Hrithik Roshan: personal life, wife, children, family. Full biography of Hrithik Roshan

Today he is one of the most famous and sought-after actors in Bollywood. Hrithik's parents are also actors - Pinky and Rakesh Roshan. Rakesh also later became a producer and director. His uncle is famous composer Rajesh Roshan. Hrithik is married to Sussanne Khan, daughter of Sanjay Khan. They have two sons - Rehan (born March 28, 2006) and Hridhaan (born May 1, 2008).

Born into an actor's family, Hrithik always knew that he would definitely be involved in cinema. The only question was which one. IN childhood Hrithik appeared in several very small cameo roles. Hrithik's first film role was at the age of six in the film Aasha (1980), in which he played the role of a dancing boy. Then he starred in two more films of his father in 1980 and 1986.

Hrithik graduated from college (Sydneham College) with his longtime friend Uday Chopra and received a bachelor's degree. While Roshan's mom and dad dreamed that their son would go to graduate school abroad, Hrithik had completely different plans. Cinema attracted him. In secret from his parents, he enrolled in acting classes with Kishore Namit Kapoor and told his parents about it only a few months later.

Wanting to get to know the world of cinematography from the inside, Hrithik began working with his father. He worked as the third assistant to his father, the director, on the film crew, where he was not given any concessions. Hrithik ate, slept and led a grueling lifestyle, the same as any junior on location would lead. He traveled in second class, slept in cheap hotels, ate the same as other members of the group, and always tried to do his job well. But he privately hoped, he admitted, that all this experience would help him become stronger and more resilient to the harsh reality of the world of the film industry.

In 2001-2003, Hrithik played in several films at once, filming them simultaneously. Unfortunately, none of the films were successful either in India or abroad. No matter what films he has acted in, no film maker has been able to replicate the amazing success that Hrithik's father did. Barring a big hit like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, all his other films remained lukewarm at the box office. It's a pity that after such a strong start, when he needed at least one more hit, failure followed him. The actor, who from his first film made people believe in his talent, suddenly showed that the fast horse had stopped. And now the producers’ faith in him has noticeably diminished.

One person from the film industry remarked, "Why doesn't anyone see the fact that films are not made by Hrithik alone? The film for the most part depends on the director!" And no matter how many failures Hrithik has, somehow it is Hrithik who gets blamed!

There has been talk in the film industry that, apart from his father's film, Hrithik has not given a single hit. Before inviting him to big projects, distributors had to think 100 times. Hrithik entered a crisis period in his life and career. At this time, an attempt is also made on his father, Rakesh. As a result, Hrithik's conflict with the Bollywood film industry intensified.

In 2004, Hrithik took part in Farhan Akhtar's drama Lakshya starring. Hrithik's performance in this film was praised by critics even though the film was not a big success. Hrithik's door was once again thronged with writers and directors. But now the actor has decided not to take on several jobs, but to carefully choose the roles that are offered to him.
Unprecedented success

In 2006, Hrithik starred in two blockbusters that will forever go down in history as one of the most successful films in Bollywood. One of them is Krrish (a continuation of the story started in the film Koi... Mil Gaya), again directed by Rakesh Roshan and composed by Rajesh Roshan. In this film, Hrithik appears as a superhero in the vein of Batman and Superman. His co-star in the film was Priyanka Chopra. Critics have called Hrithik one of the finest talents on the modern Indian screen.

Another successful film of 2006 was the blockbuster Dhoom 2: Back in Action, in which Hrithik played the role of the main villain. His co-stars were Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra. The film was also a runaway success both in India and abroad.

In February 2008, the premiere of the film Jodhaa Akbar took place, in which Hrithik appears before us in the role of an emperor. His co-star is Aishwarya Rai again. From the first days of film distribution, the film had big success from the audience.

Now Hrithik is preparing to shoot in a new project of his father Rakesh and director Anurag Basu. Filming on Kites is scheduled to begin in July 2008. Hrithik's partners will be Kangana Ranaut and Mexican TV series star Barbara Mori. Fans of Anurag's films know that his films are always distinguished by their frankness. So we are looking forward to the start of filming...

What is the secret of Ritka’s success? His exceptional and outstanding dancing style, fine acting talent as well as good physique were crucial for his success in Bollywood. Hrithik Roshan is very loved and appreciated by his colleagues and film producers. He is always very kind and ready to help. And the Indian actor’s Italian appearance makes him even more interesting.

Despite his physical handicap (Hrithik has 6 fingers) right hand - 2 thumbs), he is considered one of the most attractive Bollywood actors. Hrithik is not ashamed of his shortcomings and does not have a complex about it. He deals with this very openly and is proud of his small flaw, which, however, does not bring him any big problems.

Hrithik Roshan Personal life

In 2000, he married Suzanne Khan, the daughter of film director Sanjay Khan. In this marriage, two children were born - sons Rehan (2006) and Ridan (2008). Hrithik and Sussanne lived together for 13 years and divorced in 2013

Recently he was involved in news with Kangana Ranaut and accusations from the actress. Thanks to such news, rumors about Hrithik dating Kangana have subsided. But what about the other girls who were involved in the actor’s life, let’s try to figure it out.

:
It was love at first sight. They met in Mumbai and after a long relationship, they tied the knot in Bangalore in 2000. Only relatives and friends of Hrithik and Suzanne were present at the wedding. The first rumors about problems in the couple's family appeared in 2013, when Suzanne Khan did not appear at her father's birthday party. Their relationship fell apart in December 2013, a week before their 13th wedding anniversary. After the couple's official announcement of divorce, reports emerged that the reason for the breakup was Sussanne Khan and her affair with Indian actor Arjun Rampal. Four months after the point in the relationship, they filed for divorce by mutual consent in a Bandra court. In November 2014, their marriage was officially dissolved.

We first saw them together on screen in the film “Pleasant Memories” (2001). That same year, the media told us about their romance, which began on the set. While in a relationship with his ex-wife, Hrithik found himself in a rather unpleasant situation. Her family contributed to the “relationship” with Kareena, asking the actress to stay away from the actor so as not to discredit the noble Kapoor family tree. The on-screen couple and, decided to exclude collaboration and maintain their relationship with their family.

Hot Mexican actress Barbara Mori and , made a splash in the movie "Kites" (2010). Once again, Hrithik found himself at the epicenter of gossip; the couple was suspected of having a secret relationship during the filming of the film. After weighty statements, the actor’s relationship with Suzanne deteriorated and brought quite a few problems into his life. Suzanne left him with the children and moved to live in her parents' house. However, Suzanne denied all the rumors, saying that everything is fine in her relationship with her husband and no one can disrupt their strong relationship. The actor himself indicated to the press that Barbara Mori is his best friend.

Actress Kangana Ranaut and Hrithik met during the filming of the film Kites. But many noticed suspicions of a secret relationship with the release of the film “Krrish 3” (2013). At the time, the press claims remained unconfirmed. But Kangana opened a can of worms when she mentioned Hrithik as an ex: "Sometimes exes do stupid things to get your attention." Since then, Kangana has been referring to Hrithik as "stupid ex". However, it is not yet clear to us whose side is right!

December 2014

Two days after his official divorce Hrithik Roshan broke the silence and made confessions about broken heart and much more in conversation with Raedita Tandan.

"You have power over your own thoughts, but not over events happening outside." To find inner strength, you need to understand this, says the famous proverb. And who better than Hrithik Roshan can clearly demonstrate this aphorism. It's broken. At 35, doctors told him he would never walk. Science had no cure for his arthritic knee. He's beaten. Performing difficult stunts left him with an intracranial hematoma, which required him to undergo brain surgery last year. And to top it all off, he's bruised. The collapse of a 14-year marriage with Sussanne Khan left him emotionally vulnerable. The divorce has just been officially finalized. However, all this suffering did not make him lose heart. The actor quickly recovered from each of the blows. Perhaps becoming stronger and more seasoned. If there is one star in Bollywood whose life story could become a best-selling book, it is Hrithik Roshan. He was told he would never be able to walk, but he now has his own football team. His latest release Bang Bang! was declared one of the biggest hits of the year. The HRX brand continues to grow. He's the one who defied medicine, defied death, and... well, went through a divorce to come out victorious here too.

Dressed in a blue T-shirt and gray trousers, he is relaxing on the sofa, sipping water, when I enter the room. The handsome actor began to look even better with age. For that matter, at 40, he looked as amazing as ever. Bang Bang!. He is currently nursing a shoulder injury, but there is an aura of calm around him. And before I can ask him about it, he smiles and says, “It’s not the burden that breaks us, it’s how we carry it.”

We present to you a conversation with Hrithik Roshan - sincerely, from the heart...

How do you feel now after such success? Bang Bang!?
- (With a satisfied smile) This is great! It's been a long time since I received such an ovation for my film.

What do you mean, which ones exactly?
- The same positive reviews I received in last time behind Dhoom 2. I played such a character after a long break, and, to be honest, this is exactly what I wanted.

So the critics' reaction didn't hurt you too much?
- No. My goal has been achieved. So it doesn't matter that I couldn't please everyone. It's still impossible to please everyone. You can respect their opinion. But we must remember that an opinion is just an opinion. There is no need to present it as the ultimate truth. I have my own truth. So, I'm happy.

What about those who said they never expected a movie like Bang Bang! from Hrithik Roshan?
- Bang Bang! brought a lot of money. At different stages of life you want to do different things. It's important to have variety. If I start making only films like Guzaarish, which I'm very proud of, you'll probably start wondering why I don't do movies like this Bang Bang!. So, you need to keep that element of surprise.

And so something like Mohenjo Daro...
- Yes, this is the opposite extreme. It will be interesting - I like to do atypical things. When I signed up for Bang Bang!, this was not expected from me. I love surprising myself and my viewers. AND Mohenjo Daro Ashutosh Gowariker It will be an awesome surprise.

Starring in such an entertaining film as Bang Bang!, at the same time you were going through one of the most difficult periods of your life...
- I feel stronger. I feel more confident thanks to decisions taken in life. The easiest choice would have been to go underground for a couple of years, regain balance, get back on track, and then continue working. This is the advice I received from people with similar experiences. I was told that I would not be able to work due to my surgery and the emotional stress of the divorce (pauses). This fate is worse than death. This is even worse than the death of a loved one. Because with death the feeling of closeness does not disappear. You know that the person you loved who died also loved you when he died. But breaking up a relationship is a completely different pain...

These things are never easy...
- Whether it’s easy or not, it’s your choice, your decision. And it depends on your life goals.

What is your goal in life?
- My mission is to live this life as well as possible, no matter what happens. I try to get the best out of any given situation. I decided this for myself a long time ago. And no tragedy or suffering that I had to go through changed me. I looked at the situation with detachment, assessed it, learned from it and moved on with my life. The only way to change the situation is to act.

But breaking up after so many years of close relationships - doesn’t it make you disillusioned with life?
- But only after passing through this disappointment and darkness, you achieve enlightenment. If you sit and wallow in self-pity, asking pointless questions, you can turn into a victim and remain so for the rest of your life. You can isolate yourself from the whole world and blame everyone around you for your suffering - people, God, the one who caused you pain... But this is a dangerous state, because in it you do not bring any good to the world. You just have to think that you deserve better. Or that it shouldn't have happened to you. But bad things happen to everyone. There are no exceptions.

They say suffering changes your whole being. Has it changed you as a person?
- Oddly enough, no. I did what anyone would have to do in a similar situation. I believe that suffering is a gym for the soul. So, when you go through mental torments, you need to tell yourself that this is training for your mental muscles. How to strengthen them? How to change your environment? Where can I find strength? What can you use right now to fill yourself from the inside and become independently happy, rather than tying your sense of happiness to another person? By asking yourself such questions, you get the answers you need, write them down in your mind and begin to cultivate these seeds within yourself. It will take time, you need to be patient. But soon the seeds will sprout, and you will find yourself in a wonderful garden with fragrant flowers around.

And how did you do it? I threw myself into work, began to spend more time with the children...
- I didn’t rush anywhere. I just made a conscious decision not to waste time. Time is what life is made of. And I wasn't going to waste a year or two wallowing in self-pity. I'm against it. I'm against listening to sad songs and going over my story in my mind over and over again.

But isn't all this, for example, the same sad songs and the like, part of the natural process of experiencing grief?
- When I hear a sad song, I immediately think about who wrote or sang it, and I feel good. It's good that he or she channeled that sad energy into making a great song. Their pain became the impetus for a beautiful creation that made the world a better place. It's inspiring. Taking your sadness and turning it into something positive is admirable. Imagination is the way out of everything.

What to do with the pain you feel?
- You need to be able to manage your energy and your pain. There is no need to point fingers at someone and blame them. You need to tell yourself that only you are 100% responsible for your environment at any stage of your life. When you blame another person, you give him your energy and strength. And the situation will only change if that person does something. However, if you tell yourself “it’s my fault,” then you yourself will be able to change the situation, whatever it may be. You yourself must stand at the helm and not let go. The moment you start blaming God or society or people or circumstances, you give power over the situation to someone else.

How have the past two years changed you as a father?
- As a father, I haven’t changed at all. Circumstances have just changed, I now see my children (Rehan and Ridan) less often... But... (pauses) I know that I am the most best father. I know my sons will be proud of me when they grow up.

And that's the main thing, right?
- The most important thing is that they take my life as an example. So that they know: no matter what happens, there is always a way out. Their dad's story will be an inspiration to them.

What is your relationship with your children? Are you their friend or father?
- Perhaps I am a mentor for them. I am both a friend and a father. It’s different at different moments in life.

Who has been your biggest support during this difficult time?
- My ability to take things apart, get to the core of a problem, see the bright side, find solutions and move towards them. My way of thinking was my best support.

You also have a lifestyle coach, Arfeen Khan. What exactly does he do?
- First of all, he is not an instructor for me, because we are friends. He doesn't teach his friends about life. Believe it or not, my communication with Arfin began with a funny situation. We already knew each other and met constantly at various events. Every time we met, he would tell me something about what he was doing, and I was intrigued because it was a contribution to society. One day he suddenly came to me for a diet and workout plan. I had a 12 week program for a complete body transformation, which I myself completed in 10 weeks. So I gave him this program because I was spreading it around to all my friends. I didn't notice any changes in any of my friends, and I didn't know if the program worked on anyone other than me. But when I met Arfin 8 weeks later, he was unrecognizable. At the same time, he had never trained before in his life, and my reaction was “Wow!” At first I even thought that he had liposuction or something like that. However, he only said that he completed the program early with his own funds.

What means?
- That's exactly what I asked. I made him tell me about these remedies. We spent three hours talking. I realized that everything I just talk about, this guy knows how to put into practice in life. And he does it as easily as possible. It was as if I had suddenly found a kindred spirit, someone who was able to take my thoughts and direct them towards something specific. So, every time I talk to him, he gives me different cognitive tasks. He doesn't teach you how to live life. He only gives rules on how to achieve what you want. For example, if you want to train your body, you need discipline, perseverance and diet. And he will give you the rules to achieve this goal.

How much did this help you personally?
- To be honest, no one has helped me in life as much as Arfin. He gives parting words. But it doesn't help. You have to help yourself. We had a great exchange: I gave him instructions on how to make a body for myself, and he gave me instructions on how to control my mind.

So, his contribution to your life was the most significant in all 40 years?
Yes, I have never met a man like him in my life. He is something incredible. Believe me, this guy is able to change the world! Change the way we think. He amazing person and friend. In general, I would cancel this term "lifestyle coach" and call it the one who invented new science based on real experience of helping millions of people. People like him, those who are well versed in this science, can change the world! I believe he will achieve this one day. I will make sure everything works out for him. He is currently working with me on my brand (HRX) and we will be doing something very big soon.

Since you became free again, you have been linked to some actresses. Including new ones...
- (Interrupts) Yes, I am aware. I also read these entertaining gossips. But, apparently, everyone has their own method of promotion. If someone gets a little glory from using my name, I don't care. It does not penetrate or affect my surroundings in any way. You can write whatever you want - I don’t care, because I know the truth.

What's the most important lesson you've learned about love?
- (Thinks) That love should have rules.

At this stage of your life, are you ready for a new relationship?
- I'm ready for life. Whatever she has in store for me.

Are you happy?
- Yes, I am developing this feeling in myself. And soon I will be very happy. It takes time. I'm still coming to my senses - physically and mentally.

Returning to the topic of work... why don't you act in more movies? In 14 years you have so few of them...
- But I'm still sitting here, right?

Yes, and you're one of the biggest stars in the country...
- (Laughs) Well, if you want, you can finish the sentence like that. But seriously, I want to do more movies. And let them hear me. I want to make films of any genre. Films with two main characters. Films with a multi-star cast. Fast films. Big budget people. On this moment I read scripts and negotiate.

Again and again there are reports that you are receiving offers from Hollywood. And you also met Hollywood directors for dinner...
- I read a lot of scripts. I have intentions, but I'm waiting for a worthwhile project to come along. So far I haven't come across anything particularly interesting.

Does Hrithik Roshan have official Social Media profiles?

Indian film actor Hrithik Roshan Today it is very popular both in its homeland and abroad. Currently, Hrithik is one of the most sought-after actors in Bollywood. On account young artist more than 20 films.

Hrithik was born into a family whose fate was already closely connected with the world of cinema: his father, Rakesh Roshan, is known as an actor and director of many films. To be a son famous parent it's not always easy, and that's why Hrithik Roshan for a long time remained in his father's shadow. The modest and quiet young man could hardly truly dream of a career as a film artist, because the standard in this work was the uninhibited handsome men, and Hrithik himself early youth I was embarrassed to even look in the direction of the cameras... and at the same time passionately dreamed of the spotlight. At a time when his parents predicted a prestigious education in Europe for him, Hrithik secretly enrolled in courses acting. It cannot be said that the parents were delighted with this turn of events - they wanted Hrithik to first receive an education in the field of film production and only then try his hand at professions related to the world of cinema.

But the decision was made. Rakesh Roshan took his son into his film crew and appointed him third assistant. So it began for the young man new life, full of difficulties and trials. His father did not make any concessions to him, and Hrithik worked extremely hard, often without sleep, spending the night in cheap hotel rooms. But he did not complain, realizing that it was precisely this way of life that could strengthen him and make a real man out of a boy. So Hrithik learned all the basics of filmmaking not from textbooks, but “in battle.”

First Hrithik Roshan got on film set at the age of 6 - his father took him to episodic role in his film " Aap Ke Deewane", where Hrithik played a dancing boy. After this, he appeared on screen again at the age of 12 in the film " Divine dad", the role was also episodic.

Film career of Hrithik Roshan / Ritik Roshan

When Hrithik turned 26, fate finally gave him a gift - by coincidence Rakesh Roshan decided to give it to my son main role in his next film. The reason for this was the refusal of another famous actor participate in the project and the understanding of the director himself that this role We need a new hero for cinema.

Thus, the door opened for Hrithik to a world that he had only dreamed of until now. Over the past years, the young man had matured and was already well suited to the canons of an Indian film hero. And additional classes with a bodybuilding trainer and strict sports diet helped Hrithik achieve the desired shape. When the film " Say that you Love!"India literally exploded with rave reviews. An unknown debutant, Hrithik suddenly became a real star. The entire female part of India seemed to have gone crazy - they liked the young man so much handsome actor with sad green eyes.

Hrithik has six fingers (two thumbs) on his right hand, but this did not become an obstacle for him to climb the ladder of success.

Riding the wave of success Hrithik Roshan signed several contracts for filming in the next two years - among film producers, the son of Rakesh Roshan became the reason for a desperate struggle for the opportunity to get a new hero.

But, alas, as often happens, the new films did not bring Hrithik the same success as his father’s project. Of the four films, only one did well at the box office, while the rest missed the mark at the box office. There has been some nasty talk among critics that Hrithik can only work with his father.

Well... If this is so, I thought Rakesh Roshan, which means that no one except him knows how to truly “reveal” Hrithik’s talent. For the eminent director, this was more a confirmation of his own skills than a reason for reproaches to his son. And soon Rakesh made several more films with Hrithik. Science fiction picture " You are not alone"(2003), followed by the heroic blockbuster " krrish"(2006) ascended Hrithika Roshan to such heights of popularity from which he is unlikely to descend again.

The actor was once again flooded with lucrative offers, but this time Hrithik took a more serious approach to choosing projects. This resulted in equally successful roles in films. “Purpose of Life”, “Bikers 2: True Feelings” And "Jotha and Akbar".

Hrithik Roshan: “Dad always treats me like an actor, not a star. When I work on the side, as a matter of course, everyone thinks that this is Hrithik, he can do everything. I'm treated like a star. Sometimes I feel just invincible when I work with someone from the outside, because that's how they want me to be. And although, of course, this is not true, sometimes I think: wow, is this all me? Working with my dad makes me feel like I'm just working. No star tags. Sometimes I just forget that I am main character movie."

For now Hrithik Roshan starring in the film " Krrish 2", also in 2012 a film with his participation was released " Agneepath».
