How to draw a vase with a pencil step by step for beginners?

Drawing

  1. You need to start by marking the future drawing using vertical and horizontal lines. The vertical line is needed to determine the height and symmetry of the vase. The horizontal lines will define the top and bottom of the vase, as well as the extension on it.
  2. Next, draw the contours of the vase using straight lines.
When drawing lines, the pencil does not need to be pressed; these are temporary lines that will then be erased.
  3. The contours will serve as limiters, within which the vase is given the desired shape using smooth lines. The convexity of the vase will be given by curved smooth lines extending beyond the contour.
  4. Now you need to pay attention to the bottom and neck of the vase. You need to draw the neck and bottom with smooth lines that also go beyond the contours.

Overlaying shadow

So that the drawing has volumetric view you need to apply a shadow, that is, shade with a pencil those places that are far from the light. The more part of the vase is removed from the light, the thicker the shading of the design should be.
For beginners, you can take a vase or other vessel as a model and see how the shadow from a light source falls on it.

  • draw ovals for the bottom and neck of the vase
  • adjust the symmetry of the lines on both sides of the vase relative to the axis
  • darken the darkened areas with shading or a thicker layer of paint and leave the areas where the light falls lighter

How to draw a bowl of fruit?

First of all, you need to think about what shape the fruit bowl can be. It can be either a simple, semicircular shape, or a vase on a leg.

  1. In any case, first you need to draw a semicircle going down from the straight line of the horizontal axis of the future vase.
  2. Then, below the straight line, draw a concave line to represent the top of the vase.
  3. At the bottom of the vase you need to draw something like a bottom, even if you are supposed to draw it on the leg. The vase should be stable, with the center of gravity in the middle.
Fruit bowl in pencil: step 1. Fruit bowl in pencil: step 2. Fruit bowl in pencil: step 3.

Now you can start sketching the fruit. As a rule, those of them that are placed in a vase have:

  • round shape (apples, oranges, grapes)
  • elongated (bananas)
  • or diamond-shaped (plums)

It is advisable to think about the arrangement of fruits in the vase so that they do not hang from its edges, perhaps so that they are located as fruits of the same variety in one place, or all the fruits interspersed.
When drawing fruit in a vase, you should take into account that only part of the fruit should be visible, since the other part may be in a recess in the vase.

Master class on unconventional technology drawing. "Poke" method

Author: Lilia Vasilievna Ryashentseva, teacher of group 3 of the Zavoronezh Orphanage, Tambov region, Michurinsky district.
The master class is intended for educators, middle-aged and older students.
Target: introduce unconventional artistic technique drawing with unusual materials using the “poke method”.
Tasks:
1. Teach students to create their own patterns based on acquired knowledge and develop creative personalities.
2. Develop attention, thinking, sense of harmony and balance.
3. Foster a desire for creative exploration.
This drawing method is very interesting. As a rule, children enjoy participating in the drawing process. I started getting interested in painting 5 years ago. I was not familiar with this technique before, I just happened to have an old, broken brush at hand one day. I trimmed it and noticed that it turned out beautiful patterns. The background for landscapes looks especially beautiful.
These are my last works

For work we will need: gouache, medium-sized jar of water, sheet of paper, scissors.

Since Spring and March 8th are coming soon according to the calendar, we will draw spring flowers - crocuses and snowdrops.
Stage 1 of work: cut the brush as shown in the photo.

Stage 2: place the brush directly, dip it in gouache and make pokes on the paper. We rarely use water. We start with lighter tones. Photo No. 6

Stage 3: add to yellow color blue red. We apply pokes over the entire surface of the sheet. Photo#7

Stage 4: fill with white paint those places that look empty, or where there is too much paint. Make sure the background becomes uniform.

Stage 5: after constructing the cut-off pattern (wait 10-15 minutes to dry completely), you can begin detailed work. This will require new paints and brushes.

While I was drawing, a simple poem was born in my head.
Drawing is not difficult at all!
You can learn anything!
Here is a leaf, and here is gouache,
Brush, water and pencil.
We only have a little left -
Write flowers in a vase!
So, as Mother's Day is coming soon,
I will give a master class for them.
I draw a YELLOW dot,
I will connect BLUE - WHITE.
I'll put the RED one next to it,
I find the background beautiful!
Only flowers remain.
Make them whatever you want!
I like the crocus color,
The cutest primrose!
The snow will barely melt and focus -
A crocus crawled out from under the snow!
And a snowdrop paired with him,
The tenderness is undeniable.
Blue flower and lilac,
In the middle - white, new.
They are full of colors,
Their outfit is very bright!
Let's paint the vase colorfully,
Let's write down the fallen petals.
Here the picture is ready.
And there’s a new plot in my head!
Stage 6: draw a vase by dipping the brush in water and whitewash. Since there is already a layer of paint under the vase, the vase will already be opaque.

Stage 7: scatter snowdrop leaves over the entire sheet.

Stage 8: Apply crocus petals with a wide brush.

Stage 9: Apply white to the petals to tint them a little.

Stage 10: draw snowdrops. There are many of them, so there is no need to draw them out exactly. Everyone understands what kind of flowers these are.

Stage 11: add some white flowers for contrast, add yellow to the petals.

Stage 12: cover the petals with lighter paint.

Everything worked out, the picture is ready!

And these are the works of my students, who took 1st place in various competitions.
