Anniversary evening of Raymond Pauls. Anniversary concert of Raymond Pauls (03/09/2018) watch online

"Million Red roses" and "Maestro", "Vernissage" and "It's not evening yet", "Love the pianist" and "Antique clock"...Who doesn't know the melody of these songs written by Raymond Pauls?

For an evening in honor famous composer many distinguished guests gathered. Pauls' work this evening will be presented by Alla Pugacheva, Valery Leontyev and Laima Vaikule. On the stage there was an orchestra and a black piano, which the maestro played. He himself hosted the program with his characteristic Baltic wit. The only decoration on stage is the glowing autograph of “R.Pauls”.

According to Raymond Voldemarovich, the most difficult thing was to select three dozen out of four hundred songs. Announcing Laima Vaikule, Pauls told how he, Reznik and Alla Pugacheva took risks by releasing them on stage in the early 80s new star, whose hoarse voice and amazing plasticity were unusual for the Russian public of that time. At the concert, Laima showed all her best numbers to the songs of Raymond Pauls - “Charlie”, “It’s not evening yet”, “On Piccadilly Street”, “Blues”. And she performed one of these songs lying on the piano, and Raymond seemed to play only for her alone. Several songs were performed by Valery Leontiev - “Love the Pianist”, “Disappeared” sunny days", "Cabaret". Appearing on stage, Alla Borisovna turned to Pauls and sang: “I don’t believe my eyes! Have you really come? My God!". She also performed “Maestro”, “A Million Scarlet Roses”, “Antique Clock” and other hits.

Taking part in the evening are Laima Vaikule, Valery Leontyev, Maria Naumova, Normund Rutulis, Gunar Kalnins, Guna Paula, the ensemble "Kukushechka", Alla Pugacheva.

Soviet Latvian composer Raymond Pauls(Raimonds Pauls), born in Riga in January 1936, celebrated last Friday, February 26, at one of the largest concert venues Russia "Crocus City Hall" its 80th anniversary festive concerts with friends.

People's Artist of the USSR and Minister of Culture of Latvia (1989-1993) prepared for the Moscow public a real 3-hour music festival, full of hits and hits different years. Long before the start of the evening, hundreds of people flocked to the hall, wanting to hear the maestro’s magical melodies. There was nowhere for the apple to fall that evening; the hall was filled to capacity with both the country's elite and ordinary citizens who admired the composer's talent.

The anniversary gala evening, called “Sacred Love for Music,” opened with a musical intro from the “Phonograph Symphony Jazz” orchestra under the direction of conductor Sergei Zhilin to the accompaniment of Raymond Voldemarovich, who sat at the black piano. “Good evening. Thank you for coming to me today, this is very important to me. Why are you looking at me so sadly? Laima told me that I was well preserved,” Raymond Pauls greeted the crowd of thousands in a joking manner.

"I am very pleased that the program will be started by my old friend Valery Leontiev," the composer announced the first guest. The tanned Leontiev began with the old retro-pop work "Verooka", and then, with the support of his ballet "Dangerous Liaisons", performed the composition "Cabaret", transporting all the spectators into the atmosphere of celebration and dancing. The central decoration in the form of a circle, which temporarily turned into vinyl record in the center of the jukebox, soon appeared before the viewer as the Moon, marking the song "Eclipse of the Heart". Leontyev’s enchanting block of numbers ended with a truly warm and kind song “The Sunny Days Have Disappeared,” which in the new arrangement acquired shades of Latin music.

“With your permission, I want to invite to the stage an artist without whom I can no longer imagine my life. We will sing you our “Vernissage,” announced Valery Yakovlevich’s signature number with Laima Vaikule, dressed in an extravagant black suit. The applause of the audience drowned out the performance of the artists, and many women tenderly sang along with their beloved couple.

As you may have guessed, the audience was followed by a block of songs by Pauls addressed to the stylish and unique Latvian singer Laima Vaikule. As the weather and seasons changed on the screens, the composition “It’s Not Evening Yet” was performed, taking the audience back to 1987, and moments later the Latvian woman moved to the hero of the day, noting his special sense of music and love for it. There was also the hit song “I’m Praying for You,” as well as the kind and humorous “Charlie,” during which the funny eccentric Charlie Chaplin danced on the screen. It’s worth adding that Laima’s numbers were supported vocal group"Acapella Express", externally fresh notes of reading favorite works by millions. The last surprise for the public was the song “I went out to Piccadilly”, without which the maestro’s anniversary evening could not have happened.

Another representative of the "first echelon" Russian stage became National artist Russia and Ukraine Alexander Malinin, who sang the romance “I’ll Choose Music” to break the heart and ligaments. Despite difficult character It’s impossible not to recognize the performer’s talent; there has never been such a vocally emotional performance this evening. “It is a great honor for me to perform your song today and I would like to sing some more of your works at the centenary,” Alexander Nikolaevich said, addressing the composer and leaving the hay.

Separate block anniversary evening was the performance of participants in the television project “The Voice” of different seasons. Renata Volkievich, who performed Alla Borisovna’s “Antique Clock,” came to pay tribute to his talent and express their respect to Raymond Pauls; Mariam Merabova, who sang Pugacheva’s song “Return” very cheerfully and artistically, as well as the Chechen singer Sharif, who recalled Pauls’ work “Two Swifts.” The block was completed by Gleb Matveychuk, who performed with the ballet and the song “Dance on the Drum,” Olivia Crash with “I Love You More than Nature,” Georgy Yufa with the life-affirming composition “The Path to the Light,” and Vitold Petrovsky, who sang against the backdrop of the night ocean, illuminated by the moon. with light, the work "After the Holiday".

All participants in the Channel One television project certainly have interesting and sometimes even unique vocal abilities. Their readings of the maestro’s legendary songs were interesting and new in their own way, but they cannot yet compare with the old guard of the scene. Some were hampered by excitement, some still lacked charisma, and some, like Mariam Merabova, gave it 100% and received thunderous applause from the audience. In any case, I would like to acknowledge the merit of the artists’ mentor Grigory Leps, who even after the end of the show helps the talents find their audience and gain experience.

The spectacular and stately Svetlana Loboda, dressed in a golden evening dress and complementing her look with diamond earrings, sang the song “Fiddler on the Roof” in her unique manner, demonstrating her artistic stature.

The pause of the evening before the appearance of the next guest, Latvian performer Intars Busulis, was filled with the instrumental number of Raymond Voldemarovich “A Man in the Prime of Life”, which delighted the audience with a beautiful piano piece. Video art of the silhouette of a couple twirling in clouds of smoke and couples in love hiding under umbrellas and soaring into the air accompanied Busulis’s numbers for the songs “I’m drawing you” and “Umbrella”. To be honest, the artist was not pleasantly surprised, but the audience was looking forward to him and greeted him warmly with applause.

Majestically and imperially, in the surroundings of church stained glass windows, clearly only one singer of our stage could sing “Let’s Help God” - Irina Allegrova. “You are our dear. I want to wish two things to this great master - longevity and that you delight us with your creativity for many more years,” the “empress” said at the end of the issue to Pauls.

An equally significant figure in domestic show business appeared on stage later - the king of the stage, Philip Kirkorov, triumphantly received a standing ovation from the audience after performing “Even if you leave.” “You are doing what few others have succeeded in doing - having the jazz essence of creativity, you create hits and hits that become truly popular. Could there be greater recognition of the composer?”, said Philip Bedrosovich leaving the stage with flowers.

In the image greek goddess Ukrainian diva Ani Lorak appeared on stage, singing a very responsible and emotional work"Love has arrived." From the tense vocal cords and the artist’s face, it was clear how difficult it was to achieve this task at the level of performing a song by Robert Rozhdestvensky and Raymond Pauls; it had to be lived with all the heart and soul, which is what the 2008 Eurovision participant managed to do. The surprises did not end there; soon Grigory Leps appeared on stage, singing with Ani the duet “Yellow Leaves”, which was originally sung by Margarita Viltsan and Ojars Grinbergs.

Having presented the maestro with a bouquet of scarlet roses, Grigory now solo, in his ultrasonic manner, sang Alla Pugacheva’s song “For an Encore,” which tells about the artist’s life, this is also evidenced by Andrei Voznesensky’s lines “I will sing you for an encore not my song, but my life.”

The evening was already drawing to a close and many no longer hoped to see the woman who sings, to whom Raymond Pauls wrote without a shadow of a doubt his best songs. It was Alla Pugacheva who the maestro gave his diamond melodies, his love, a piece of his life. With her appearance with a bouquet of flowers, the hall froze, forgetting even about the applause and applause, wondering what kind of work the legend would perform. In her characteristic theatrical manner, the Primadonna opened her block with the work “Yesterday’s Performance,” which later merged into the humorous and playful “It’s About Time.” Moreover, Alla turned the second number into a whole theatrical scene with false hair, funny black glasses and changing shoes in front of the viewer. At this time, multi-colored alarm clocks were bursting on the screens with all their might, reminding that it was time for business and time for fun.

Prima looked gorgeous, no one could miss Pugacheva’s slender legs in leather pants and fit figure, we're not talking about a young face. Having also sung the hit “Without me to you, my beloved,” Alla took the floor: “The songs that I sang are the children of two maestros - Raymond Pauls and Ilya Reznik. But I have a debt to another author Andrei Voznesensky, to whom I wrote many songs For years I don’t know why I ignored it. Now I want to pay tribute to the person who is no longer with us and sing the song “Don’t Leave Me.”

The final chord of the evening with all the participants of the anniversary evening taking their bows was, perhaps, set by main job Pauls, known and performed in many languages of the world - Alla Borisovna's song "A Million Scarlet Roses". It was very symbolic that the artists came out to the birthday party not empty-handed, but with baskets of red roses covering the stage with flowers, just like in the line from the work - “like a continuation of a dream, the square is full of flowers.”

It was an enchanting and colorful concert by the truly cult composer and musician Raimonds Pauls, who presented the artists and the audience with hits that passed the most important test in their lives - time. Of the more than 500 works written by the maestro, almost 50 became songs of decades; not a single generation listened and fell in love with the Latvian melodies. The work of Raymond Voldemarovich has become invaluable contribution into the cultural fund of the country, into the history of Soviet and Russian music, stage. In this report we wrote about the creations of a man of the era, a man who was sacredly in love with music and gave it his whole life.

We would like to add that Channel One will soon broadcast a TV version of the concert.

Photo report of Raymond Pauls' concert in Crocus City Hall dated February 26, 2016:

For his creative evening, the maestro demanded “talented youth” from Leps

Philip Kirkorov was itching almost like an old man because of the “thin” line-up of participants in the creative evening in honor of the 80th anniversary of maestro Raymond Pauls - he ate the whole baldness of the organizers. They were perplexed: Ani Lorak, Loboda, Leontyev, Leps, Allegrova, Malinin, Laima! Pugacheva, after all! Not counting Sun-Face himself! Wow - thin!

Raymond Pauls.

The King of Pop, however, was not unhappy with Alla, of course. Holy holy! And the “fry”, who, indeed, scurried across the stage to the accompaniment of Maestro Pauls, every now and then getting tangled up under the feet of the majestic procession of pop grandees, pop kings, queens, empresses, who arrived to honor the cult and one of the most brilliant pop composers of the last third of the 20th century century.

The six-thousand-seat hall was packed to capacity, and given that the posters did not include Pugacheva, who agreed to participate in the event only in the third month of whims and doubts, when tickets were already sold out, it was clear that the viewer came to enjoy and be nostalgic primarily for the imperishable music of the maestro in any of its incarnations. " Good songs don’t get old, they become classics,” the Prima Donna once said, without whom, however, only a madman could imagine this event...

The culprit of Filov’s anger turned out to be - oops! - the birthday boy himself. In an interview with MK, the master admitted: “I agreed with Grigory Leps’s proposal (to organize an anniversary concert in Moscow) only on the condition that his production center brings together not only stars. I said: we definitely need talented youth, because the future is youth.”

Despite the fact that Mr. Leps spends seasons mentoring talent shows on TV and also runs his own competition “Highest Test”! There were more than enough young people gathered. And if Master Pauls called stars to the stage mainly short characteristics- “wonderful/wonderful singer/singer”, then “our future” with paternal warmth and detailed description each talent and vocal was represented by Sergei Zhilin, head of the Phonograph Jazz Band, musician and teacher, who - and this was obvious - did not less than Mr. Paulsa advocates for fresh blood on the stage.

“Fresh blood” was indeed vocal, assertive, and energetic. The “young” gave their all, diligently performing roulades of imperishable pop songs - mostly from Pugachev’s repertoire, thereby warming up the audience before meeting with the Most Important and Beautiful. Mariam Merabova, Vitold Petrovsky, Renata Volkievich, Georgy Yufa, Gleb Matveychuk are already known thanks to rating TV competitions and, in general, are quite talented. But the insidiousness of Mr. Pauls’s compositions and the trail of their original performers is that the formula “song is theater” is not just beautiful phrase, and the quintessence of all pleasure. And at the climax “Don’t listen to me/It’s all stupid bravado/You know how I’ve been waiting for you!” the viewer should feel with his skin not stupid bravado, but the hopeless drama of his whole life “ strong woman who is crying at the window." And howl with her as a wounded beluga... So far, the “talented youth” have mastered only “stupid bravado,” albeit very loudly.

Standing apart, however, in this row of “our future” are Olivia Crash (“I love you more than nature”), Sharif (“Two Swifts”) and Intars Busulis with the cover “I Draw You”, inherited from Jaak Joala and reinterpreted now with such an original personality and vocal beginning that even Raymond himself couldn’t get enough of it. “Who could have known, when at a concert in Riga before the New Wave a few years ago I first saw this modest and slightly awkward guy - as he seemed to me then - that he would grow into such a wonderful singer!” - the master, usually restrained in emotions, delighted in a conversation with MK.

However, the undoubted advantage of the “youth” block was that the maestro and the jazz band “Phonograph” with the orchestra had the fortunate opportunity to play to their hearts’ content with live sound, since the “pop kings” and “empresses” apparently considered it beneath their dignity and professionalism not only to get confused on the same stage with the “fry”, but also to sing live. However, many of the phonograms were specially rewritten for this show and sounded very fresh, and the grand artists could quite comfort themselves with the fact that they sang and sang and sang “theirs live” as much as no youngster had ever dreamed of. Which is also true! Hazing, therefore, is not only in the army...

But the masters once again showed both the audience and the youngsters what the school of survival was, which they all went through in that era when Mr. Pauls was already composing his hits, and Valery Leontiev, for example, was “still banned everywhere” - which reminded Philip Kirkorov, who performed the luxurious hit “Even If You Leave,” with which the “banned” Leontyev first performed as a “random spectator from the audience” at Pugacheva’s concert at the Variety Theater.

This “school of survival” apparently still keeps our megastars in good shape, which is the envy of many “young talents”. And, if Valery Yakovlevich can easily be compared with the tireless Mick Jagger, then, looking at the cheerful Laima in an amazing tailcoat, Marlene Dietrich comes to mind more and more often... “Yes, there were people in our time, not like the current tribe!”, the poet would say , just by looking at Irina Allegrova...

And for those who did not have enough costume drive and visual courage, like, for example, Grigory Leps and Ani Lorak, they did not hesitate to play music - they rolled out their band among the music stands with violins and thundered “Yellow Leaves” so loudly that poor Raymond opened his mouth and comatosely he leaned his elbows on the lid of the piano, having stopped playing, because anyway, behind the rolling reefs there was almost hard rock no one would have heard the timid tapping of the keys. But then Mr. Leps for some reason stepped on the same Pugachev rake, deciding to play “Encore” in his turn, and although it was enchanting in Lepsian style, in this interpretation it was very similar to the monotonous howl of a muezzin from a minaret, after which I didn’t really want to call the artist for an encore.

They brought some simple props onto the stage - a table, a mirror, a couple of hairpieces and something like galoshes. “You don’t even need to introduce her...”, Raymond Pauls began his short announcement and did not have time to finish... The air in the hall vibrated with the enthusiastic howl of many thousands of throats. Alla, although she left the stage as an active touring performer, still from time to time pleases her people with her next coming. And this coming is worth its weight in gold every time. Of course, everyone who bought a ticket to Pauls’s anniversary harbored a secret hope of “getting rich.” And I was right. The Pugachev jackpot has hit everyone!

Alla, wearing stiletto heels (sorry, not Louboutins!) and amazing black leggings (or whatever they are called in fashion now?) appeared like a veritable fashion model before the eyes of her flock. But knowledgeable fans They were worried - she has bo-bo legs, and she’s wearing stiletto heels! But the Prima Donna stoically carried the cross of the Living Legend throughout the entire song, striding with her legendary slender legs in stilettos along and across the wide stage, showed everyone her excellent form and sat down at the table for the second song. It was then that the true purpose of the galoshes became clear. Having pinned curly hairpieces to her head and changed her shoes, she created the image for the hit “Hey, you’re up there!”, and then she remained in galoshes - so as not to be constrained in her movements and emotions.

To the fact that from her and Pauls’ “golden fund” had already been shown by other participants of the anniversary, the Prima Donna also added “Without Me” and the hit of all times (including Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese) “A Million Scarlet Roses”, and to celebrate It was a complete success, gifting the audience with two new products, which turned the maestro’s anniversary into an event of extraordinary proportions. More precisely, not entirely new, but rather a forgotten rarity (“Yesterday’s Performance” based on the poems of Ilya Reznik) and unreleased (“Don’t Leave Me”). The last one is based on poems by the poet Andrei Voznesensky. “This is my debt to him,” the Prima Donna became sad.

The rehearsal of this song in Alla’s old apartment on Tverskaya remained in the singer’s amateur newsreels and was even once shown on TV, but she never performed it publicly - not only because of “carelessness,” but also because of past cracks in relationships with Pauls, because of which the maestro gave the “right of the first night” to the then young and beginning Valentina Legkostupova. Many in those days did not understand why Alla was so obsessed with the young “raspberry”, but now much is becoming clear...

However, in Valentina’s performance even hints of the power and passion that were obvious even in Alla’s amateur rehearsal filming disappeared, and they didn’t even remember the song. Now Pauls’s aching music, the pathetic text about “the land, piercingly loved” and the heartbreaking prophecy of the Living Legend “for you I will not die, I will become a handful of earth” drove the audience into a stupor, from which they had to get out only with the help of a million scarlet roses.

And not only in the figurative and song sense, but also in the literal physical sense - in the finale the entire stage was filled with huge baskets with huge purple roses. They were transported by trucks into the hall all day, all the passages and passages were blocked. “There are, of course, not a million roses here, but everything is for you! From us, dear Raymond!” said Alla, modestly concealing the breadth of her nature from the audience, for the phrase “from us” was in fact only a figure of speech. Pugacheva, although she was a guest diva at the maestro’s evening, could not, of course, let everything take its course, “turned on” her own direction, and bought fifteen hundred thousand (!) with her own money, plus, of course, one rose, so that the holiday would have an unforgettable ending .

“The concert has come to an end, but this man’s work cannot come to an end!” - the prima donna was right loud ovation viewers, and Alla had no choice but to optimistically promise new meeting“Thirty years from now”...
