5. BTS learned the basics of hip-hop

Hip-hop has played an important role in the Korean music industry since the 90s. Like a young group BTS weren't the forerunners of Korean hip-hop, but they made significant contributions to its wider acceptance (two of the members Suga And Rap Monster They even performed on the underground stage). Following their debut, the group was criticized for cultural appropriation and inauthenticity. Apparently, that’s why it was decided to familiarize them more closely with hip-hop culture: they were sent to the USA for a short course in the history of hip-hop. The guys were helped by such masters as Coolio and Warran G, with whom they later Rap Monster even recorded a joint track (“PDD”).

6. Rap Monster And Suga not just K-pop singers.

Typical K-pop is characterized by not saying much in its music. Although for Lately many changes have occurred, and many artists began to express themselves in creating music, BTS They clearly made it clear to everyone that they were “not playing with toys” here. As a boy band, they certainly didn't pioneer hip-hop, but they did break through the genre, making it more accessible and accessible to audiences (Several members even performed in underground hip-hop scenes before debuting). After beginning their careers by attempting to imitate the hip-hop swag they were accustomed to, they were criticized for being inappropriate to cultural genres. 6. Rap Monster And Suga not ordinary K-POP performers.

K-POP characterized as a pop genre created by companies whose members have little input into the creation of their music.
