There are, undoubtedly, traits of tragedy in the image of Oblomov. The fact is that Oblomov is a man of amazing spiritual purity, sensitive to beauty, incapable of falsehood. This is how he appears, for example, in his relationship with Olga Ilyinskaya.
The whole story of Oblomov’s love for Olga is self-sacrifice. He is truly in love with her, and breaking up with her is his greatest shock, and then his most painful memory. And, nevertheless, he is happy when he finds out that Olga did not die, that her fate was arranged. This woman became a second Oblomovka for him, in which it was cozy, comfortable and warm. He understood perfectly well that his life was aimless and boring. He was even to some extent ashamed of his carelessness and worthlessness, but he could not change anything.

On the one hand, it seems that Olga spent several months with Oblomov in vain.
