The fight in the finals was serious. Every couple who passed in final stage, had their advantages. The clear favorites in the points race were Evgeniya Kregzhde And Povilas Vanagas, it was they who received the highest marks of 12.0 for previous programs and remained in the lead until the 9th stage, the same one where Evgenia unfortunately fell in the last few seconds of the performance... Second place was shared by Navka with Burkovsky and Kregzhde with Vanagas, and third place went to Trankov and Karaulova.

And here's what's interesting. Sasha and Adeline actually had the most difficult time in the project, because Sotnikova is an Olympic champion in single skating, she, unlike other pros of the show, had to not only teach, but also learn.

“I didn’t expect that we would be the first, we just did our job and that’s it. I still can’t believe I was in first place with my partner today! I also had to overcome myself, learn how to do lifts, I’m not a guy. The body then hurt every day, the muscles were not used to such a load,” Adelina told Woman’s Day.

“We were the only couple in which both participants did not know how to do lifts, we taught them on the floor. It wasn’t easy, but we did it, didn’t fail a single element, didn’t fall even once, and are incredibly happy. I didn't think it was so complicated. I would say that pairs figure skating is like CrossFit on ice with a barbell. During the four months of filming, I lost about five kilograms. The actor simply loves the Ice Age project and has been watching it since the very first season. In “Molodezhka” the actor was already on skates, but hockey and figure skates are simply heaven and earth. When, after a month and a half of training on figure skates, the actor came to the set of “Molodezhka” and went on the ice, he realized that he could no longer stand on hockey skates, and even fell several times.

Alexey realized that these two sports were simply impossible to combine and decided not to play hockey until the end of the Ice Age. So now he only does figure skating and nothing else. Colleagues from Molodezhka laugh at him, because he turned from a hockey player into a figure skater.

The actor tries to immerse himself as much as possible in any of his passions in life, which is what he did with hockey. He began to read, watch and study a lot about hockey. The same thing happened with figure skating. According to Sokolovsky, he absolutely loves to dance, but has never done it on professional level. A glacier show gave him this opportunity. He couldn’t even think that he would like figure skating so much.


Now Sokolovsky has no idea what he will do in December, when the Ice Age ends. In fact, the actor believes that he and Adeline Sotnikova are great, they have already begun to do what previously seemed simply impossible. Adeline trusts her partner, although he, like her, has never given support before in his life.
