Eurovision winners by year. How the most famous song contest in Europe has changed: all the winners and the history of the creation of Eurovision, countries, winners by year

Eurovision is a competition known throughout the world. It is the brightest event in the spring. Participating countries begin preparing for it in advance: some organize competitions among performers within their country, others are guided by the popularity of the artists.

The choice of some participants is sometimes frightening, and sometimes makes them fall into depression, on the eve of, in the opinion of many, the collapse of morality on Earth. For example, in 2014, the list of Eurovision winners was replenished with the name of Conchita Wurst...

Eurovision yesterday, today, tomorrow. Transformation of the competition

In the first year of its existence, Eurovision had a unifying and entertaining character. Tired of wartime, people wanted to take a little break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Now Eurovision is a rather shocking competition, which is often accused of bias, politicization, and sometimes even immorality. However, despite the change in focus, Eurovision is becoming brighter and better quality from year to year. It is important to note that the competition has outgrown the previously designated framework - singing competitions among representatives of the adult contingent. This is evidenced by the list of Eurovision winners throughout history.

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest has been held since 2003. It is analogous to an adult with the only difference: the age limit is up to 15 years. The list of Junior Eurovision winners has already included 12 names. Its main difference from its adult counterpart is the presence of an annually changing slogan (the only year in which it was absent was 2010).

According to Emmilie herself, she started singing before talking. As a child, she successfully performed in the church choir, and at the age of 14 she went on her first tour with the Danish musician Fraser Neil.

Eurovision 2014. Denmark

The 59th Eurovision Song Contest was held in Denmark from May 6 to 10. The symbol of Eurovision 2014 was the blue diamond.

In 2014, the winner of the competition, unexpectedly for everyone - and for himself too - was 25-year-old singer from Austria Thomas Neuwirth, who performed under the stage name Conchita Wurst. In the final, with the song “Rise Like a Phoenix,” she scored 290 points, 52 points ahead of her closest competitor, the duet “The Common Linnets” from the Netherlands, who scored 238 points.

Eurovision 2014 overall turned out to be the strongest in recent years. Over the past 10 years, there has been a lot of criticism of Eurovision, and some countries seemed to deliberately send frankly second-rate artists to the competition.

Thomas Neuwirth - Austrian unconventional singer sexual orientation, who, with the help of his stage image of a bearded woman, fights for tolerance and equality of all people, regardless of their appearance.

This image is three years old; Neuwirth in the form of Wurst - a bearded and stylishly dressed vamp - could have gone to Eurovision 2012, but took second place at the national selection.

The musician himself separates himself and the singer he created - this is, however, what all artists do who work with characters of a different (and also their own) gender. You can remember, for example, Verka Serduchka, who was invented by Andrei Danilko from Ukraine and who in this image recorded albums, starred in films, represented his country at Eurovision 2007 and even took second place there.

Europe's choice can hardly be considered demonstrative - objectively, Conchita Wurst, despite the beard, was the most feminine of the artists participating in this year's competition, and had perhaps the most outstanding vocal abilities in comparison with other competitors.

Eurovision 2015. Austria

The Eurovision 2015 final took place in the Austrian capital Vienna on 23 May.

Based on the results of a 12-point rating scale, the winner of Eurovision 2015 was Måns Zelmerlöw with the song Heroes. He scored 365 points and “broke away” from Russia, which remained in second place.

Måns Zelmerlöw was born on June 13, 1986 in the Swedish city of Lund into a family of doctors. In 2002, Mons took part in the filming of the musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, where he got a small role as one of Joseph's eleven brothers.

At nineteen years old, the young man did not yet have a clear idea of what he would do in the future. At that time, Måns' friend persuaded him to go to Stockholm (Sweden) and audition for the talent show Idol 2005, where he took fifth place, and, to his surprise, Måns Zelmerlöw passed the qualifying round, performing a song by Enrique Iglesias. This was the first time the guy visited the capital of Sweden. The singer failed to win this competition.

The artist’s next dream was a big European tour with his band. To implement it, Mons Zelmerlev took part in qualifying round Eurovision 2015, passed it successfully. True, only the third attempt was successful; before that, the musician failed to pass the casting twice, the last time in 2009. At Eurovision 2015, Mons Zelemerlev performed the song Heroes.

Apart from musical career Mons took part in dubbing cartoons. Yes, in a voice popular singer Lem from Planet 51 spoke, as well as Flynn Rider from the animated tale Tangled.
