Biography, life story of Didyulya

Didulya Valery Mikhailovich - Belarusian musician, composer, virtuoso guitarist, leader of the group "Didyulya" (flamenco, new age, folk, rock, ethnic motifs).

Childhood and youth

Didula was born on January 24, 1969 in the city of Grodno. This Belarusian town is beautiful with its architecture and rich in musical traditions. The borders with Poland and Lithuania are nearby, resulting in great cultural interaction. The city is home to a lot of nationalities: Poles, Jews, Lithuanians, Belarusians, Russians, Ukrainians. The city is interesting, pleasant, and only warm memories remain about it.

Valery's mother gave him his first guitar when he was five years old. The interest in the instrument was unusual, maybe because there was always someone strumming a guitar in the yard, or maybe because I was generally drawn to music. Like every child, Didyulya had all sorts of record players as a child, which also had quite a positive impact. strong influence. With the very first guitar came the first unobtrusive experiments with sound: a sensor was placed on the guitar, homemade amplifiers were turned on, and all sorts of gadgets were made. For Didyulya, a period of guitar courses began: the teacher showed what chords existed, how to play, what manners and playing techniques existed. This was the beginning, the first steps in mastering the guitar.

The desire to experiment with the guitar was unquenchable, the guys attended concerts, watched how they played at weddings, and how all this happened in general - it was exciting and had a serious influence on their interests and ideas. Valery and his friends, who were also interested in the guitar, showed each other new achievements, competed, which naturally pushed them, forced them to work and keep themselves in suspense.

Creative path

Years passed, experiments continued, and the first group appeared. Didula was taken into the vocal-instrumental ensemble "Scarlet Dawns" as the third guitarist. There were many people in the ensemble - an expanded composition, it had its own brass section, keyboard instruments. Concerts were held on collective and state farms, as well as in the city. Nikolai Khitrik, the permanent leader of the ensemble, and work there gave Valery a lot of experience and important performances. In the process, several people filtered out, after which the performances continued at a local cooperative restaurant. It was an amazing school: six hours of play every evening, seven days a week, almost no breaks; played in different ways different music. This could be called the first serious school, where Didyuley acquired basic knowledge and skills of speaking in front of the public. In addition, he earned his first money, which he was very proud of, because making money doing what you love is everyone’s dream.

But the ensemble fell apart, after which Valery Didyulya began a period of work as a sound engineer. He joined the dance ensemble "White Dews" - a very serious, authoritative group in Grodno, which had touring experience and success. Various music was played, sung and danced, mostly folk dances– Polish, Belarusian, Ukrainian, Gypsy. The team was large and diverse, where Didyulya became a sound engineer - an important and responsible job, and at the same time very interesting. Although during the work I had to learn a lot: how to make sound, how different instruments sound, how the public generally accepts this or that act. After all, a sound engineer, sitting in a concert hall, feels like no one else what is happening on stage, what is the reaction of the audience in the hall, which numbers are better received, which ones are worse, how the sound affects the viewer. The subtle psychological moments of the concert are what Didyula managed to learn while working in this group. Huge experience was also gained from communicating with the musicians - they were people who had gone through thick and thin, with a strong academic education, who played folk music like no one else. Didyulya had a very strong influence on the further work of touring activities ensemble, because the tour took place both in his homeland and abroad.

With this group, Didyulya visited Europe for the first time - Spain, Italy, Poland, Switzerland, France, Germany. The diversity of people and traditions of these countries made an indelible impression. Working with this group, Valery went to Spain, where he became acquainted with the flamenco style and the Spanish folk tradition. Although he had previously been interested in and studied their music, delving into it, it was only in Spain that it became clear to him. The ensemble spent quite a lot of time there, acquiring various musical instruments. Also, during his stay in Spain, Didyulya organized street concerts, which gave him a lot of experience and training.

Working in the ensemble, Didulya communicated not only with musicians, but also with dancers and choreographers, this was after all dance ensemble. The first serious composer experiments began there. Having a good technological base in the ensemble, Valery began to record more or less professionally. It was there that his first recordings and first ideas for concerts began to be born. At first there was collaboration with dancers, then we met the wonderful guitarist Vladimir Zakharov, the wonderful dancer and choreographer Dmitry Kurakulov. This is how a dance and music trio and an excellent concert program were created. The period in "Belye Rosy" was a time of ideas, the atmosphere of the team, communication with interesting people, tours.

After some time, Didyulya learned that Belarusian television was holding a competition where interesting young performers of different genres were invited. If you pass qualifying round, great prospects will open up. He decided to try, and, having collected his things and tools with Dima Kurakulov, he went to another city, where the competition was held. Valery and Dima passed the qualifying round, after which they were invited to filming. It was a great inspiration; the preparation for filming was very serious. To his surprise, having played some of the acoustic things he was accustomed to, Didyulya went through the next round and got to the gala concert. It was big victory and success - the dream of a large audience came true. There we met professional directors and editors; they helped, shared their own experience, pointed out what we should strive for and in what direction to work. The talented Belarusian composer Oleg Eliseenkov. His help was simply invaluable, his advice was accurate and useful.

But the scope of a sound engineer is becoming too narrow for Didyulya - he wants to do what he loves - guitar, composition, sound, arrangement, his own original music. And at the invitation of businessman and pianist Igor Bruskin, he moves to Minsk. Bruskin owns a music salon that sells various instruments. Didulya is engaged in consultations and sales there, working with various musical equipment, often travels to Moscow, where, interacting with recording studios, concert halls and others music organizations, where this equipment was supplied, gains useful experience.

Unexpectedly, following the television competition, a small program was organized at the very large festival “Slavic Bazaar”, where all the artists who participated in the television competition were invited. Finally, it became possible to make a more serious statement - the festival was broadcast to all CIS countries, as well as to Poland, the Baltic states and Bulgaria. This gives Didula a great incentive to continue working in the direction in which it was carried out, builds a clear position - studying instrumental music, guitar, guitar aesthetics, and all this under a little influence folk music. Didulya also tried to some extent mix into this electronic music. Visit" Slavic Bazaar"remained a good tradition, even after Didyulya moved to Moscow. This period is characterized by Didyulya working closely with local choreographers, creating unusual and interesting numbers.

But Moscow attracts with its diversity and great prospects. Valery Didyulya warmly says goodbye to Igor Bruskin and moves to Moscow. At first it was very difficult, because the capital is very specific - it has its own customs, principles, traditions. For a newcomer, this is a completely unusual and unfamiliar city, different people. But the goal, stubbornness in achieving it and faith in success greatly helped to overcome difficulties. The Arbat period began - performances on the street, but not by a ragged street artist, but professional musician with good technique and appearance, who played, first of all, for his own pleasure. Here Didyulya met many people, including Sergei Kulishenko, who at that time held a high commercial position. Although Didyulya did not easily get close to strangers, given the difficulties that arose, he had to make a choice: either call someone he met, or leave Moscow.

The first person Valery Didyulya called was Sergei Kulishenko. Sergei wanted to learn to play the guitar, so Didyulya got his first student. Sergei also showed interest in Didyulya’s activities, helped with housing and instruments, paid for the first professional recording at the studio of the wonderful Guitarist May Liana. A high-quality home recording studio determined the direction of Didyulya’s future work. Mei Lian's recording went well - eight compositions were recorded, technically everything was at the highest level, although artistically it was not the same. Didulya very warmly recalled his communication with Mei Lian, a talented guitarist and composer, a good teacher and a respected friend.

Didyulya, together with Sergei, began to develop the issue of creating their own home recording studio and explored the market for musical equipment. A set of equipment was formed and installed in Sergei’s country house. Serious systematic work began in the field of sound, guitar, exercises, classes, and search. Started interesting acquaintance with the performer popular music Arkady. He was an interesting Samara musician, singer, composer; Their joint club performances with Didula began.

Through Arkady, I met Sergei Migachev, a sound producer, arranger, a person who understands music and is familiar with both modern computer and analog technologies. After a year of hard work together under the leadership and help of Sergei Kulishenko, the debut album was recorded and the first video clip “Isadora” was shot. But Didyulya received a refusal from major record companies: they all claimed that instrumental music was not for Russia, that this genre was not interesting. There was no financial opportunity to show their music to a large public, which put Didyulya’s company at a dead end and did not inspire optimism. At one of the club concerts, I met a man who is now quite famous; he became interested in music and performance. He invited Didyula to meet at the office of the Monolit company and talk about cooperation. The company management, having listened to the material, after much deliberation, refused. The interest was inspiring, and Valery Didyulya began to focus on performing in clubs. By performing and analyzing what the audience liked best, Didulya was able to adjust his album and achieved an interesting, unusual sound from his guitar. At one of the regular concerts, Didyula was approached by people who invited him to negotiations with the Global Music company. The company became interested in the project and agreed to cooperate. Didyulya's first contract was signed. But, unfortunately, things did not go any further: for unknown reasons, the company was not active in its work.

Six months of cooperation were not in vain: Valery Didyulya met Timur Salikhov, the director. This man is ideal for his job - professional acumen and subtle diplomacy. The contract with Global Music was terminated. After some time, Didyula received a call from the Russian Studio and offered to place one of the compositions in the collection. In the office where the meeting was scheduled, Didyulya was able to talk with Prigozhin, a young, acumen specialist. He said that he was creating a new company, Knox Music, and he was interested in new projects and would like to collaborate. It didn’t take much thought to answer – Didyulya agreed. The materials were reviewed, the direction of further work was discussed and a contract was signed. Filming of a new video with the participation of the Todes ballet began immediately. A record and design were prepared; advertising began, the debut album was released. Work was started to introduce an unusual genre of instrumental music. Video clips began to be shown on television, and Didyulya also took part in original program“Anthropology”, I managed to perform there, talk, and introduce TV viewers to the record. After this, more serious sales of the album began.

This period of Didyuli’s work is also associated with acquaintance with truly world-famous stars: Placido Domingo,. An idea appears about working together with, the goal is to record several songs, Didulya acts as a composer, arranger and producer. The work is going very successfully in tandem from Sergei Migachev and Didyuli and is developing into a large-scale project. The circle of acquaintances with artists is expanding, young performers, bright and interesting people are being attracted to work. Touring activities are expanding, new cities and clubs are being included. During these tours, new instruments are acquired, as well as experience and ideas, which benefits creativity.

The album "Road to Baghdad" (2002) is born. Complications appear in relations with Prigozhin and his company, Knox Music. At the same time, he became acquainted with and filmed Didyulya in his film “House of Fools”. During the filming, DiDuLya worked with, who also took part in the film. In the film, Didyulya played a guitarist, or, more simply, he played himself.

Soon, pirated copies of discs began to appear - undoubtedly, one of the types of recognition for the artist. At one of the concerts, Didyuli invited him to release an instrumental piece together. Didulya agreed, the idea of the work was born quite quickly, and thus the composition “Satin Shores” was created. In the same vein, collaboration with , a joint composition was born.

The geography of Didyulya's performances expanded and the level became higher. He continued to participate in television programs and various concerts. A period of more serious concert work, and Diduyaya decided to create his own team, his own group. Recruitment has begun: a bass player (Yaroslav Oboldin), a keyboard player (Alexander Leonov), a percussionist (Kirill Rossolimo), and a sound engineer (Boris Solodovnikov) have been invited. The group rehearsed, a program was prepared, consisting partly of new, partly of old music, supplemented with new colors. There was a search for my own style, studio experiments continued.

In 2004, the album "Legend" was released. Two years later " Cave City Inkerman" and "Color Dreams". In 2007, Valery Didulya released the album "Music of an Unmade Movie", in 2010 he presented "Aroma". In 2012, the album "Ornamental" went on sale, in 2013 - the album "Once Upon a Time", in 2017 – album “Aquamarine”.

In 2013, Valery Didyulya and Belarusian singer Max Lawrence applied to participate in the national qualifying round of the Eurovision Song Contest from Belarus. Alas, Didula never managed to get into the competition.

Personal life

For several years, Valery Didyulya was married to Leila Khamrabaeva, a native of Tajikistan. The couple had a son together. In addition, Didula adopted his beloved’s daughter from her first husband.

After the divorce, Valery’s communication with the children came to naught and paternal care was limited only to the payment of alimony. By the way, there is an unpleasant story connected with this. One day, Leila appeared in the studio of the talk show “We Speak and Show” and stated that Valery had not given her a penny for the children for a long time, which is why they had to live in a tiny rented apartment and subsist on bread and water. Didyulya made a refutation and said that there was no debt to ex-wife he doesn't have it. The musician’s words were documented by his lawyer. Valery's friends also came to his defense and even noted that Didyulya would gladly take part in raising Leila's children, but she does not allow him.

Valery Mikhailovich Didyulya is known for his virtuoso guitar playing. Valery created the group “DiDuLya” and tours around the world. Musician Valery Mikhailovich Didyulya was born on January 24, 1969 into a Belarusian family living in Grodno. This glorious city is located on the border with Lithuania and Poland, so their culture had a great influence on the development of the guitarist.

At the age of 5, Didula receives original gift from my mother - my first guitar. This helped him discover his love for music. In the city where the musician lived, teenagers gathered in large noisy groups in the courtyards in the evenings and sang songs with a guitar. Musical records had a great influence on the development of Didyulya’s creativity.

He was bored strumming the guitar, so future star started doing experiments. The guitarist used special sensors, amplifiers that he created himself, and other gadgets to obtain a new sound. Didula in school years I took guitar courses with a teacher. The musician studied chords and guitar playing techniques. Training was the first conscious step on the path to music.

Music

The music captured Didyulya from the first chords. The young guitarist often went to concerts with friends and came up with original melodies. Valery joins the vocal and instrumental ensemble “Scarlet Dawns”. The group performed concerts in front of residents of the city and collective farms. Performances at a cooperative restaurant bring Didyula his first earnings.

The ensemble breaks up, so Valery had to look for a new place of work. He was invited to join the Belye Rosy team as a sound engineer. Didulya admits that this subsequently had a great influence on his work. The guitarist gained an understanding of the psychology and desires of the audience. The artist travels around the world with the ensemble. On tour in Spain, Didula gets acquainted with the flamenco style.

Until this moment, the guitarist was in no hurry to delve into the sound of Spanish music. The team spent a lot of time in Spain. Valery even managed to take part in several impromptu street concerts. Working in the ensemble pushed Didyulya to creative experiments. He had the necessary technical base, which allowed the guitarist to record compositions. Together with dancer and choreographer Dmitry Kurakulov, he goes to conquer television.

The qualifying round was successfully completed. Valery's skill allowed us to move to the next stage and take part in the gala concert. The work of a sound engineer no longer brings pleasure to Didula. At this moment, an invitation comes from pianist Igor Bruskin to move to Minsk. At first, Valery works as a salesman in a music salon, regularly visits Moscow, meets the owners of recording studios, concert halls, and musical organizations.

Didula took part in the Slavic Bazaar festival. The event made him recognizable in the CIS countries, Bulgaria, the Baltic states and Poland. A new stage of life begins for Valery. The musician tries to combine electronic and folk music. Moving to Moscow was difficult for Didyula: he had to quickly get used to local traditions and principles of life. He had serious difficulties. Valery would have had to return home if not for the help of Sergei Kulishenko. He helped the guitarist make a professional recording in the studio. The musician recorded 8 compositions. Soon, together with Sergei Didulya, he created a home recording studio.

Valery meets sound producer Sergei Migachev. Thanks to his influence and help, Valery creates his debut album and shoots the “Isadora” video. Despite this success, major record labels were reluctant to collaborate with the musician. Again and again Didulya worked on the perfect sound of the guitar. Soon he signed a contract with Global Music, but this did not help in promoting the guitarist's career.

Timur Salikhov appears in Valery's life. He still works as the musician's director. The contract with Global Music was terminated and cooperation with Knox Music began. After signing the agreement, Didyulya begins filming a new video with the participation of the Todes ballet. Gradually, the guitarist’s recognition begins to grow, there are more and more tours, new ideas appear, embodied in the album “Road to Baghdad”. Didula collaborates with famous musicians, including. The lyrics to the song were composed by the lead singer of the group “ Deep Purple" In addition to the musicians, there were dancers on stage. Elements of sign language interpretation were included in the choreography.

Despite the fact that the audience chose them, I went to the competition solo artist Theo. The musicians tried to overturn the jury's decision by sending a letter, but all attempts were in vain. Some of Didyulya's works become hits - these are “The Way Home”, “Flight to Mercury”. He actively shoots video clips for songs such as “Cave City Inkerman” and “Arabica”, “Wind in the Steppe”.

The surname Didyulya needs no introduction. The magnificent music of virtuoso guitarist Valery Didyulya is world famous. He is full of energy and pleases everyone with new hits.

Just recently, the debut album of his wife, singer EVgenica, “Optimist,” was released. And she is not only an excellent performer, but also the owner of an amazing figure. We simply could not pass by this couple, and interviewed them! Didula is real name Valery Mikhailovich, originally from Belarusian Grodno. He learned to play the guitar from the age of five, and quickly conquered musical heights. Now musical style there are no boundaries in his performance: ethnic, fusion, oriental, flamenco, rock and much more. His support and support for many years has been his beautiful wife EVgenica, a creative and very bright personality. She has two higher music education(Gnesinka with honors), and a range of 3.5 octaves. She not only sings, but also publishes humorous vines and has long become an Instagram star, and he delights fans with fresh compositions and funny videos, trying himself in a new role. They gave their interview - one of the most famous guitarists Russia Valery Didyulya and his wife EVgenika - singer, actress, designer, model and TV presenter.

- EVgenica, tell us your love story, how you met and decided to start a family?

We met 6 years ago. A friend invited me to a concert by musician Didyulya; we didn’t know him then. And then we met, since this friend was the wife of a video operator who filmed Valery at his concert in the Kremlin. And in general, we met, and everything somehow started spinning like that. And they never parted again.

- What principles do you consider the most important in raising children, since you have a daughter?

We don’t particularly tell anyone about her, we don’t publish or show photographs anywhere. The main thing in education is love! And we instill in her a love of family. And also affection, tenderness and care. My daughter already goes to dances. But she is still so small with us, so that we care for her, cherish her and grow her like a flower.

- Tell us about her, what makes you happy about your baby, and who do you see her in the future?

She happily sings songs, dances and strums her dad's guitars. He is very drawn to creativity. As for her future, we will support any of her endeavors in any case. Now we do not instill anything in her by force or artificially. If a child wants to ride a bike, please, we go for a ride with the whole family. Now she wants to do ballet, we support her in this. We buy tutus and ballet shoes, and she takes up dancing. If tomorrow she decides to lay asphalt, then we will support this endeavor. We simply try to respond to her interests in a timely manner, but in no case do we put pressure on her so as not to receive opposition.

- EVgenica, you and Valery both creative personalities, there are already a lot of collaborations and songs, but how do you complement each other? Do you give advice and make comments? Isn't it difficult to work together as husband and wife?

Not difficult at all! The fact is that we first dated, then got married, then gave birth to a child and were raising our daughter. And only when the child was six months old did my husband find out that I was singing. Because we did not have such a goal - to unite in a creative union, because we built a family for a long time and confidently. And only then we decided that I would sing. This happened when we went to karaoke with friends. Up to this point, I worked for seven years as an art director in karaoke. And then I didn’t go there for quite a long time, because there was a lot of all this at work. And when, after giving birth, being bored, I decided to sing... And then everyone was a little stunned when they found out that I was singing, it turns out! There was just a lot of music in our lives: both at work and with my husband. And until this moment we tried to spend quiet family evenings by the fireplace and nothing more. And then we decided that after all, my place was on stage, and I needed to sing. And, of course, now we complement each other not only in the family, but also creatively. Sometimes Valera can tell me: “Come on, let’s improvise here, I’ll play, and you sing something!” This is how some melody or song is born. Or, when something doesn’t work out for me, I ask him to help. Of course, we are in each other's musically We help a lot. And in the studio we write together: I’m in his albums, he’s in mine.

I honestly admit that even before giving birth I knew a little secret: what if after giving birth you want to quickly come to good shape, then you need to make your waist BEFORE pregnancy. And there were still no hints of marriage, but I was already working every day gym. I did waist exercises with weights, for example, side crunches. And there are many more tricks specifically for strengthening the abdominal and waist muscles. Then I gave birth, and after giving birth I started wearing slimming corsets so that my abdominal muscles would tighten faster and return to their original shape. On the advice of my nutritionist, I did the “vacuum” exercise (retracting the abdominal muscles - editor’s note), drank a glass of water with lemon on an empty stomach in the morning and strengthened my abdominal muscles with this exercise. Due to retraction, the muscles become toned. This also burns internal fat on the organs (visceral fat, which envelops internal organs- editor's note) and external fat layer. I used fractional meals, swimming, and our whole family loves to ride bicycles. I also do exotic dance, which completely tidies up the entire figure from head to toe, the muscles are so tense in this sports form dance. Well, of course, we generally lead active image life, which is important. In the morning I drink a glass of water, do a “vacuum”, and without even having time to have breakfast, I plunge into work until eight in the evening, and only eat fully in the evening. But I always have something healthy and easy to snack on in my bag, like an apple or a granola bar. It’s clear that I don’t eat anything fried or frankly unhealthy. But I really love pizza, I love baked goods, and I also love sweets.

- Valery, how do you manage to stay in shape, since you tour so much? What do you do?

As Zhenya said, an active lifestyle is one of the components of staying in good shape. I am constantly on the move, and I have my own small gymnastics, which Dr. Evdokimenko developed for me and modeled the exercises specifically for me. This is a doctor whom I sincerely trust. A person who helps me in various matters, and to some extent a friend of our family. Great both as a person and as a professional. And, of course, I try to monitor my nutrition as best I can. In any case, my light gymnastics, active lifestyle and positive thinking. These are the components of my physical tone. Although I would like to pay more attention proper nutrition, and I am also moving in this direction.

- EVgenics, you use absolutely different images, then you fatal Beauty, then you are not afraid to be funny, but do you think it is important for a woman to have a sense of humor or is this the prerogative of a man?

I believe that having a sense of humor is important for any person, no matter whether it is a woman or a man. We live in Russia, where people survive with humor. Because everyone can cry and moan, but this will not help you, but humor helps you live, helps you not to lose heart. Rise higher above your problem and immediately find a way out! I have always walked through life with humor and I think that’s why my husband fell in love with me! Because I have the eternal “ha-ha” and “hee-hee”, but always to the point. I can laugh and make fun of myself, thus constantly pushing myself. And this helps me move on, not be discouraged, and find some kind of positive in everything! Humor helps turn any situation in your favor. A sense of humor for a Russian woman is everything!

Even yours new album called “Optimist”, where all the songs are imbued with humor, and it’s on a positive wave! Are you also an optimist in life?

Yes, that is right! We wrote this album very quickly. We took Yulia Solomonova’s poems as a basis and invited her to become a co-author. And it all started with Valera writing a wonderful melody. But he still couldn’t write poetry for her. He asked me to suggest something to him, I suggested putting verses from Solomonova’s work, I simply opened her book and read the first verse at random to music. And it went to bed! And that’s how the song “Optimist” came about. And in life I am an optimist. There is a lot of humor in my life, even if you open my page, you will see that everything there is pestilent. There are lyrics, of course, too, but they are very selective. I walk through life with humor!

I also want to say that humor and an active lifestyle are both in our family and in everyday life. We don't have any nannies or maids. We are completely an ordinary family: husband, wife and daughter. Nobody really helps us. Therefore, if we want cleanliness, then I clean, wash the floors and do the laundry. And then I don’t have time to sit on the sofa and put on fat on my sides. This is probably why the figure is preserved. Because I spin like a top, not only in creativity and work, but also around the house. I cook myself. And Valera is a gourmet. He loves to eat very tasty food. He loves lasagna, real borscht, and pilaf. And I prepare all this for him. Yes, and the child needs care. You need to cook separately for your daughter, wash her clothes, wash and wash her, braid her hair, take her to kindergarten and much more. But while she’s in kindergarten, I can record a new vine, learn poetry, record a song, and then after I pick up the child from kindergarten, I’m an ordinary mother again. I washed my face and went to walk the cat and take out the litter tray with poop. We have an ordinary life. We are not arrogant and do not boast about anything. You just need to take a simpler approach to life, and then life will be easier!

Valery, your creativity is multifaceted and you have extensive and vibrant experience in the field of music and dance projects. In particular with bellydance dancers. With which artist? oriental dance Did you perform particularly well? Will you continue to develop oriental themes in the future?

The art of dance is exciting and interesting. And, of course, we have experience collaborating with dancers. We worked with Aliya for quite a long period, then there was Natalya Ryabchenko. I had an interesting creative period with Karina. Irina Ostroverkhova also worked with us. I also worked with flamenco dancers. As for bellydance - oriental dance, it is very interesting. Contemporary modern choreography is no less interesting. We collaborated with the Todes ballet, and had the opportunity to work with all sorts of different regional groups. I even had the opportunity to collaborate with gymnasts Irina Chashchina. Dance is great and wonderful! Where will my creative projects with dancers and choreographers in the future, I don’t know yet, but in any case I really love dancing. After all, sometimes it’s a sport, and sometimes performance art! In the future, new musical experiments with dance and choreography are possible, but the time just has to come and the stars must align, but I’m not doing anything specifically for this. The music itself will put everything in its place. Certain compositions will attract dancers. And it seems to me that something interesting will definitely come out. In any case, in the “Country of Fools” video, we showed off with pole dancing, inviting wonderful plastic girls who adorned the bright and fast-paced music with their choreography, their movements and plasticity. Dance, movements, beautiful body, sports - all this does not let me go, it has always attracted me, given me musical creativity special cut and I think it will continue to attract attention in the future!

What would you both like to develop in your activities? What other directions? In music, in creativity? Are there any unclimbed peaks?

There are many more such peaks. After all, every day gives us something new, something more interesting. If a person has achieved something, then he sees a new goal and goes towards it. So we do - we seek and find this goal. What happened today is great, but tomorrow it’s different. And every day there is something new, and something new! Life is much more interesting this way, and sometimes you yourself don’t know what new things you’ll come up with. And what awaits you ahead!

- How married couple, what advice could you give to those who want to achieve harmony, peace and harmony in family life?

May you live happily ever after! We decided for ourselves that the most important thing in a family is trust in each other. After all, we often tour: both together and separately. My husband has such a job, says EVgenica, that he doesn’t come home every evening at eight o’clock. And in fact, thank God, otherwise it would be a chore for us! This is our job: we are always on trains, planes, and sometimes we don’t see each other for two weeks. But we know that we live in each other's hearts, in each other's thoughts. And we are constantly in touch, as if we were keeping track of each other’s pulse - on the phone, in messages, exchanging photos and videos, telling how our day went. And this somehow reinforces our feelings, maintains our warmth and our love. We need to miss each other. Believe, trust, love and help! You need to live according to your heart!

Valery DiDuLa Career: Musician
Birth: 20.5.1969
DiDyuLya was born in the city of Grodno.

DiDuLe's mother gave him his first guitar when he was five years old. There was a special interest in the instrument, perhaps because someone was constantly strumming a guitar in the yard, or perhaps because he was generally drawn to music. Like every child, DiDuLi had all sorts of record players as a child, which also had a rather strong impact. With the very first guitar came the first unobtrusive experiments with sound: a sensor was placed on the guitar, homemade amplifiers were turned on, and all sorts of gadgets were made. For DiDuLi, a period of time began with guitar courses: the teacher showed what chords exist, how to play, what habits and playing techniques exist. This was the beginning, the first steps in mastering the guitar.

The desire to experiment with the guitar was unquenchable, the boys attended concerts, watched people play at weddings, and how all this happened in general - it was exciting and had a serious impact on interests and ideas. DiDuLya and his friends, who were also fond of the guitar, showed each other new achievements, competed, which, of course, pushed them, forced them to work hard and keep themselves in suspense. Years passed, experiments continued, and the first group appeared. DiDuLyu was taken into the vocal-instrumental ensemble "Scarlet Dawns" as the third guitarist. The ensemble was like dogs of uncut people - an expanded composition, it had its own brass section, keyboard instruments. Concerts were held on collective and state farms, and also in the city. Nikolai Khitrik, the permanent head of the ensemble, and his service there provided a healthy skill and important performances. In the process of work, a little gentleman filtered out, after which the performances were continued at a local cooperative restaurant. It was an amazing school: six hours of play every sunset of the day, seven days a week, almost no breaks; a variety of music was played. This could be called the first serious school, where DiDuLei received basic knowledge and skills in speaking before the public, in addition, earned his first capital, which he was very proud of, because he received pennies by doing favorite hobby, everyone's dream.

But the ensemble fell apart, after which the sound engineering period of work began for DiDyuLi. He joined the dance ensemble "White Dews" - a very serious, authoritative group in Grodno, which had touring skills and a happy moment. Various music was played, sung and danced, mostly folk dances - Polish, Belarusian, Ukrainian, Gypsy. The team was large and diverse, where DiDuLya became a sound engineer - an important and responsible service, and at the same time very interesting. Although during the work I had to learn a lot: how to make a sound, how different instruments sound, how the public generally accepts this or that act. After all, a sound engineer, sitting in a concert hall, feels like no one else what is happening on stage, what is the reaction of the audience in the hall, which numbers are better received, which ones are worse, how the sound affects the viewer. The subtle psychological moments of the concert are what DiDula managed to learn while working in this group. A huge skill was also gained from communicating with the musicians - they were people who had gone through thick and thin, with a strong academic education, who played folk music like no one else. The ensemble’s touring activities had a very strong influence on DiDyuLi’s further work, for the tour took place both on our territory vast homeland, and abroad.

With this group, DiDuLya visited Europe for the first time - Spain, Italy, Poland, Switzerland, France, Germany. The diversity of people and traditions of these countries created an indelible impression. While working with this group, DiDuLya went to Spain, where he became acquainted with the Flamenco style and the Spanish folk tradition. Although he had previously been interested in and studied their music, delving into it, it was only in Spain that it became clear to him. The ensemble spent quite a lot of time there, acquiring various musical instruments there. Also, during his stay in Spain, DiDuLya organized street concerts, which gave him great skill and training.

While working in the ensemble, DiDuLya communicated not only with musicians, but also with dancers and choreographers, because it was a dance ensemble. The first serious composing experiments began there; having a good technological base in the ensemble, DiDuLya began to contribute more or less professionally. His first recordings and first ideas for concerts began to appear there. First there was collaboration with dancers, then we met the wonderful guitarist Vladimir Zakharov, the wonderful dancer and choreographer Dmitry Kurakulov. This is how a dance and music trio and an excellent concert program were created. The period in “Belye Rosy” was a time of ideas, the atmosphere of the team, communication with interesting people, and tours greatly influenced it.

After some time, DiDuLya learned that Belarusian television was holding a competition where interesting young performers of different genres were invited. If you overcome the qualifying round, great prospects will open up. He decided to test it, and, having collected things and tools with Dima Kurakulov, he went to another town, where the competition was held. DiDyuLya and Dima passed the qualifying round, after which they were invited to filming. It was a great inspiration; the preparation for filming was very serious. To his surprise, having played some of the acoustic things he was accustomed to, DiDuLya went through the next tour and got to the gala concert. It was a huge victory and success - the dream of a healthy audience came true. There we also met professional directors and editors; they helped, shared their own experience, pointed out what we should strive for and in what direction to act. The gifted Belarusian composer Oleg Eliseenkov played an important role in promoting DiDuLi at the competition. His assistance was simply invaluable, his advice was accurate and useful.

But the scope of a sound engineer is becoming too narrow for DiDyuLi - I want to do what I love - guitar, composition, sound, arrangement, my own original music. And at the invitation of businessman and pianist Igor Bruskin, he moves to Minsk. Bruskin owns a music salon that sells various instruments. DiDuLya is engaged in consultations and sales there, working with various musical equipment, and often travels to Moscow, where, interacting with recording studios, concert halls and other musical organizations where this equipment was supplied, she acquires the necessary skills.

In friendship, following the television competition, a mini program was organized at the very large festival “Slavic Bazaar”, where all the artists participating in the television competition were invited. Finally, it became possible to communicate more seriously about ourselves - the festival was broadcast to all CIS countries, and also to Poland, the Baltic states and Bulgaria. This gives DiDula a healthy incentive to continue working in the direction in which it was carried out, builds a clear position - it’s about instrumental music, guitar, guitar aesthetics, and all this under the slight influence of folk music. DiDuLya also tried to mix electronic music into this to some extent. Visiting the Slavic Bazaar remained a good tradition, moreover, after DiDuLya moved to Moscow. This period of time is typical for DiDyuLi working closely with local choreographers, creating unusual and interesting numbers.

But Moscow attracts with its diversity and great prospects. DiDyuLya warmly says goodbye to Igor Bruskin and moves to Moscow. At first it was extremely difficult - because the capital is terribly specific - it has its own customs, principles, traditions. For a visiting person, this is a completely special and unknown city, different people. But the target, stubbornness in achieving it and faith in luck extremely helped to overcome difficulties. The Arbat period of time began - performances on the street, but not of a ragged street artist, but of a professional musician with good technique and appearance, one who played, first of all, for his own pleasure. Here DiDuLya met many people, including Sergei Kulishenko, who at that time held a high commercial position. Although DiDuLya was not very difficult to get close to strangers, but against the backdrop of the difficulties that arose, he had to make a choice: either call someone from those he had met, or leave Moscow.

The first person DiDuLa called was Sergei Kulishenko. Sergei wanted to learn how to play the guitar, so DiDuLi got him elementary student. Sergei also showed interest in DiDyuLi’s activities, helped with housing and instruments, and paid for the first professional recording at the studio of the wonderful guitarist Mei Lian. A high-quality home recording studio determined the direction of DiDuLi’s further work. Mei Lian's recording went excellently - eight compositions were recorded, technically everything was at the highest level, although artistically it was not the same. DiDuLya remembers very fondly her communication with Mei Lian, a talented guitarist and composer, a good teacher and a respected friend. DiDuLya, together with Sergei, began to develop a questioning motive for creating their own home recording studio, and explored the market for musical equipment. A set of equipment was formed and installed in Sergei’s country house. A serious, systematic service began in the field of sound, guitar, exercises, classes, and search. An interesting acquaintance began with the popular music group Arkady. He was a fascinating Samara musician, singer, composer; Their joint club performances with DiDyuLei began.

Through Arkady, I met Sergei Migachev - a sound producer, arranger, a person who understands music, familiar with both modern computer and analog technologies. After a year of diligent collaboration under the leadership and help of Sergei Kulishenko, the debut album was recorded and the major video clip “Isadora” was shot. But DiDuLu was rejected by major record companies: they all argued that instrumental music was not for Russia, that very genre was not interesting. There were no financial opportunities to show a healthy public their music, which put the DiDuLi company at a dead end and did not inspire optimism. At one of the club concerts I met Sergei Baldin, a man who is quite famous today; he was interested in music and performance. He invited DiDuLe to meet at the office of the Monolit company, where they could talk about cooperation. The company's management, after listening to the material, then refused after much thought. Sergei Baldin's interest was inspiring, and DiDyuLa began to focus on performing in clubs. By performing and analyzing what the audience liked best, DiDuLya was able to adjust his album and achieved an interesting, unusual sound from his guitar. At one of the next concerts, DiDula was approached by people who invited him to negotiations with the Global Music company. The company became interested in the project and agreed to cooperate. DiDuLi's primary contract was signed. But, unfortunately, the lesson did not go any further: for unknown reasons, the group did not show activity in the work.

Six months of cooperation were not in vain: DiDuLya met Timur Salikhov, the director with whom he currently works. This man is ideal for his job - professional acumen and subtle diplomacy. The contract with Global Music was terminated. After some time, DiDuLe received a call from the Russian Studio and offered to place one of the compositions in the collection. In the office where the summit was scheduled, DiDuLya was able to talk with Prigozhin, a young, sharp specialist. He said that he was creating a new company, Knox Music, and he was interested in new projects and would like to collaborate. It didn’t take much thought to answer - DiDuLya agreed. The materials were reviewed, the direction of further work was discussed and the contract was signed. Filming of a new video with the participation of Alla Dukhova's ballet "Todes" began immediately. A record and design were prepared; advertising began, the debut album was released. A service was established to introduce an unusual genre of instrumental music. Video clips began to appear on television, in addition, DiDuLya took part in Dmitry Dibrov’s original program “Anthropology”, where he managed to identify himself, talk, and introduce viewers to the record. After this, more serious sales of the album began.

This period of DiDuLi’s work is also associated with acquaintance with stars of truly important magnitude: Placido Domingo, Bryan Adams. The idea of working together with Abraham Russo appears, the goal is to write a few songs, DiDuLya acts as a composer, arranger and producer. The work is going terribly well in tandem from Sergei Migachev, Abraham Russo and DiDyuLi, resulting in a large-scale plan. The circle of acquaintances with artists is expanding, young performers, bright and interesting people are being attracted to work. The touring activities are expanding, new cities and clubs are being included. During these tours, new instruments are acquired, as well as skills and ideas, which benefits creativity.

The album "Road to Baghdad" is born. Complications appear in relations with Prigozhin and his company, Knox Music. At the same time, he met Andrei Konchalovsky and filmed DiDyuLi in his film “House of Fools.” During filming, DiDuLya worked with Bryan Adams, who was still taking part in the film. In the film, DiDuLya played a guitarist, or, to put it simply, he played himself. Pirated copies of discs began to appear - of course, the only type of recognition for an artist. At one of DiDyuLi’s concerts, Dmitry Malikov invited him to jointly release an instrumental piece. DiDuLya agreed, the idea for the work was born quite quickly, and thus the composition “Satin Shores” was created. The collaboration with Kristina Orbakaite proceeded in the same vein, and a joint composition was born.

The geography of DiDuLi's performances is expanding, the order is becoming higher. He continues to participate in television programs and various concerts. There comes a period of time for more serious concert work and DiDuLya decides to form her own team, her own group. The set begins: a bass player (Yaroslav Oboldin), a keyboard player (Alexander Leonov), a percussionist (Kirill Rossolimo), and a sound engineer (Boris Solodovnikov) have been invited. The group is rehearsing, a program is being prepared, consisting partly of new, partly of old music, supplemented with new colors. We are searching for our own style and continuing our studio experiments.

After the concert in Odessa, we had time to talk with an extraordinary Belarusian artist - Valery Didyulya. Once again he confirmed that Odessa residents are spoiled spectators, but also noted that we have the most beautiful girls and invited me to visit a Moscow store of the 21st century. We also learned that the performer does not allow anyone into his personal life and encourages him to buy guitars for his children.

Weekend.od.ua: Valery, what are your impressions of the Odessa public? Didula: Of course I like it. The viewer is musical, spoiled by concerts, different artists, and definitely stars. There’s also a lot going on here in the summer, because it’s a beach area, a good resort town, and in the winter and other off-seasons. The city is spoiled by concerts, so it took us a long time to get to Odessa, gradually, little by little. At first she tried us out, in my opinion, back in 2003 or 2004, but then we already got a taste and enjoyed the Odessa residents, and I hope they like us. From year to year we come with big, good concerts and in the fall or spring and summer we come to Arcadia, delighting the wonderful residents and guests of this city with our performances. So the friendship took place.

Weekend.od.ua: What do you like about Odessa itself? Didula: Of course, I like the sea. I miss it a little in Moscow; in the summer I like the airy, carefree atmosphere, beautiful girls in Odessa. Here I am looking at you, and there is confirmation of this - your eyes are so playful, beautiful, such a slender red-haired beast in in a good way this word. All this catches your eye, namely beauty and cheerfulness, but at the same time the city is experienced, it has everything: wealthy people, creative potential, selective spectators. It is possible to carry out good concerts, light, sound, and in general the ambiance of the city is bright and you know Odessa has a great future, because it is a port and Cultural Center. A lot came out of this interesting artists. In short, he said a lot of good things.

Weekend.od.ua: You have a large group of musicians, do improvisations often happen at concerts? Didyulya: Of course, there is a lot of improvisation. In a live, high-energy concert, so cheerful and percussive, it’s not even a concert anymore, it’s more like they came to play, and then the audience turned up. In fact, there is a very light atmosphere, everything is very easy on the surface, but inside there is very well-coordinated work, a lot of work, sweat, effort, rehearsals, touring experience is behind it. The apotheosis of all this is the concert, but we definitely get pleasure, of course, a lot of improvisation and polished, which are orchestrated to the microsecond and a lot of light and free, sudden, unexpected. This is an absolutely live action, no conventions, only open creativity.

Weekend.od.ua: Has your first guitar survived? Didyulya: Of course, in the city of Grodno, in my apartment, which we did not sell. She stayed there, sometimes she waits for me there when I come to travel around Belarus, I stay in my hometown and there, in one of the rooms, is my old Cremona guitar. Standing there, of course, it broke - it did not stand the test of time. In any case, this tool is there, I take care of it.

Weekend.od.ua: How do you rest and relax? Didyulya: Nature, communication, a little sports, cycling, swimming, I like to drive, walks. Even today we came to the sea, ate there, admired the sea, went to the beach, and there were already people sunbathing, the traffic was so summer. I don’t need a lot to be happy; I find something unique in little things – it saves me. A child's view of life sometimes makes it possible to be inspired, rest, recover, change your mood and go on stage again and again.

Weekend.od.ua: Where do you get your creative energy? Didula: It could be a journey, people, situations, a beautiful melody, a good deed, a hug, maybe a look, an anecdote or, on the contrary, negative, but it will change something in yourself and you get a creative revelation. Therefore, my whole life inspires me, and is the most important inspiring factor. Of course, there is also music, there are also things that are beyond words, that are difficult to talk about. All the same, the life around us turns into music and, probably, that’s why the viewer wants to hear it, comes to the concert, buys tickets and that evening people come and spend two and a half hours of their life time trying to touch creativity, where there is no a single word, but there is a lot of emotion, energy, message, melodies, music, and most importantly there is pure frank live game. It costs a lot.

Weekend.od.ua: You have been on stage for more than ten years. In your opinion, what is the secret of such success? Didula: Alive, fair game. In general, the concept of success is vague for me, it is not clear to me. We were born, we have a guitar, we have the opportunity to write and compose music - this is already success. If there is a public resonance, and in different cities, the audience comes to the countries, this is what I expected twenty years ago. There is also an idea for the future, this is normal, expected, and I am very calm about this, both ovations and failures, setbacks - everything should happen. In fact, nothing changes - the same music, melodies, guitar, and the same desire to create an interesting and musical mood around yourself. This desire is in me and to this day I go on stage with it.

Weekend.od.ua: With such creative energy, do you have time for your personal life? Didyulya: Personal life is such a territory, such an island or island, into which I do not allow anyone. Of course, time remains. Personal territory requires very reverent, careful, careful attitude to yourself, but there must be a personal life. I say this to my musicians and colleagues, but I am a workaholic, I devote a lot of energy to my work, but of course there is personal space, time, there is a disconnect from music. I say: “I’ve flown away, I’ve left, I’ll be gone for a month,” and everyone knows that Didyulya won’t be there, he decided to relax with someone or alone. This also happens sometimes.

Weekend.od.ua: You have rather unusual platform shoes, is this a stage look or everyday shoes? Didyulya: I’m not tall, so the platform is no, it’s not a complex. I got rid of them many years ago, when the first albums appeared, small movements, more intense, and the complexes evaporated, I stopped paying attention to them. In fact, I am very unusual, both the music, the shoes, the costumes, the movements, the gait, the plasticity, that is, the sound production. I read that they write in the press that this detachment is evidence that I am stoned, sniffed, but in fact I am passionate about music. I live very freely, I can allow myself fantasies, whims, and emotions. Although I came to all this only after a while. By the way, if you like these shoes, come to Moscow, I’ll give you a tour of the 21st century store – that’s what it’s called! There are a lot of interesting things there, not just similar shoes!

Weekend.od.ua: What do you wish to our readers? Didula: I wish you good music, buy guitars for your children, let them play, go to music schools, touch the great and beautiful musical culture. Let them come to our concerts, Didula will be glad to see everyone. See you in the summer, during good weather, when there is beach season and the sea is warm. We will come and delight Odessa residents with good music on such a nice summer evening.
