An impressive man of oriental appearance and sound under the nickname Jah Khalib is Valery Meladze and his brother Konstantin from Russian rap rolled into one. He himself, however, calls Timbaland and Jay-Z his idols, and his most viral hit “Leila” was written under the influence of Sting’s song “Desert Rose”. Bakhu (as the artist is called by his friends), like his fellow countryman Scryptonite, is praised for his complex music and criticized for his stupid lyrics. But this is the second Russian-speaking rapper after Basta, whom any viewer of “Blue Lights” can play, and he will most likely agree that Bach sounds better than all the Stas Mikhailovs and Grigoriev Lepsovs combined.

Pasha Technician - “Xanax”

Intolerant, cacophonous, but colorful rap

The song "Xanax" can be seen equally as an empty string of words and as an artistic description of the confused thoughts of a person who is bored with a harmful drug. The former leader of the group “Kunteynir” is a representative of the naive art in hip-hop. He gained fame after he sabotaged the first open Versus Battle, giving incoherent nonsense instead of punches, insulting the audience more often than his opponent and showing off his underwear. He himself claims that he loves all rappers without exception, but from the tracks you can hear that Pasha has no reverence for rap itself. That’s why he composes deliberately idiotic, but often very funny texts. Despite the general incoherence in his work, Technician is the most complete character in Russian rap. He prefers to be an honest fool instead of pretending to be something presentable and pleasing to society.

Bread - "21"

Video blogging pandemic. Patients "zero"

In the hip-hop environment, it is customary to openly dislike video bloggers involved in rap. Most of them don't even try to take the culture seriously, concentrating on puberty jokes, intra-blogger squabbles or memes. The Khleb trio, which grew out of the comedy show “I Like,” became the first bloggers to make rap their main job, thereby paving the way for colleagues Danila Poperechny, Eldar Dzharakhov, MC Khovansky, Tatarka, and many others of a smaller caliber. Rap from bloggers has become a standard advertising service. For example, Klinskoe beer recently launched a large-scale advertising campaign with the participation of a whole battery of reading video makers, and Khleb was also among the first. The song "21" is based on the standard "Bread" infantile pun, where a simple card game rhymes with anal sex. There was also some product placement in the video.

ATL - "C4"

Rave on the Bones

Over the past two years, one of the most successful rappers of the new wave of ATL has released two smart concept albums. The works brought the Novocheboksarsk artist as close as possible to the inhabitants of the peaks Skryptonite and Oksimiron. However, Sergey and his team have been working towards the themes and sound of “Marabou” (2015) and “Limba” (2017) for more than one year. Thoughts that were thoroughly developed during the releases can be heard already on the first big hit called “C4”. There is a small robot scavenger who turns into a formidable transformer from “Spark”, and a concert described as a pagan ritual in “Bright Light”, and the main theme is death as a natural part of a party called “life” from the song “Dance”. The music in “C4” is not so much hip-hop as aggressive dance electronics, the energy of which is not inferior to the wildest hits of “The Prodigy”. The chaos that happens at concerts accompanied by this track is highly recommended to be seen with your own eyes, but participation is at your own peril and risk. The total amount of energy accumulated by the young bodies in the hall would be enough for a single explosive.

Glory to the CPSU (aka Gnoyny, aka Valentin Dyadka, aka Sonya Marmeladova) - any track

The brighter the battles, the paler the songs

Everything this guy records sounds bad or very bad. In the years since the release of the very first “Versus”, his rival Miron Fedorov has remained the only successful battle rapper with really good songs in his discography. All other winners received fame and tours solely thanks to their striking duels. Concert-goers cared little about what Harry Topor was shouting into the microphone and what Rickey F was thinking about. It was in such conditions that specialized battle MCs appeared, the most famous of which today is the many-faced Vyacheslav Karelin. The discography of all his alter egos is completely beyond calculation and does not linger in memory. All these are momentary disses on popular topics: such as fashionable clothes or a noticeable song, often a challenge to another opponent for the next battle. Most of Slava's punches from a famous battle are difficult to understand without knowing the context that was centered around the opponent, and most of Slava's songs are impossible to understand unless you are familiar with the phenomenon or artist being ridiculed in the text.

Oxxxymiron - “Where we are not”

Conceptuality and indestructibility

The song “Where We Are Not” is the epilogue of a protest audio novel, performed on air on the main state channel. Oksimiron’s album “Gorgorod”, crushed to smithereens by his opponent, once again topped the top of Russian iTunes a couple of days after the battle and two years after its release. “Gorgorod”, by all accounts, hopelessly lost to its closest competitors in the form of ATL and Scryptonite in music. The content should not surprise anyone who has read at least one great dystopian novel, and even more so to those who have reached Kurt Vonnegut and Frank Miller, who also appear from a long list of inspirations. The album, however, left a lot of room for interpretation. Philology students make reports on Gorgorod, and glossy journalists see Miron Fedorov as the inspirer of the recent protest rallies, which brought together an unprecedented number of young people. The repeated success of the work does not in any way contradict the recent defeat of the author. In the penultimate song, the narrator also dies, but manages to leave a mark in the form of his works. Looking at this, it’s hard not to suspect Myron of deliberately losing, predicted in the final round of the battle: “And, let’s say, today, maybe you will be able to kill me. / I’ll continue to the stadiums, you’ll continue to troll me And t."

T-Fest and Scriptonite - “Lambada”

The new hope of the Gazgolder label will soon go on tour, but its main hit is still a joint song with Skryptonite.

"Krovostok" - "Nails"

The least recent track on our list is here because of one line. A reliable description of the thoughts of a Russian listener who, out of habit, continues to look for content in rap rather than form: “The Germans do things - we fuck tragedy.”

Listen now to find out what Black Star and Pharaoh will be doing in five years.

Russian stars of the new wave love to announce the next “game changer,” but in reality they often simply copy their American colleagues. And to understand who really sets the trends in the latest Western music, read the “Owls” guide. An anime rapper, a 21-year-old prisoner, an emo rapper and other guys that American youth listen to.

Matt OX

The youngest and most popular performer on our list. Matt OX rose to fame after his “Overwhelming” video trended on YouTube. But this 11-year-old boy cannot be denied talent. New clips from Matt OX « This N that" And " Michael Myers” also quickly gained millions of views on YouTube. Probably, what we are facing is not a one-time success, but the birth of a new star.

Trippie Redd

The 18-year-old Ohio native started out by posting his songs on SoundCloud in 2015. The first official track was "Angry Vibes". In May 2017, the mixtape “A Love Letter to You” appeared . Today the artist lives in Los Angeles and collaborates with the Strainge Entertainment label. Trippie Redd says his inspirations include Andre 3000, Drake, 2Pac, Tyler, The Creator, A$AP Rocky, Travis Scott, The Weeknd, Lil Wayne and T-Pain. An interesting mix of old and new school.

Tay-K

The rising star from Texas does not play a tough gangster, but fits the image quite well. Before the 17-year-old boy had time to truly taste fame, he already became accused in a murder case. If the rapper is found guilty, he faces a long prison sentence or even the death penalty. Tay-K is charged with the murder of 21-year-old Ethan Walker during a home invasion in late July. He is also suspected of another murder and is accused in the case of robbery and beating of a 65-year-old man. Travis Scott has already openly supported the young rapper on Twitter.

TEKA$HI69 (6IX9INE)

TEKA$HI is a white rapper, part of Brooklyn. His recitative often sounds like a heavy metal scream, which makes him stand out from the rest of the new wave. His entire body is covered in tattoos (the number code for Brooklyn), and his videos often feature anime inserts and cool motorcycles. His most famous works are “ZETA ZERO 0.5 », "Hellsing Station" », « YOKAI » and collaboration with Trippie Red, “ POLES1469 ». But recently, Trippie Redd refused to work with TEKA$HI due to the latter's accusations of having sex with a minor. But TEKA$HI's manager writes off these accusations as the machinations of competitors.

KILLY

KILLY are predicting the glory of a new Canadian superstar. Gangsters and star boys will not surprise anyone today, and “emo rap” may become the next trend. KILLY's sound is truly unique and stylish. The guy has only recently appeared on the radar, but is already moving quite widely, performing as an opening act for serious artists and participating in major rap festivals.

Brockhampton

Brockhampton brings us back the good old tube hip-hop, as it would have been before the gangsters came. The musicians themselves call themselves a boy band and with all their creativity they invite you to relax and dance. The group was first noticed on the KanyeToThe online forum, where in May of this year they posted their first album “Saturation”. The group is sensitive to the visuals in their videos, and also, unlike other freshmen, they fundamentally do not read to trap.

Global Dan

A native of Baltimore became a prominent figure on the American Internet after the release of his first mixtape "Global Warming". The artist has been releasing music for a few months, but the video “ Off-White" has already received one and a half million views on Youtube. Dan's signature style is to put a melodic sound on a trap beat, but the guy can also do traditional rap, which he clearly demonstrated in the track « Going Hard » .

6 dogs

An 18-year-old gem from the capital of modern rap, Atlanta. 6 Dogs has the image of a sad guy with a lo-fi sound and a unique rapping style, and his videos are closer to modern avant-garde art than traditional rap. The artist quickly gained popularity thanks to Youtube channels デーモンAstari and ELEVATOR. Several of his songs have already crossed the million views mark. He also has an impressive following on SoundCloud, around 50,000 people.

Lil Xan

The guy was born in California and for a long time was a member of the local team “Low Gang”. He has built a loyal following of teenagers thanks to SoundCloud and YouTube. But in several interviews for American music publications, Xan proved that the image of a serene playmaker has little in common with reality. In reality, he is a fairly smart guy, and his creativity is fully understood by his parents.

scarlxrd

Before starting his rap career, scarlxrd wrote music under his real name Marius Listrop. In 2016, he joined the rap-rock crew Myth City and came up with his current pseudonym. The artist has already released seven mixtapes. In videos and concerts, he most often appears wearing a black mask. His signature style is a reading that breaks into hysterical screams. While "Heart Attack" is his most famous track, the talented Englishman definitely has a bright future ahead of him.

In recent years, rap in Russia has developed to incredible proportions. There are many performers who work in different directions. Russian rappers write lyrics to suit every taste and have many fans. Their compositions are liked by different groups of people, but the masters of domestic rap will not leave almost anyone indifferent.

People's rating

  • Guf - he not only performs controversial compositions, the main theme of which is drug addiction, but also actively gives reasons for discussion in the press. Just look at his arrest in Krasnoyarsk or the numerous novels attributed to the performer. At one time there were rumors on the Internet that the rapper had died.
  • Basta - many rappers (Russian) focus on this artist, because for several years he has not left the top positions of the charts. His compositions are more lyrical and melodic, which attracts a fairly large audience of listeners.
  • Noize MC is a controversial performer who actively collaborates with rock bands and often combines different sounds. He also became famous for his active civic position.

There are many talented performers on the domestic stage who attract people by presenting lyrics. Many Russian rappers have achieved popularity thanks to the Internet, but there are other ratings.

The most outstanding rappers according to music critics

In 2016, many rappers received good ratings from experts. The top three are as follows:

  1. Oxxxymiron - this rapper, who studied at Oxford, has so far only two albums and countless tracks, which allowed him to become the “King of Rap 2016”. In addition, he serves as the prototype for the main character of the series "Londongrad", which is partly biographical.
  2. Slim was liked by critics for the depth of his lyrics and diligence. He releases quality albums almost every year.
  3. Ptah (Boring) has been gaining experience for a long time as part of different groups, now he experiments a lot and releases only high-quality material.

These rappers (Russian) have earned high marks not only from critics, but also from listeners. They actively tour and regularly appear in the rotation of music channels.

Gaining popularity

It cannot be said that the latest list contains only novice performers. Their ratings are simply not as great as those listed above.

  • Max Korzh became a discovery of the Russian rap scene. His lyrics mainly talk about relationships.
  • KReeD released his first album “Bachelor” in 2015. Previously, his first video received 4 million views, thanks to which employees of the Black Star label paid attention to him.
  • L’One is a Siberian of Georgian origin who is just gaining popularity. He was a participant in the “Battle for Respect” project on one of the music channels.

This top Russian rappers was created based on downloading and listening to their tracks over the past three months. Their compositions can also often be heard in TV series, films and on TV.

Rap is a relatively young musical direction, but it is firmly rooted in modern culture, having spawned dozens of heroes, and is not going to disappear anywhere. It is quite difficult to choose several of the best singers and teams of the hip-hop scene, but we still dare to present the ten best rappers, which include our contemporaries and representatives of the old school who stood at the origins of rap.

Ice Cube is considered one of the greatest rappers of all time, who began as a member of the group N.W.A., becoming the author of most of its songs, and then continued his career as a solo artist. AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted, his first solo album, was an immediate hit, setting the bar he never fell below.

Of course, the top ten rappers couldn't do without Snoop Dogg. The musician was helped to rise to the top of the hip-hop scene by his good friend Dr. Dre. He stands out from other rappers with his rather calm lyrical style of performing songs.

A representative of the old school rap, he became a symbol of the 80s hip-hop scene, and his song Mama Said Knock You Out became a true classic. LL Cool J turned out to be not only a talented rapper, but also a good actor, TV presenter and businessman who owns his own clothing brand and co-owns several record labels.

7. Kurtis Blow (Curtis Blow)

Curtis Blow became a pioneer who made rap music popular and proved that you can make money from it. It was he who became the godfather of the old school turnip. If you don't agree, let's listen to The Breaks.

6. Rakim (Rakim)

Rakim is a representative of the old school, who suddenly became famous after recording the mega hit Paid in Full, which immediately hit the top ten most popular songs on radio stations. It was his clear articulation and complex lyrics, which he perfected over weeks, that had a strong influence on the modern generation of rappers.

This is not one person, but a group that stood at the origins of hip-hop and determined the modern look of rap, which boldly combined different styles. They were the first to risk releasing an album of songs, which immediately became a hit. It was they who helped Aerosmith return to the stage by recording the song Walk This Way with them in 1986. The real old school, which has returned back to the stage, once again gathers entire halls, turning them on.

4. Eminem

The only white rapper in the top ten in the world. Dr. helped him get onto the big stage. Dre, and then everything was done by his talent, lyrics on topics that are painful for society and Eminem’s unique style of performing the text.

3. The Notorious B.I. G.

Notorious B.I. G. also known as Biggie, was the East Coast turnip king. An early death prevented him from becoming number one in the rap world, but he is still one of the legends of the hip-hop world. During the mourning, several hundred radio stations across America honored his memory with 30 seconds of silence.

2. Jay-Z

The new East Coast turnip king, rising from the bottom to a half-billion-dollar fortune. His manner and style of performance is unique, for which he is loved by millions of people around the world.

I think you've already guessed who is considered the number one rapper in the world, the king of the west coast, 2Pac. He was killed young at 25, rumored to have been ordered by Notorious B.I. G. is the king of East Coast rap, but still entered the top 100 artists of all time, having sold more than 75 million albums during his lifetime alone.

It's difficult to choose a criterion to use for ranking the best rappers in Russia. Do you prefer rappers who are famous for their punchlines - phrases that can “hook”? Or do you like the perfect delivery of the text, to which the crowd begins to sway in the same rhythm? What about the charisma and artistry of the musician?

At the end of the day, every rap fan has their own set of values. For the list of the best rappers in Russia in 2019, we tried to select candidates based on both personal preferences and good and bad reviews of concerts, as well as the opinions of music critics.

During his career, Ptah managed to be a film actor (in “Heat” by Rezo Gigineishvili and in a cameo role in “The Inhabited Island” by Fyodor Bondarchuk), and took part in numerous scandals with the most famous rappers in Russia, such as Drago, Guf, Basta and Oxxxymiron.

And in 2017, shortly before the presidential elections, Ptakha presented a video clip for the song “Freedom 2.017”, in which he ridiculed the participants in the protests organized by Alexei Navalny, calling them “majors” and who took to the streets for “Uncle Sam’s money.” The elections have passed, and no new high-profile scandals involving Ptah have yet followed.

The young hooligan, who was taken to the police department more than once, has grown up, wiser and now no longer hooligans, but writes songs about the times of his stormy youth. And the nickname Face, according to the rapper, symbolizes his versatility and frequent creative metamorphoses.

Most recently, on February 1, 2019, Face released his first mixtape Slim, which included 9 songs (mostly in the trap genre).

The father, Timofey Dremin, does not lag behind his son. He became a video blogger and started a channel called “Timokha Against Everyone,” where he expresses his opinion about the work of popular Russian rap artists.

Even those who are far from admiring rap note the amazing energy at L’One concerts. He sings sincerely, but without unnecessary pathos, without hiding his emotions on stage, and his lyrics not only “rock the audience”, but also make you think about life.

This singer’s musical repertoire includes both funny and touching songs, such as “The Simplest Song,” in which Levan sings about his path to fame.

Many graduates of the “Star Factory” disappeared from the musical horizon immediately after a short moment of fame. But Timati is not like that; his rap star shines brightly and has no intention of stopping.

For several years he has been among the top 10 best rappers in Russia and has successfully integrated rap into the official Russian stage, actively demonstrating his patriotism and support for the authorities. And people who are far from rap are inevitably familiar with Timati thanks to the advertising jingle for “Tantum Verde Forte”.

You can respect Timati’s work, you can hate him, but you cannot deny that the name of this musician is constantly heard.

This rapper and beatmaker is known not only for his songs, but also for his personal conflict with another famous rap artist, Guf. In the “Spice Baby” video (Ptah also took part in its filming), he ridiculed Guf, his manner of speaking, named some of his weaknesses and repeatedly called his rival in the music ring a “cunning Jew.”

But once Slim, Ptah and Guf were members of the group Centr - one of the most influential Russian hip-hop groups of the early 2000s. Perhaps this is exactly the case when “darlings scold - they just amuse themselves.” And at the same time they earn good money.

This is one of the youngest performers in the ranking of Russian rappers in 2019. He is 23 years old, which means Pharaoh understands the aspirations, fears and hopes of modern youth like no one else.

Music critics call him and musicians like him similar to Justin Bieber and Kurt Cobain. Pharaoh’s creativity cannot be called highly social or deeply intellectual, but so be it, but it is relevant and in demand among young people.

In his tracks, one of the most famous and popular Russian rappers advantageously combines rock melodies and recitative. In 2007, he became the winner of the largest Internet competition - the seventh official hip-hop battle - held on the website hip-hop.ru, and then starred in the film “The Prank” (he also wrote the soundtrack to this film).

Many viewers have positive impressions of Noize MC concerts. They praise the high-quality sound, good organization and the way the performer gives his all on stage.

Unlike Timati, Noize MC is not averse to “trolling” those in power. For example, the rapper refused the proposal of the “Nashi” movement to write an anthem for them, but instead composed the caustic song “Our Movement.”

If for every joke that Guf died, the rapper was given an extra year of life, he could probably live forever. He is one of the founders of the cult group Centr and the winner of many awards: Rock Alternative Music Prize, MTV Russia Music Awards, etc.

Last October, an unpleasant incident occurred with Guf - he was beaten in the elite Moscow club Bunker-42. His representatives say the singer has a concussion and two broken ribs. All that remains is to wish the rapper a full recovery and success in his future career.

Miron first tried to read rap at the age of 13, and in an interview with Keep It Real he said that he was sure that he was the founder of Russian rap. Then this confidence disappeared, but he still became one of the most popular rap artists in Russia.

Perhaps the older generation will not be close to Oxxxymiron’s work due to the abundance of obscene language, but the younger generation enjoys listening to this singer, who knows how to present his songs with high quality and not hackneyed, and often “gets smart” by inserting interesting metaphors, comparisons and forcing into the text listeners to Google certain terms. And educating young people is a good thing, right?

1. Basta, Noggano, N1NT3ND0 (Vasily Vakulenko)

The most popular rapper in Russia can safely be called “a self-made man.” He advanced to the top of the Russian rap stage not thanks to high patrons or rich parents, but thanks to his own talents. He has an excellent rapping style, honed by years of practice, without faltering or choking.

Basta masterfully handles rhyme, and he is focused on legal show business, which means there is not much obscene language in the texts. He is a kind of rap analogue of the Don Cossack, who will not go out of his way to say a word, he is rude on the outside, but kind on the inside.
