Our life is hectic and hectic. We are always in a hurry, running, or late. But our time on this earth is not so long. What awaits beyond the threshold of life? Emptiness? Is there life after death? Can the dead see us? Is it possible to communicate with those who have already left us?

Will this mean that the answer to the question: do deceased relatives see us is “yes”? The Church says that death does not exist, only a transition from one world to another occurs. And each of us has already experienced such a transition. This happened at birth, when a new person left his mother’s womb in agony and suffering.

In the Orthodox Church there are special days when the dead are commemorated. This custom is based on the deep belief that the human soul is immortal, and death itself is a sleep for the body and a time when the liberated soul can rejoice.

This is probably why Christians in their prayers wish their deceased loved ones peace and tranquility where there is no sadness, no suffering, no illness. Religious people are confident that the answer to the question: do the dead hear us is positive. People also believe that with their prayer they will help departed souls on their journey and protect them from evil forces.

The existence of hell and heaven

However, it is difficult for an ordinary person to believe this, and previously a person who would claim such things was simply considered crazy.

So, how do our dead parents live? There are many views here. The Church says that the soul flies either to hell or to heaven. In heaven there are all kinds of blessings, but in hell there is eternal pain.

According to ancient Greek ideas, souls that did not anger the gods wandered in Elysium, and sinners were punished in hell.

But no one has yet been able to find out exactly what happens to a person after death.
