Good night little piggy. Who says good night kids. "Our heroes have favorite costumes"

In September 1964, the children's program "Good Night, Kids" was broadcast for the first time on the USSR Central Television.

The very first viewers of the program are almost pensioners, most have grandchildren who sit down in front of the TV every evening to the familiar musical call signs: “Bye-bye, all people should sleep at night, bye-bye, tomorrow will be day again.”

“Good Night Little Ones” has survived more than one General Secretary of the CPSU Central Committee, a change of generations, eras, authorities, television channels and still remains one of the most beloved children's programs.

We have collected the most important things about this program.

1. "Tired toys sleep"

The music for one of the most famous lullabies today was written by composer Arkady Ostrovsky, and the poems were written by poetess Zoya Petrova.

The song has been on air since the very first episode of the program. It was performed first by Valentina Dvoryaninova, and then by Valentina Tolkunova and Oleg Anofriev.

Since 1986, this song began to alternate with the lullaby “Sleep, my joy, fall asleep” performed by Elena Kamburova; in 1992 it completely went off the air, but in 1997 it returned to the program at the request of the audience.

2. Screensaver

Image caption These were the show's screensavers over the years

The first screensaver of the program was black and white, it had a clock with moving hands. In the late 70s, the screensaver became color.

The most “long-lasting” was a plasticine screensaver by Alexander Tatarsky, made in 1981, with a girl and toys near the TV and a bear cub riding a rocking horse.

In 1986, painted birds, animals and a good witch appeared on the screen. At one time, the program had a screensaver drawn by Yuri Norshtein - with a hare ringing a bell.

And finally, since 2002, “Good night, kids” has been using the same, but modernized and recolored Tatarsky screensaver.

3. Characters

Can you name all the characters in the show? These are, of course, Khryusha, Stepashka, Filya and Karkusha.

The long-lived program is Filya, he appeared on air in 1968. Then Stepashka (1970), Khryusha (1971), Karkusha (1979)

And those who appeared sporadically? It’s unlikely, although there were a lot of them - Pinocchio, Tiger Cub Mur, Shishiga, Eroshka, Cockerel Goroshka, Kolobok, Tsap-Tsarapych, Mishutka, Brownie and many others.

4. Presenters

Illustration copyright Valery Gende-Rote/TASS Image caption Valentina Leontyeva

It is customary to address the presenters in the program as “aunt” and “uncle.”

The most famous were, of course, Aunt Valya (Valentina Leontyeva), Uncle Volodya (Vladimir Ukhin), Aunt Sveta (Svetlana Zhiltsova), two Aunts Tanya (Sudet and Vedeneeva), Aunt Lina (Angelina Vovk).

Illustration copyright Nikolay Makyshev/TASS Image caption Angelina Vovk

Leontyeva and Ukhin were long-term residents of the program, each working in it for more than 30 years.

One day a letter arrived from a child, in which instead of an address it said “Tilivisor, Aunt Valya.”

The tradition of “aunt” and “uncle” was broken for the sake of Yulia Pustovoitova and Dmitry Khaustov, whom the puppet characters began to address simply by name.

Now the program is hosted by Oksana Fedorova, Anna Mikhalkova and Nikolai Valuev.

5. Who's behind the scenes?

Illustration copyright Stanislav Krasilnikov/TASS Image caption Natalia Golubentseva

The character of a character, of course, largely depends on the actor who plays him, that is, voices him.

Stepashka, they say, was Leonid Ilyich Brezhnev’s favorite character. As the former chairman of the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company Sergei Lapin said, the Secretary General once joked at the Politburo: “Yesterday I watched “Good night, kids!” - and there the pig said that we still have a lot of dunces left. We need to reduce their number!”

From the very beginning, Stepashka is voiced by Honored Artist of Russia Natalya Golubentseva.

For more than 30 years, until 2002, Khryusha was voiced by actress Natalya Derzhavina, who left Sergei Obraztsov’s puppet theater for this work. After her death, for several months, both Piggy and Stepashka were voiced by Natalya Golubentseva. And then the pig spoke in the voice of actress Oksana Chabanyuk.

Illustration copyright Oleg Buldakov/TASS Image caption Natalia Derzhavina

Until 1998, actress Gertrude Sufimova spoke for Karkusha, and then Galina Marchenko.

As for Filya, at first he spoke in the voice of Grigory Tolchinsky, he was replaced by Igor Golunenko, and for the last 30 years Filya has been played by actor Sergei Grigoriev.

“Good Night, Kids” is a children's program that has been on the air since 1964. Adults and children love her for her kindness and easy presentation. Each episode always ends with a cartoon. All viewers are crazy about the presenters' little assistants. The first of them were Pinocchio and Bunny, then they added the Dog and Filya. But what was especially interesting was who voiced Piggy? In addition to the characters, the backup cast and the main screensaver also changed. The song that was played before the start of the program also underwent changes.

Who voiced Piggy?

The puppet characters were voiced by Russian actors and TV presenters. Voiced everyone's favorite Piggy Natalia Derzhavina from 1971 to 2002, and currently - Oksana Chabanyuk. She is a graduate of the Shchukin School and works in a puppet theater. An Odessa native, she was able to worthily continue the work begun by Derzhavina.

These are the wonderful women who voiced Piggy. There were more than 20 presenters in the program. Nikolai Valuev was an absolute surprise for loyal viewers. It is he who has played the role of presenter in this program since 2016. Who would have expected that Nikolai is such a versatile personality. He is a boxer, a politician, a presenter, an actor, a coach, a businessman, and a radio host.

“Uncle Volodya” was loved by all Soviet children, because it was he who became the first presenter who wished sweet dreams to the kids from television screens. Together with his toy colleagues, he continued to do this for 30 (!) years.

Ukhin’s creative path began 4 years before the first release of “Good Night, Kids!” Then he just got a job as a television announcer. The finest hour came after a competition for presenters for a new children's program.

Vladimir was a professional and did not limit himself to working on just one project. Filming in films and participating in other television shows is all an integral part of his life. For example, Japanese viewers are familiar with Ukhin as the host of “Speak Russian.” He did not forget about domestic kids, touring with the “Good Night” plush team throughout the country.

Giving joy to other people's children, the artist himself became a father only at 62 years old. His first marriage ended in divorce. But after a while, Vladimir married again. The young wife gave him a son.

Unfortunately, in 2012, Vladimir died of a stroke.

Valentina Leontyeva

The first woman presenter of this children's program, the first kind “aunt”, escorting kids into the world of dreams. Young fans adored her and sent thousands of letters asking her never to go on vacation. But she never left, continuing to read fairy tales with Khryusha and Stepashka for almost 30 years.

There were many joyful and sad events in the life of the honored artist: the siege of Leningrad, studying at the Moscow Art Theater Opera and Drama Studio, working at the Tambov Theater and even an attempt to move to America. Leontyeva’s personal life also developed differently. Unfortunately, both of her marriages ended in separation. Even the son Dmitry, born from her second husband, did not save the woman from divorce.

But Valentina’s main outlet and love has always been television. It is difficult to imagine such programs as “Alarm Clock” and “With All My Heart” without her participation. It is all the more surprising that in the 90s she faced a creative crisis. Suddenly, the people's favorite was left without a job.

In the last years of her life, Leontyeva’s health deteriorated and serious vision problems began. She passed away in 2007.

Svetlana Zhiltsova

If the kids knew her from the program “Good Night,” then adult viewers remember her as the host of “Song of the Year,” “Morning Mail” and, of course, “KVN.” It was this program that made her and Alexander Maslyakov real stars.

But Zhiltsova’s life could have turned out completely differently. As a student at the Institute of Foreign Languages. Maurice Thorez, she was cast as a translator for a television project. Then they noticed a talented girl with excellent diction and offered a job at Ostankino. Who would have thought then that a few years later she would be teaching young journalists at the Higher National School of Television?

Now Svetlana is already retired and tries to spend all her free time with her granddaughters and husband.

Dmitry Poletaev

For Soviet children, he was just Uncle Dima. Like many of his colleagues in “Good night, kids!”, Poletaev has an acting education. But he found his calling precisely in working on television.

Despite the large number of successful projects with his participation, in the 90s Dmitry moved to New York. There he became a presenter on the first Russian-language cable channel. The man did not stop there and later wrote the novel Fort Ross. A movie based on the book will be released soon.

Tatyana Vedeneeva

It seems that even upon entering GITIS, while reading an excerpt from the fairy tale “The Ugly Duckling” to the commission, Tatyana prophesied for herself participation in a popular children’s program. And so it happened. The kids liked the presenter, and not only them. She became Leonid Brezhnev's favorite and even hosted a concert in honor of his birthday.

Vedeneeva began her career as a theater and film actress. She then worked as a television announcer. At first, she was trusted mainly with night broadcasts. But after a successful business trip abroad, more interesting projects appeared, including “Good night, kids!” and "Good morning."

Vedeneeva was married twice. In the first marriage, a son was born, but due to the husband’s alcoholism, the couple separated. The presenter lived together with her new boyfriend for almost 15 years. The reason for the divorce was the infidelity of the chosen one.

Now Tatyana rarely appears on television. She returned to her acting career and plays on the stage of the School of Modern Play.

Angelina Vovk

In "Good night, kids!" Vovk got there completely by accident. She was asked to replace a late presenter in the frame. But Aunt Lina’s radiant smile was liked not only by the little viewers, but also by the management of the program. So Karkusha and Fili got a new colleague.

And at the beginning of her career, Angelina wanted to become an actress. She even graduated from GITIS and starred in several films. Then cinema was replaced by work in the modeling business. But the woman found her real calling only when she took a broadcasting course. This is how her story on television began. At different times, Vovk hosted “Morning Mail”, “Blue Light” and other programs. She was even the announcer of the “Time” program. But as Angelina herself admitted, it was very difficult for her to maintain a serious expression. But her easy-going character came in handy in children's programs.

The presenter was married twice. But none of the marriages gave her the joy of motherhood. Today, Angelina gives all her love and attention to her numerous godchildren, students and, of course, the audience.

Tatiana Sudets

When the smiling and cheerful Aunt Tanya appeared on the screens, none of the viewers could remain indifferent. She admitted to her little fans that her favorite character was Piggy. In her opinion, the pig is as funny as the children themselves.

Sudets' television career began in 1972. She successfully passed the audition for the position of announcer and has not disappeared from the screens since then. Tatyana hosted the programs “Time”, “Blue Light”, “Song of the Year”, “Women’s Destinies” and others. The woman also tried herself as a teacher.

Yuri Grigoriev

Before becoming the host of “Good night, kids!”, Grigoriev managed to work as Santa Claus. Apparently, the man always liked to bring joy and fun to children.

His creative path began at the Shchukin Theater School. Then there were filming in films and participation in performances. The actor still, albeit rarely, plays small roles in television series and children's theater productions.

Yuri is married and has a daughter. The presenter recalls with a smile how, in early childhood, she looked in surprise at him, then at Uncle Yura from TV.

Grigory Gladkov

Uncle Grisha is perhaps the most musical host of the program. Of course, children remember him primarily for his funny songs with a guitar.

Gladkov was drawn to art from his youth. As the man matured, he was able to unleash his creative potential. It is Gregory who is the author of the music for the cartoons “Plasticine Crow”, “Last Year’s Snow Was Falling”, as well as melodies from the programs “In the Animal World”, “Dog Show”.

After his first unsuccessful marriage, Gregory married a second time. The couple had two children.

Yuri Nikolaev

Uncle Yura became the host of a children's program in the 90s. By that time, he was already considered a famous personality on television, but he won the love of kids during the filming of “Good Night.”

As a graduate of the acting department of GITIS, Nikolaev acted in films a lot. The man began his journalistic career as a freelancer, but then became the permanent presenter of Morning Mail. This program made him famous throughout the country. Subsequently, Yuri had many more successful projects, for example “Dancing on Ice” and “Property of the Republic”. He is also the creator of the UNIX television company and the producer of the show “Guess the Melody.”

The artist was married twice. But the children's idol never had the chance to become a father himself.

In 2014, the media reported on Nikolaev’s terrible diagnosis: doctors discovered he had intestinal cancer. Close friends, his wife and, of course, his favorite job help him fight the disease. The presenter is still in demand in the profession.

Yulia Pustovoitova

Because of her age, for children the girl was simply Yulia. But they loved her no less than their older colleagues.

Pustovoitova received her education as a musical theater actress. She took part in theatrical productions and even starred in the film “Saint Anna.”

Currently, Yulia continues to work as a presenter in other children’s programs, and also plays on the stage of the theater “At the Nikitsky Gate”.

Hmayak Hakobyan

The most mysterious and magical host of the program. The children remembered Hakobyan for his bright outfits and the famous phrase “sim-salabim-akhalai-makhalay”.

Once upon a time, the country's main magician dreamed of becoming an artist. Then there was studying at a circus school, filming films and touring with shows around the world. Now the illusionist's fame has subsided.

A man's personal life is as mysterious as he himself. It is known that Hakobyan was married three times and has a son.

Dmitry Khaustov

The youngest presenter of “Good night, kids.” For the smiling Dima, the children's program was a brilliant start into the world of art and journalism.

By profession, Khaustov is a musical theater actor. But now his main activity is related to television. Viewers could see the man in the program “Good Morning, Russia” and commercials.

Vladimir Pinchevsky

He is the Wizard, he is the Doctor, he is Munchausen. For kids, Pinchevsky was a real master of disguise.

Vladimir graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School. He was involved in several films and theatrical productions. Almost nothing is known about the further fate of the actor.

Anna Mikhalkova

How much the children fell in love with Aunt Anya became clear when the presenter received the TEFI-kids award this year. A well-deserved award, because for the past 17 years, the actress has been welcoming all the children of the country with a smile in the new episodes of “Good Night.”

Anna is the eldest daughter of the famous Russian director Nikita Mikhalkov. Since childhood, she grew up in a creative atmosphere. It is not surprising that the girl decided to continue the family business and became a successful actress. Almost every year new film projects with Mikhalkova’s participation are released. For the film “Love with an Accent” she was awarded the Golden Eagle Award.

In the personal life of the star, everything is also stable. For several years now she has been happily married to the former vice-governor of the Ulyanovsk region, Albert Bykov. The couple has three children growing up.

Victor Bychkov

Together with Uncle Vitya, young spectators participated in labor lessons for 10 years. Having diluted the female team of the project with his presence, he became the head of the “crazy hands”.

The presenter gained popularity even before participating in the children's program. The public knew him from his numerous film roles. One has only to remember his character Kuzmich from “Peculiarities of the National Hunt” and a smile immediately appears on his face. Bychkov continues to appear in films and TV series to this day.

The artist was married three times. Each of the women gave Victor a child. And this is not surprising, because, as the presenter himself admitted, he loves children very much.

Oksana Fedorova

Aunt Oksana gathered not only children, but also their fathers in front of the screens. What man doesn’t dream of hearing “good night” from such an attractive woman!

Young viewers hardly knew that what was smiling at them on the TV screen was not just a kind girl, but a former police captain and Miss Universe! Fedorova's life has always been full of unexpected turns. One day, the star even gave up the crown and the prestigious title of the most beautiful girl for the sake of scientific work and a loved one.

Oksana's first marriage to a German entrepreneur lasted only a couple of years. However, she found real happiness with FSB officer Andrei Borodin. The couple have two children.

Now the presenter continues to act in films and TV series, and also does charity work and tries herself as a clothing designer.

Dmitry Malikov

Uncle Dima came to replace his colleague Oksana Fedorova when she left the television project during maternity leave. The musician’s calm character was liked not only by young spectators, but also by their parents.

Malikov is a real Russian pop star. After graduating from music school, he began to take his first steps in the profession. Soon the whole country appreciated his talent. At first, Dmitry wrote songs for other performers, but later he himself began a musical career. Almost every song of the artist becomes a hit.

In the past, Dmitry was in a civil marriage with Natalya Vetlitskaya. Now, together with his legal wife Elena, he is raising his daughter Stefania and son Mark.

Nikolay Valuev

Big Uncle Kolya was quickly able to win the trust of small spectators. An offer to star in “Good Night, Kids!” the man received it after participating in a children's program on the Karusel TV channel.

A slightly unexpected turn in the career of the former boxer, who had 53 fights in the ring, 50 of which ended in his favor. Nikolay no longer knocks out his opponents. Now, as a State Duma deputy on physical education issues, he helps other athletes. Valuev is not without creative potential. His biography includes several film roles.

Among other things, the man is an exemplary family man. He and his wife are raising three children.

9 facts from the history of the program “Good night, kids”

Few people in our country can imagine their childhood without the program “Good night, kids.” This is not surprising, because it has been on the air for more than 50 years, and for more than one generation of children in the evenings they run to the TV screen as soon as they hear a well-known song.
frame: USSR State Television and Radio

The idea for the program came to Valentina Fedorova when, during a visit to the GDR, she saw a program called “The Sandman.” According to European folklore, this character visits children in the evenings and sends wonderful dreams to those who go to bed on time, and pours magic sleeping sand into the eyes of those who are playing too much and don’t want to go to bed. After Fedorova returned back, it was decided to create a television program for Soviet children that they would love to watch before bed.

The first screensaver, which appeared in 1964, was black and white and depicted a clock with moving hands. Then the program did not have a constant release time, and the artist Irina Vlasova painted the time again every time. In the late 1970s, the screensaver became color. The lullaby “Tired toys are sleeping” was sung along with her. The plasticine cartoon at the beginning of the program appeared already in the 1980s, and was drawn by Alexander Tatarsky.
frame: USSR State Television and Radio

After this, the screensaver was changed several times, each time collecting exceptionally good reviews from viewers. But in the fall of 1999, another one appeared, in which there was a hare ringing a bell. It was she who caused a real flurry of indignation among the audience and demands to immediately change it to the old one. Instead of helping children fall asleep faster, this video scared them and brought them to tears. The thing turned out to be that the hare in the picture had scary eyes and teeth.
frame: TK "Class"

The first issues looked like ordinary pictures with voice-over text. Then performances and short plays began to be staged for the children, in which theater artists performed. The first puppet characters of the program were Pinocchio, the hare Tyopa and the dolls Shustrik and Myamlik, which were specially made at the Sergei Obraztsov Theater. Sometimes the participants were children 4-6 years old and actors who told them fairy tales. And only later permanent heroes appeared: the dog Filya, the bunny Stepashka, the piglet Khryusha and the crow Karkusha.
frame: USSR State Television and Radio

The plot of the program, as a rule, consists of an instructive story in which the characters take part. The presenter explains what needs to be done and how to behave in a given situation, and at the end the children are shown a cartoon on the topic under discussion.
frame: USSR State Television and Radio

The first actor to voice Filya was Grigory Tolchinsky. He liked to joke: “I’ll retire and publish the book “Twenty Years Under Aunt Valya’s Skirt.” The hosts, Aunt Valya and Uncle Volodya, were no less loved by the children than dolls. After them, Aunt Sveta and Uncle Yura came to the program, and later Aunt Lina. All of them are now retired. Today the program is hosted by former Miss Universe Oksana Fedorova and Anna Mikhalkova.
frame: TK "Class"

The dolls are renewed every three years, sending worn-out sets into storage. Each working doll is treated very carefully - they are brought to the studio only for the period of filming, and the rest of the time the animals spend in a special storage room. There they are looked after: cleaned, combed, changed. And there, in cardboard boxes, is the entire doll’s wardrobe. Fili and Stepashka even have their own tailcoats with bow ties. Piggy has a real leather jacket with rivets, Karkusha has a huge number of bows.
frame: USSR State Television and Radio

Surprisingly, the program was repeatedly attributed to political “sabotage.” When Nikita Sergeevich Khrushchev’s famous trip to America took place, officials saw the new episode as a mockery of this trip and forced the cartoon “The Frog Traveler” to be urgently taken off the air. And when Mikhail Gorbachev came to power, officials did not recommend showing a cartoon about the bear Mishka, who never completed the job he started. But the transmission staff considers all this to be coincidences.
frame: TK "Class"

Such a popular project could not help but find critics. More often than not, clouds gathered over poor Piggy. For example, one day the head of the editorial office of children's programs remarked: all the dolls blink, but Piggy does not. Disorder. We decided to replace the dolls with people. The audience was outraged, and two months later the dolls were returned. And at the beginning of perestroika, Soviet Muslims took up arms against Piggy. They wrote a letter: “Remove the pork from the picture. Our religion does not allow us to eat unclean meat...” The editor of the program replied: “It may not be possible to eat, but no one forbids watching.”
frame: TK "Class"

For several years now, negotiations have been underway to include “Good Night, Kids” in the Guinness Book of Records as the longest-running program for children. And this is not without reason. Despite the fact that there are many different television projects in the world dedicated to children's attention, none of them can boast that children have been watching it for more than half a century.
frame: USSR State Television and Radio

For many years now, each issue ends with traditional phrases. "Good night, girls and boys!" - Khryusha and Stepashka wish the children, “Good night, guys!” - says Filya, “Kar-kar-kar,” Karkusha says goodbye. The presenter always ends the farewell by saying: “Good night!” or “Sweet dreams!”

The program “Good night, kids!” is recognized as one of the most successful projects in the history of not only Russian but also world television. In the near future, it will be included in the Guinness Book of Records as the longest-running children's program in the world!

The program has existed since September 1964. She almost never stopped airing and was always popular. The third generation is already watching it

The history of the birth of the program “Good night, kids!” dates back to 1963, when the editor-in-chief of programs for children and youth, Valentina Ivanovna Fedorova, while in the GDR, saw an animated series that told about the adventures of a sandman. This is how the idea came up to create an evening program for children in our country. On September 1, 1964, its first issue was released. The first screensaver was black and white. The screensaver depicted a clock with moving hands. Then the program did not have a constant release time, and the author of the screensaver, artist Irina Vlasova, set the time again every time

Alexander Kurlyandsky, Eduard Uspensky, Andrey Usachev, Roman Sef and others took part in the creation of the program. The program was conceived as a “Bedtime Story.” And immediately the program had its own voice, its own unique song “Tired Toys Are Sleeping,” which lulls the little ones to sleep. The music for the lullaby was written by composer Arkady Ostrovsky, the lyrics by poetess Zoya Petrova, and the lullaby was performed by Oleg Anofriev, and a little later by Valentina Tolkunova

The screensaver became color in the late 70s

The screensaver in the form of a plasticine cartoon was made by Alexander Tatarsky

In the late 80s, the screensaver and lullaby song changed for a while. Instead of a TV and toys sitting around it, a drawn garden and birds appeared. The new song “Sleep, my joy, sleep...” (music by B. Flis, Russian text by S. Sviridenko) performed by Elena Kamburova

The creators of the program argued for a long time about the name. There were several options: “Evening Tale”, “Good Night”, “Bedtime Story”, “Visiting the Magic Tick-Tock Man”. But on the eve of the first broadcast, they decided on a name for the program: “Good night, kids!”

The first episodes of the program were in the form of pictures with voice-over text. Then puppet shows and small plays appeared, in which artists from the Moscow Art Theater and the Satire Theater played

The puppet shows included Pinocchio and the hare Tepa, and the dolls Shustrik and Myamlik. In addition, the participants in the program were children 4-6 years old and theater actors who told fairy tales

On May 20, 1968, the most important event in the history of the program took place - the first, albeit Czech, cartoon “NUT” was shown. And then the Nut doll was made. After watching the cartoon, the main character appeared in the studio. This was a new fairytale element. The cartoon character miraculously appears and begins to communicate. However, not one of the first heroes lasted long, as they did not receive real adoration from the audience. And only in September 1968, the first participant, the dog Phil, joined the string of characters, who became legendary and still exists today. Its prototype was the DOG OF BRAVNI, which had been collecting dust in a doll warehouse for a long time. The first actor to voice Filya was Grigory Tolchinsky. He liked to joke: “I’ll retire and publish the book “Twenty Years Under Aunt Valya’s Skirt.” Today's voice of Fili is actor Sergei Grigoriev

The surprising thing is that Filya is not the first dog. A couple of years earlier there was already a character - the dog Kuzya. But apparently Kuzya’s character somehow went wrong, unlike the good-natured and smart Fili. Then Uncle Volodya, beloved by many, appeared on screens with the bunny Tepa and the dog Chizhik

On February 10, 1971, a pig named Khryusha appeared in the studio next to Aunt Valya Leontyeva. A naughty child pig is constantly playing pranks, getting into different situations and learning from his own mistakes. He owes his charm to Natalya Derzhavina, in whose voice he spoke until 2002. Until the moment when the wonderful actress passed away

In 1970, in August, STEPASHKA was “born” - a kind of opposite of Khryusha. An obedient, inquisitive bunny, very diligent, polite and reasonable.

Stepashka is voiced by Natalya Golubentseva. The actress often uses her character’s voice in real life. Hearing it, even strict traffic cops become kinder before their eyes and forget about the fine. The actress became so comfortable with Stepashka that she pasted a photo with him into her certificate of Honored Artist

In 1979, KARKUSHA appeared in the program, the only girl who took root in the program and fell in love with the audience. For a very long time they could not find the character of Karkusha. Many actresses who auditioned for the role were unable to get used to the image of the funny crow, until Gertrude Sufimova came to Good Night. And it was already impossible to imagine Karkusha differently... When the actress died in 1998, at the age of 72, a crow settled on the hand of actress Galina Marchenko

In 1984, Mishutka was introduced into the main cast of the famous four: Fili, Khryusha, Stepashka and Karkushi.

And the heroes of the program were the cat Tsap-Tsarapych

When the world was restored and issues were resolved, the children received a cartoon as a reward. This is how Krzmelik and Vakhmurka, Lelek and Bolek, the dog Rex and the mole burst into our lives

When in the early 80s the decision was made to replace the dolls with people, the indignation of millions of viewers knew no bounds, and two months later the dolls took their usual places. In its long screen life, "Good Night" has survived all sorts of times. More often than not, clouds gathered over Piggy, and for the most unexpected reasons. For example, once a question was brought up to the State Television and Radio board about why all the dolls in the program blink, but Khryusha does not.

Political “sabotage” was also attributed to the program. Allegedly, when Nikita Sergeevich Khrushchev’s famous trip to America took place, the cartoon “The Frog Traveler” was urgently taken off the air. When Mikhail Gorbachev came to power, it was not recommended to show a cartoon about the bear Mishka, who never completed the job he started. But the broadcast staff considers all this to be coincidences.

Currently the presenters are Anna Mikhalkova, Oksana Fedorova, Andrey Grigoriev-Appolonov and Dmitry Malikov

And five friends live in a toy house in Ostankino: Filya, Stepashka, Khryusha, Karkusha and Mishutka. Each of them has its own story.

Our little pig Piggy is the life of the party. He is very inquisitive: everything is interesting to him. Who is the master of asking questions! He is the first inventor: almost all tricks and pranks are the work of Piggy’s paws. Not a single prank is complete without it. How fun it is to get a little naughty! Our Piggy doesn't really like to clean and put things in order. But together with his friends, he is ready to move mountains, and not just clean his room. Piggy loves everything sweet: the best gift for him is a kilogram or two of sweets, several bars of chocolate and a large jar of jam. Karkusha sometimes gets a little angry with Piggy: after all, eating a lot of sweets is harmful! But Piggy says that sweets help him in his creativity. Our Piggy is a famous poet. Usually inspiration comes to him after he eats sweets. At least that's what he says.

Stepashka
In 1970, little viewers met Stepashka for the first time.

Stepashka has a carrot growing on her window. But only for the love of art. After all, Stepashka loves nature very much and often goes to the forest with Mishutka. And Stepashka even sketches the most beautiful landscapes. He really wants to become a real artist and therefore studies hard. His friends really like Stepashka’s drawings, especially if he draws their portrait. Stepashka loves to dream. Often all friends gather together in one room and listen to Stepashka. After all, dreaming is so interesting! True, Khryusha and Filya run away, but only in order to immediately begin to act and make Stepashka’s wildest dreams come true. Stepashka is a very good friend: you can trust him with any secret, and rest assured, Stepashka will not tell anyone anything

Filya
Filya is an old-timer of the “Good night, kids!” program. Its appearance dates back to 1968.

That's who is the most well-read! Sometimes you think that Phil knows everything in the world! Or at least wants to know. Fili's room is always in order: books and textbooks lie in an even stack on the shelf, all the toys are in their places. Filya loves music very much. He even thought about taking part in a music competition, but remembered that he could not play any musical instrument. But that's just for now. He is a very responsible and serious dog. If he promised something, he will certainly fulfill it. He sings very well. And who knows, maybe we’ll see Filya on stage soon!

Karkusha
Karkusha became a regular participant in the program in 1979.

The only girl in our company. Karkusha is sure that these boys need an eye and an eye! Just look, they'll learn something strange. This is where she will appear and everything will fall into place. You also need to be able to play pranks in such a way that no one is offended: this is what Karkusha thinks. She loves bright ribbons, bows and decorations. Well, that's why she's a girl. Karkusha is also a wonderful cook. All my friends' favorite dish is the signature cake. True, Piggy always strives to take a larger piece, but this trick will not work with Karkusha. She also loves to be complimented. All friends are happy to tell Karkusha what a wonderful, beautiful and smart crow she is. There are no such things anywhere else!

Mishutka
The little bear Mishutka appeared on the screen in 2002.

Previously, before meeting his friends, Mishutka lived in the forest. He still has a small hut where he keeps some of his supplies and tools. Mishutka loves sports very much, and every morning she does exercises with our friends. After all, all babies should be strong and healthy. Mishutka loves to make crafts. There is a special corner in his room where Mishutka spends hours poring over his creations. Oh, what crafts come out of Mishutka’s skillful paws! One day, Karkusha’s favorite locker broke. What do you think, Mishutka instantly made a new one, more beautiful than the previous one, and now Karkusha cannot get enough of it. Mishutka often does not understand many things, because life in the forest is very different from life in the city. The little bear goes to Fila for help, and his friend always helps him with pleasure. Sometimes Mishutka begins to miss her forest. And then he leaves for several days. But it definitely comes back. Because his friends and kids are waiting for him, who watch the program “Good night, kids!” every evening.
