Restaurant "Assembly"
To hold a large corporate event or wedding at the Okhtinskaya Hotel, the Assembly restaurant would be the ideal place for this event. We will help you create a festive decoration taking into account your wishes, and also provide musical accompaniment. The restaurant windows offer a magnificent panoramic view of the Neva and Smolny Cathedral. And thanks to its location on the ground floor, it has a separate exit to the embankment.

  • "Okhtinsky"- a spacious restaurant, exclusively light colors predominate. The room is really spacious - a fairly large wedding event can be held here;
  • "Malookhtinsky"- lilac shades ideally complement the light tones prevailing here. The room is small, ideal for modest events - newlyweds often want to spend such a day in the company of their closest people;
  • "Béchamel"- the design looks incredibly elegant and modern. The combination of black and white is an ideal choice for modern people.

We celebrated our wedding on October 10 at Bechamel. Everyone - me, my husband, and the guests - were completely delighted with the cuisine, the service, and the interior.
At our wedding, a lot went wrong in the morning (the weather, the florists let me down with the bouquet), and the restaurant is the only place where I finally completely relaxed and calmed down during the whole day, because everything was done PERFECTLY.
Even on my first visit to Okhtinskaya, when I was just looking for a banquet hall, I immediately met the wonderful banquet manager Ekaterina. Katyusha is a delight, very attentive and caring, throughout the month and a half of preparations and discussions I had the complete feeling that everything in this establishment was being done for me and for my sake, as long as I was satisfied. Brides know how much they have to keep in mind when preparing for a wedding, so they will understand how important it is when you can completely rely on professionals for something. And here, at Okhtinskaya, you can really be sure of everything! The entire staff here is wonderful, starting from Ekaterina, as the “conductor” of all preparations for the celebration, ending with the cooks, pastry chef, waiters and everyone else.
Okhtinskaya has several banquet halls; we only needed one for 11-12 people. I was considering Bechamel (beautiful white and black interior, forged elements, which I absolutely adore, and due to the white background they do not “weight” the space; in general, everything looks light and stylish). Bechamel is suitable for 30-40 people, according to my feelings. You can do less - then there will be space. That's what I wanted. Katya also suggested to us the "Maly Okhtinsky" hall - it is about 20-25 people, decorated in white and lilac tones, very nice, although simple (compared to Bechamel). But its windows overlook the panorama of the Neva, Bolsheokhtinsky Bridge and the temple. Crazy beauty! And if someone orders hall decorations for a wedding (balloons, ribbons or something else), then Maly Okhtinsky is generally ideal. It is like a “blank slate”; you can create any decor on it without overloading the decor. Bechamel is very clearly thought out and designed on its own, so it’s unnecessary to shove any other decorations there, in my opinion (but this is my personal opinion - against the backdrop of my crazy love for the style in which Bechamel is made on its own, without any additions). We weren't supposed to have decorations, that's why I wanted Bechamel. But if I was going to decorate the hall, then Maly Okhtinsky would definitely be more suitable.
Ekaterina gave me menu options, a “banquet designer”, explained the composition of all dishes, in general, advised me on all the little things, including quantity. Heeding the groom's requests, I ordered more than Katya recommended - in the end everyone overeated, but still couldn't eat everything they ordered. :)) Conclusion: listen to the words of the banquet manager, she won't say it in vain!
The food is incredibly delicious. The guests then remembered our banquet for a long time, and they remembered a lot of dishes - that is, they liked everything so much that people could not even determine what they liked more: they named different dishes. I was impressed by absolutely everything - delicious salads, julienne, and delicious pancakes with home-smoked trout. The fish (“Duet of Salmon and Telapia”) simply melts in your mouth. And the “Bavarian” pork steak, marinated in red wine, is so tender and aromatic - you can feel that it was marinated for a long time and with high quality! I don’t really like pork, but I ate this with great pleasure. In general, the cooks at Okhtinskaya are magicians. The kitchen is great. Everything is so delicious and I so want to eat more and more that I don’t understand how I didn’t burst while the banquet lasted) Apparently, the corset saved me))
A separate topic - CAKE! Designer cake from pastry chef Tatyana Okhtinskaya, any design and filling. I drew the sketch of the cake myself (mastic two-tiered) on paper, and we made it exactly according to my drawing. I didn't even expect the repetition to be so accurate. I'll try to attach a photo to the review - I hope it works. At my request, Tatyana made us figures of two bear cubs from mastic - the bride and the groom! The mastic is very sweet, and the cake itself with yogurt cream, cream and fruit in the layer was moderately sweet, the fruit gave a slight sourness - it was a great play of flavors. We devoured the cake in 2 days.
We ordered alcohol and juices at a wholesale price from the supplier of the restaurant itself: we don’t have a car, and lugging the same boxes of juice to the restaurant on the eve of the wedding by public transport is a dubious pleasure.
I announced the banquet for 17-17:30, but due to rain on the wedding day, we arrived at the restaurant at 16:30. Everything was covered for us very quickly, while we went to the observation deck of the hotel on the 13th floor and admired the panorama of the city from above - we returned, and everything was ready, we could take our seats!
And the background music was also selected and played for us by the restaurant. Everything is very on topic, and special thanks for the music, since I myself did not have the energy and time to select it and prepare the disc.
Special compliments to the service. Since there were few of us, we were served by one waiter - Vladimir, if I'm not mistaken. His work was as magnificent as everything else in Okhtinskaya: he was completely invisible, extremely delicate, but at the same time he was always there as soon as he was needed, answered all questions and instantly responded to all requests. Absolute professionalism. I don’t know where they teach this, but it seems that Vladimir graduated from some kind of higher school of service excellence. We all felt incredibly comfortable with him.
At the end of the banquet, everything was packed for us (!!! absolutely! except for the salads from the table, which I simply refused to pack myself, because I have nowhere to store it all) in special boxes and bags (the hotel provided the packaging itself). We collected the cold cuts from the tables. In general, everything that could be packed was given to us. The unfinished alcohol was also capped and loaded onto us.
To summarize - a beautiful interior, excellent cuisine, a wonderful designer cake, top-notch service - in general, the restaurant of the Okhtinskaya Hotel is that part of the wedding where I was finally completely relaxed and happy, because everything was going as it should, and even better. And our guests still remember with admiration the banquet at Bechamel. My fiance did not participate in choosing a restaurant, so to speak, he “used what was ready” and was also delighted - he said that to celebrate some anniversaries or something like that, we would only come here and nowhere else.
