And he immediately gains the sympathy of readers, becoming one of the most popular superheroes in the Marvel universe.

To omics Spider-Man breaks all the stereotypes of the genre. In its pages, the reader is presented with a teenage orphan, Peter Parker, living with his Uncle Ben and Aunt May. who is trying to combine ordinary life teenager with harsh everyday life superhero. You can read Spider-Man comics online on the website.

For decades, superheroes have appeared before readers in the most different images. Even Batman, whom we are accustomed to perceive as a dark hero, was once almost comedic.

And how many guises Spider-Man has changed! We saw him as a frivolous teenager fighting crime in between classes, and as an adult head of the family, combining exploits with married life, and the embodiment of ancient forces, and the leader of his own corporation, and even a supervillain who suddenly decided to protect ordinary people from former accomplices. And this is only in the main universe, without taking into account numerous parallel realities.

Of course, the character's image inevitably changes over time depending on current trends and the views of specific screenwriters. But sometimes episodes are released in parallel, and even in them the hero appears in completely different roles. An example of this is the recent Spider-Man series from Dan Slott and Chip Zdarsky.

The amazing Spider Man. World-class

While Doctor Octopus owned the identity of Spider-Man, he managed to mess things up. When Peter managed to return to his body, the consequences of Octavius’ actions echoed for a long time. But the Octopus also had some luck - for example, he created a corporation that made Parker a millionaire. Now Peter must combine the roles of hero and businessman.

Amazing Spider-Man: Worldwide Vol. 1

Genre: superhero action
Screenwriter: Dan Slott
Artist: Giuseppe Camuncoli
Original output: 2016
Publishing house: “Come il faut”, 2018

Typically, major superhero series often change writers. Dan Slott, who spent eight years writing about Spider-Man, is a rare exception. This summer he is leaving the Amazing Spider-Man series to pursue stories about Iron Man. But it’s too early for Russian readers to say goodbye to Slott’s spider stories. We recently began releasing the World Level chapter, which at the end of 2015 marked the relaunch of the Amazing Spider-Man series and opened new page in the hero's biography.

Although Slott wrote Spidey stories for many years, they were not all the same. On the contrary, the author kept writing out unexpected conflicts and stories. Let us recall, for example, the large-scale crossover “Spider Worlds,” where all the Spiders of the Marvel multiverse were threatened by a family of travelers between worlds. Or the year when the consciousness of Doctor Octopus lived in the body of Spider-Man. So in “World Level” Slott decided to take a new look at the hero.

We're used to seeing Peter Parker struggling to make ends meet. But thanks to Octavius, he became rich, became the head of an international corporation and, according to the official version, made Spider-Man his bodyguard. Now he has high-tech suits, a car and even a submarine, and he must combine his exploits with leading the company. In general, Peter became something like Tony Stark - only without his experience. The criminal organization Zodiac decides to take advantage of this disadvantage, eager to get its hands on the developments of Parker Industries.

Over the years that Slott has written about Spider-Man, the hero has had to deal with many colorful opponents. Some Dan came up with himself, others he took from old comics and reimagined. So “Zodiac”, in fact, was created by Slott himself, although there have been organizations with this name in the Marvel universe before. Alas, there were no truly worthy enemies from Zodiac. The organization serves as a catalyst for a dynamic action movie, but its members themselves are not distinguished by depth and originality - and a collision with them turns out to be just a passing adventure.

Other enemies, our old acquaintances (we won’t spoil it), are of much greater interest. They remain in the background for now, but promise an interesting continuation for the series - much more dramatic than its debut.

The beginning of a new chapter in the history of Spider-Man looks entertaining, but nothing more. Unlike Octavius in the Body of the Spider - a plot that hooked and kept you in suspense from the first pages - the first volume of World Level is forgotten as easily as it is read.

Peter Parker: Amazing Spider-Man. Volume 1. Towards Twilight

The girl Teresa fell on Parker out of the blue, declaring that she was his lost sister. Together with her, Peter went to Europe, where he experienced an unusual adventure and found in Teresa true friend. And when her life is in danger due to her service in S.H.I.E.L.D., she again turns to Spider-Man for help.

Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man

Genre: superhero action
Screenwriter: Chip Zdarsky
Artist: Andy Kubert
Original output: 2017
Publishing house: “Come il faut”, 2018

Chip Zdarsky started his career in the industry recently, but immediately made a lot of noise. The author's debut project, Sex Criminals, instantly brought him fame and the prestigious Eisner Award. Having loudly declared himself, Zdarsky soon got a job at Marvel. At first he took up comics about the funny but minor Howard the Duck. But then he was entrusted with launching a new series
about one of key characters Marvel - Spider-Man, and even in tandem with the brilliant illustrator Andy Kubert.

In English, Zdarsky's The Amazing Spider-Man started last year and was released in parallel with Slott's series, but they are completely unrelated to each other, and they are strikingly different in tone. Slott's comic is dedicated to fateful events for both the hero and the whole world. But Zdarsky told a more down-to-earth story. Its Spiderman like in the old days good times, patrols the streets of New York and, with cheerful, although not always successful, jokes, protects civilians from criminals.

The author chose an extremely light style and throughout the entire comic he balances on the verge of parody. In the first third of the plot, when the conflict has not yet really begun to emerge, it generally seems that Zdarsky is making a series of comedic sketches from the life of Spider-Man. Here he is saving passers-by from a completely ridiculous villain. Here he comes on a date with a recently rescued girl wearing a jacket over a superhero costume and gets into an altercation with other visitors to the cafe. But, once at the club, he performs a short stand-up. And Zdarsky himself breaks the fourth wall in the footnotes and comments on what is happening in an ironic manner or makes references to other comics.

Only halfway through the volume does Zdarsky seem to remember that it would be nice for a superhero adventure to have some kind of conflict. The comic has a coherent plot and good intrigue. But the humorous notes do not disappear even after this. For example, the next clash between the hero and the villain Kingpin is written in an extremely humorous manner - the confrontation between these characters has never been so funny.

Kingpin is far from our only old friend who will appear in the plot. Although Zdarsky is new to superhero comics, throughout the volume he never tires of proving that he has a good understanding of his character's background and peppers the plot with references to his previous adventures. However, as a result, The Amazing Spider-Man is not suitable for unprepared readers who are just beginning to get acquainted with the character. It’s worth reading the comic if you already have an idea of what has happened to the hero and his environment lately.

"The Amazing Spider-Man" is good not only for its humor and dynamics. At the end, readers are treated to one of the most memorable and touching scenes ever seen in a Spider-Man comic book. last years. To get information, he agrees to give an interview to Jonah Jameson, and this turns into a very emotional dialogue that has become a true decoration of the comic.

Zdarsky's debut in the series was not flawless, but bright. He managed to create a perky and dynamic story with some good suspense and some amazing scenes.

Classic comics about Spiderman still sell in huge numbers to this day, although they began being published back in the sixties. Did the creator of the series, the legendary Stan Lee, think about how popular his brainchild would be? Everyone knows the story of how this man looked at a fly crawling on a wall and came up with Spider-Man - a hero who is inspired by an insect and gets bitten by an insect, but who fights crime with his superpowers. After this, the era of Spiderman began - starting from the very first comic book, the world simply went crazy for graphic stories depicting life path this character.
