I remember with delight how I watched the wonderful cartoon “Transformers” as a child, and when in 2007 I found out that a film of the same name was being released, my happiness knew no bounds. And I’m sure I’m not the only one. Beautiful cars that turn into robots What could be more interesting for the inner 8-year-old boy inside every man? Top this thing with a sauce of shootouts and explosions, add Megan Fox and a plot about saving the world - that’s it, success is guaranteed! And if everything is clear with the actors, then about the cars, which are far from Russian market, you can tell.

"Transformers"

The film premiered on June 12, 2007. The film itself, like the animated series, owes its origins to a series of toys from Microman and Diaclone, which produced miniature robots that could be assembled into audio cassettes, weapons or cars. In 1980, these toys were seen by the head of Hasbro, who picked up the idea of creating such dolls, and 4 years later, together with Marvel Comics, a comic book and cartoon were created.

Let's move on to cars. I think everyone knows very well that the public's favorite Bumble Bee is the Chevrolet Camaro, which at the beginning of the film appears in the back of the 1977 model, and then transforms into the prototype Chevrolet Camaro Mk5, which was supposed to appear only in 2009. So the film was, one might say, a pre-premiere showing of the new model.

Pictured: Chevrolet Camaro Mk5 and Chevrolet Camaro 1977

By the way, according to the animated series, the “hornet” (as BumbleBee is translated) was supposed to turn yellow, but at the request of Michael Bay, the car was changed. The fact is that the director did not want one of the main characters to be compared with another famous movie character - Herbie. But the director still made a reference to this car: when Shia LaBeouf’s character chooses his first car at a used car lot, it is the Beetle that gets into the frame first.

As for the leader of the Autobot gang, Optimus Prime, in the first film, a Peterbilt 379, which began production back in 1987, was chosen as the tractor. This car was chosen for a reason. Steven Spielberg, who acted as a producer, was extremely fond of this truck after working on the 1971 horror film, where the main character was played by a Peterbilt 281 tractor. And the voice of Optimus, which viewers of the film heard in the original language, belongs to Peter Carllen, who voiced Prime back at the time of release first cartoons.

As for the rest of the Autobots, here we see exclusively the American auto industry. Gunsmith Ironhide turns into a GMC Topkick pickup, scout Jazz turns into a Pontiac Solistice, and it was he who became the only victim among the Autobots in the first part of the film. Medic Ratchet turned into a rescue vehicle based on the Hummer H2.

The roles of the Decepticons went to even more brutal technology. The 2005 Ford Mustang Saleen S281 Extreme police car is Barricade. By the way, on the wing of this Mustang, instead of the standard “To protect and serve” inscription for American police cars, it says “To punish and enslave”. Decepticon Blackout turns into an MH-53 helicopter, Starscream turns into an F-22 Raptor fighter, Bonecrusher turns into an armored personnel carrier with a Buffalo H manipulator, and Brawl turns into a modified M1 Abrams tank. And only little Frenzy turns into a radio-controlled model of something difficult to identify.

"Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen"

At the end of the first film, Optimus Prime sends a message into space, calling on all surviving Autobots to fly to Earth. And they arrived. Filming began the day after the first part received an MTV award in the " best movie" This time European cars also took part in the film. So, in the first scene, the Decepticon Sideways was destroyed, who appeared before the viewer in the form of an Audi R8, but we’ll get to the Decepticons a little later.

The ranks of the Autobots have been replenished with several new robots. For example, Sideswipe appeared, which, in fact, cut Sidewise in half. A silver Chevrolet Corvette Stingray was chosen to play the role of an alternative appearance for this transformer. At the request of Optimus Prime, this Autobot took two twins, Skids and Mudflap, under his control. These tomboys, who made viewers laugh at the screens with almost any line or action, could turn into concepts created by Chevrolet when developing the design of the new generation Spark. Skids got the green Beat (which eventually became the new Spark), and Mudflap turned into the Trax concept car (remained out of business).

Also, in response to the leader’s call, robot girls who turned into motorcycles reached the Earth. Arcee is a Ducati 848, Chromia is a Suzuki B-King, and Elite-1 is an MV Agusta F4 R 312. Together with them, Optimus was helped by the robot Jolt, an alternative form of which was the prototype of the Chevrolet Volt electric car, which was released for sale only in 2011.

The film also featured the Autobot Hound, who transformed into a military modification of the Jeep Wrangler. This was an unplanned episode due to the fact that Michael Bay was approached by the US Department of Defense. They noted that in the first film, only Decepticons were transformed into military equipment, and this could negatively affect the image of the American armed forces. This is how a representative of the rival Chrysler clan entered the “kingdom of General Motors”...

There was also a replenishment on the evil side. Soundwave, who could turn into a satellite, reached the earth. In general, the appearance of the Decepticons did not change much, and they were mainly turned into construction or military equipment. So, for example, Demolisher, one of the largest robots who stood on the side of evil, turned into a white Terex RH400 excavator, Grindor - into a CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter.

The composite Devastator was assembled from a Mixmaster - a Mack Granite concrete mixer; Rampage – Caterpillar D9L bulldozer; Long Hole – Caterpillar 773B dump truck; Scraper – Caterpillar 992G loader; Scevenger - Terex RH400 excavator, the same as Demolisher, but red; Overload – Komatsu HD465-7 dump truck. This is, if you please, a construction team.

Also in the film, the little Decepticon Wily appears, who went over to the side of the Autobots, and he turns into a radio-controlled car. And besides him, Jetfire, a strategic supersonic reconnaissance aircraft of the US Air Force Lockheed SR-71 Black Bird, also moved from the ranks of villains to the side of good. The US Department of Defense was definitely pleased.

"Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon"

The appearance of the next sequel was not long in coming: it was released in 2011. Probably the biggest shock was the absence of Megan Fox in the film. The fact is that she had a falling out with Michael Bay and the charming blonde Rosie Huntington-Whiteley starred in the franchise. But we seem to have gotten distracted from the cars...

As for automotive metamorphoses, it can be noted that Sideswipe has changed a little, because during filming the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Concept was released, and the American manufacturer asked the filmmakers to use this particular prototype. One Decepticon has also changed: Soundwave, who appeared as a companion in the second film, has now turned into a magnificent German sports car Mercedes SLS AMG.

The ranks of the Autobots have swelled again. Under the leadership of the Peterbilt tractor there are now three Chevrolet Impala SS, prepared for NASCAR racing. Three brothers turned into these cars: Roadbuster, Topsin and Leadfoot. Also, for the first time, European cars were included in the “army of good”: the Mercedes-Benz E350 played the role of the scientist robot Q, and the Mirage scout was transformed into the red Italian horse Ferrari 458 Italia. Also in the film another Prime appeared, who chose his image fire truck Rosenbauer.

The Decepticon squad also changed a little: the dead were replaced by Lazerik, who turned into various equipment, such as a printer or TV, the police officer Mustang Saleen S281 Extreme Barricade, who was absent from the second film, returned. A new robot, Crankcase, has appeared, transformed into a black Chevrolet Suburban. In addition, the saboteurs Hatchet and Crowbar fell into the ranks of the “villains”; they turned, again, into Suburbans, but underwent severe tuning.

Another funny car starred in the film - this is the Datsun 510. A yellow car with black stripes, stylized as Bumblebee, which the main character drove while his friend and part-time Chevrolet Camaro stood at a combat post, protecting the Earth from the Decepticon invasion .

In general, it is worth admitting that few new machine characters appeared in the film, and not all of the old ones remained. The episode clearly moved away from the theme of cars, increasingly focusing on computerized battle scenes between giant robots.

"Transformers 4: Age of Extinction"

The last film in the franchise was released on June 19, 2014. Following Megan Fox, Shia LaBeouf also disappeared. Steven Spielberg stepped down as producer, and Peterbilt disappeared with him. Another truck was taken for the role of Optimus Prime - Western Star 4900X, and before that the Autobot leader appears in the form of an old rusty Marmon Cadover 97, which is likely a reference to the animated series. The crowd-favorite BumbleBee has also changed, remaining true to the make and model, but now in the form of a black and yellow 1967 Camaro SS, and then he changed his appearance to a concept.

The changes affected everyone. Poor Ratchet, the Autobot military medic, was brutally destroyed at the very beginning of the film - apparently, this is the filmmakers' way of hinting that there is no longer room for the Hummer in the film. New Autobots appear, and sometimes it is simply impossible to follow the logic in the selection of cars.

For example, a robot samurai with speaking name Drift, for some reason, turns not into a Nissan Silvia S15, as in the series, but into a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse (obviously not

Others

  • Megan Fox - Michaela Banes: Sam's classmate who he has a secret crush on. Well versed in cars; precisely after her ironic remark regarding appearance Bumblebee turns from an unprepossessing “car” into an elegant new generation Chevrolet Camaro model. In the second film, I thought about leaving the main character, finding him too “boring,” but decided to prolong the relationship a little. In the third film, she finally breaks off relations with him. One of the robots, commenting on the former relationship between Sam and Michaela, noted: “that was FIFA.”
  • Josh Duhamel - captain William Lennox: commander of a special forces detachment in Qatar; one of the few who were able to avoid death during the Decepticon Blackout's attack on a military base. Has a wife and newborn daughter in America.
  • Tyrese Gibson - Sergeant Epps: An Air Force sergeant who, along with Lennox, survived the Decepticon attack.
  • Glenn Morshower - Colonel Sharp, commander of the US military base in Qatar.
  • John Turturro - agent Seymour Simmons: Head of Sector 7, a secret government structure that houses and researches the Allspark and Megatron.
  • Jon Voight ( in Russian dubbing- Andrey Yaroslavtsev) - John Keller: US Secretary of Defense.
  • Rachel Taylor ( in Russian dubbing- Larisa Nekipelova) - Maggie Madsen: despite his youth, he is an expert in the field of signal recognition and decoding; is part of a group of specialists invited by the US Department of Defense to decipher the signals with the help of which the secret access code to the Pentagon database was hacked. She is the first to realize that these signals are of extraterrestrial origin.
  • Anthony Anderson ( in Russian dubbing- Dmitry Filimonov) - Glen Whitmann: Hacker, Maggie's friend, who helps decode the Cybertronian language.
  • Michael O'Neill - Tom Banacek: Presidential Representative to Sector 7.
  • Bernie Mac - Bobby Bolivia: The used car salesman who inadvertently sold Sam Bumblebee.
  • Peter Jacobson - Mister Hosny: Teacher at Sam and Michaela's school.

Autobots

  • Bonecrusher (voice- Jimmy Wood)

Attacks Optimus Prime on the way to Mission City and is killed by his sword. Transforms into the Buffalo H armored personnel carrier. Armed with claws, two machine guns on his arms and two rocket launchers on his back.

  • Brawl

He is part of a group of Decepticons who arrived on Earth after receiving a message that Megatron had been found; fights with the Autobots in Mission City, where during the battle with Jazz he loses his left arm. The Special Forces and Autobots only barely managed to damage him using HEAT projectiles, but even then he continued to take part in the battle until Bumblebee finished him off.
Transforms into a modified M1 Abrams tank. In robot mode, Brawl's weapons are two shoulder-mounted missile launchers; in addition, he is also armed with a rapid-fire laser cannon, which is mounted on his right arm. On his left hand he has two blades and a machine gun.

  • Scorponok

Mechanical Scorpion; on Blackout's orders, he pursues the special forces who survived his attack on the base in Qatar. Scorponok (unlike the “cartoon” character of the same name) is not a full-fledged transformer, but just a fighting machine, however, he is very dangerous, as he has a movable tail that can be divided into several very sharp blades, and is also armed with plasma cannons and machine guns built-in in his claws; in addition, he can easily move underground to any distance. When the aircraft called by Lennox drops bombs on Scorponok, he loses part of his tail. However, he manages to escape.

  • Captain Lennox first appeared in the comic book G.I Joe vs. Transformers".
  • The performers of the main “human” roles - Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson and Anthony Anderson - admitted in their interviews that they were big fans of Transformers and immediately agreed to their roles. Director Michael Bay cast LaBeouf as Sam because he considered him an up-and-coming actor who could improvise quickly and had a charisma that reminded Bay of a young Tom Hanks. LaBeouf physically trained five days a week for three months to gain the 11 kilograms required for his role, but during filming he realized that the role required more reflexes and speed than physical strength. Duhamel and Gibson spent three days at recruit boot camp to learn more about military life and make their characters more realistic.
  • After discussions with fans on his website, producer Don Murphy decided that he wanted the Transformers to be voiced by actors who did the voice work in the 1980 animated series of the same name, but Michael Bay decided to audition them first because he was afraid that the actors' aged voices would be too noticeable. In July 2006, at the San Diego Comic-Con, it was officially announced that Peter Cullen, who was the voice of Optimus Prime in the animated series, would voice Optimus in the film. Cullen later described his return to a familiar role as "sleeping in really comfortable old boots that you haven't worn in a while" and was very grateful to fans for their desire to involve him in voice acting. His voice brought a dose of humor to the character of Optimus, while also reflecting his traditional heroism and pathos.
  • The film company Paramount Pictures held a competition for the best statement for Optimus, and the winner was the statement “Freedom is the right of all living beings,” although this phrase was present in the first version of the script.
  • Actor Mark Ryan, who voiced Bumblebee, also participated in the filming, impersonating the Transformers on set and speaking their lines to help the actors imagine the giant robots. He came up with many lines for the characters before being chosen to voice Bumblebee.
  • Hugo Weaving, whose voice was used to test facial animation, was eventually chosen to voice Megatron in March 2007. Actor Frank Welker, who voiced Megatron (as well as Frenzy) in the cartoon, was auditioned at the studio, but his candidacy was rejected because his voice seemed too weak to the creators for the cruel and rude Megatron. Welker did, however, voice Megatron in the video game based on the film. He was also announced to voice the Decepticon Soundwave in the sequel to the film.
  • Transformers' eye colors are divided into blue for Autobots and red for Decepticons, just like in the original Transformers animated series (1984).
  • Autobot Bumblebee's car mode is a Chevrolet Camaro, while his Decepticon opponent Barricade is a Ford Mustang. IN real life There has also been a “competition” between these two cars since their first generations. Actually, the Camaro was released as General Motors' answer to the Ford Mustang.
  • The Peterbilt 379 tractor into which Optimus Prime transforms is an exclusive model with an extended bow, made specifically for the filming of Transformers.
  • On the wing of Barricade in the guise of a police car it is written “Punish and conquer” (Literally: “To punish and enslave”)(eng. to punish and enslave) instead of the usual inscription on police cars “Protect and serve” (eng. to protect and to serve).
  • The image of Tom Banacek is used as a hologram projected in the cockpits of Blackout, Barricade and Starscream. The reason for this choice is unknown.

Not all fans of science fiction films are very familiar with all the characters in “Transformers.” We would like to consider the names of the central characters in the Autobot saga and their descriptions in our material.

Who are the Autobots?

Before looking at the names of Transformers, let's figure out what they are. The Autonomous Robots, or Autobots, are a peace-loving faction in opposition to the ruthless and envious Decepticons. These good-natured aliens from outer space value most of all the independence and right of every living creature to freedom. They do not consider the inhabitants of Cybertron to be the dominant galactic race. On the contrary, some Autobots are ready to provide assistance to representatives of other civilizations to the detriment of themselves. For this reason, it is easy to form alliances with them.

Autobots transform primarily into non-combat vehicles. Before coming to Earth, many of them were engineers, researchers, and doctors. They also use their old skills during the conflicts that unfold in a series of films.

Background

The plot of a series of films about the confrontation between transformers starts with their arrival on Earth. These intelligent, highly developed creatures are capable of transforming into cars, motorcycles, airplanes and helicopters, and other equipment. The Autobot faction has a good disposition and is peaceful towards earthlings. On the contrary, the Decepticons want to take possession mysterious artifact“Allspark” (“Great Spark”), which ends up on our planet. The Autobots decide to come to the defense of humanity and together defeat the cruel Decepticons, main goal which is the enslavement of other intelligent inhabitants of the galaxy.

Subsequently, the main character in the saga becomes an ordinary high school student named Sam Witwicky. It is to him, by chance, that the secret of finding the Allspark artifact is revealed.

Optimus Prime

So, let's start looking at the names of transforming robots. First of all, let's talk about central character saga of Optimus Prime. The latter is the main character not only in a series of films about a race of intelligent machines, but also in comics, cartoons and video games. The hero has the ability to transform into a six-wheeled Peterbilt tractor of a red and blue hue.

Optimus Prime commands the Autobots and is also in charge of public relations. In the beginning of the film series, the hero dies in a battle with Megatron, but returns to life with the help of the “Matrix of Leadership.”

Ironhide

Considering the main transformers, the names of the Autobots, it is worth mentioning Ironhide, whose specialization in the team is the protection of comrades and important objects. He is one of the oldest Autobots, an experienced and resilient robot. Ironhide has the reputation of being a real bully. Of the two obvious solutions, he always chooses the more radical one. However, behind the character’s external aggressiveness lies a good-natured essence, a desire to protect living beings.

Bumblebee

Talking about the names of transformers from the film, we should say a few words about faithful ally Optimus Prime - a silent Autobot named Bumblebee. The hero transforms into a yellow and black Chevrolet Camaro. After one of the battles, the character receives serious damage and loses the ability to speak. He expresses his thoughts and emotions through the use of phrases from radio stations and music tracks. Bumblebee is one of the most sentimental and charming characters in the film.

Ratchet

What other Transforming Autobot names appear in the film? To the main acting persons The film series also includes Ratchet, who plays the role of medic and researcher on the team. In the first part of the saga, he arrives on Earth with Optimus Prime to fight the Decepticons. He shows kindness towards people. The latter interests him from a scientific point of view. With access to the Internet, Ratchet immediately becomes an expert in biology and medicine.

Jazz

We continue to talk about the names of transformers. Next on our list is a robot named Jazz. He is one of the leaders of the Autobot team, responsible for organizing sabotage and combat special operations. Upon arrival on Earth, he shows interest in expensive sports cars. For this reason, it immediately transforms into a Pontiac Solstice roadster in silver.

Megatron

When considering the names of transformers, one cannot ignore the main antagonist of the Autobot team - the Decepticon Megatron. The latter is the eternal enemy and antipode of Optimus Prime. His main goal is to establish dominance in the galaxy, in particular, the enslavement of the human race.

According to the plot of the series of films about Transformers, at one time Megatron was the wise and fair ruler of Cybertron. However, having learned about the power of the Allspark artifact, he started a war not only on his home planet, but also set off to conquer the Earth, pursuing a team of Autobots.

Starscream

If we talk about the names of transformers, the Decepticon Starscream deserves attention. He acts as Megatron's main ally and accomplice in all atrocities. This robot secretly strives for sole control of the faction. He is the only villain who managed to return safely back to Cybertron after a lost battle with the Autobots.

Fallen

A representative of the ancient family of Primes. This treacherous robot betrayed the ideals of his own brothers for the sake of power over the Transformers of Cybertron. In the first parts of the film series, he acts as part of a Decepticon battle group. Fallen was killed in battle with Optimus Prime.

Transformers- a unique phenomenon. Introduced in 1984, the series of toys for young children has grown into something more over the course of a couple of decades. The saga of robots that can change their shape has matured and become incredibly popular around the world. The colorful universe of Transformers is, first of all, the story of an endless war between two factions of robots that flew to Earth from distant Cybertron.

The distant year 1984 became the starting point in the Transformers universe. It was then that the volcano awakened, and tremors launched the on-board computer on the alien ship from Cybertron. In the same year, the first toys, the first animated series and the first comics were released. But the story of Transformers began a year earlier.

In 1983, a famous American toy manufacturer Hasbro met at the annual exhibition in New York with colleagues from a Japanese company Takara . After weighing all the pros and cons, the companies decided to combine and refine the popular Takarov products “Diaclon” and “Micro Changes” in new series, intended for release on the US market. The series was simply called - transformers. For new toys it was developed story line and the characters of all the characters that were reflected in the animated series "Transformers" released in the same year and comics from Marvel .

Subsequently, the Transformers universe acquired many sequels - both new toys, comics, and TV series. Some were direct continuations of the original saga, others told about an alternative reality. In this article we will talk about the very first, original universe, which fans call G1, or First generation(Generation 1). Other “generations” are briefly described in the box of the same name.

From Cybertron to Earth

Transformers are intelligent robots with the ability to “transform,” that is, change their body from one mode to another. Most transformers in basic mode are similar to people - two arms, two legs, one head. But the alternative mode can be absolutely incredible - from banal cars and planes to exotic video cameras and animals.

An interesting question is about the origin of the “race” of transformers. There are two different versions about the origins of the Transformers and their home planet of Cybertron. The first, told in comics, says: at the dawn of time, a certain Single Entity created two robots capable of turning into entire planets - Unicron personified evil, Primus - good. A great battle took place between them, from which Primus emerged as the undisputed winner. After some thought, he decided to forever remain the planet now known as Cybertron. Subsequently, Primus created on his surface new uniform life - gave it a piece of himself and called it transformers.

Cybertron.

The second version is reflected in the animated series. 12 million years ago, Cybertron was a factory run by the Quintessons. The factory produced robots for industrial and military needs. After a million years, they evolved and rebelled against the Quintessons, driving them off the planet. Subsequently, this uprising was called the First Cybertronian War.

But peace did not come, because military robots decided to conquer the entire planet, and with it the peaceful robots. Military robots named themselves Decepticons, and peaceful ones - Autobots. Thanks to a new development that allowed robots to transform into other forms, the Autobots defeated the Decepticons in the Second Cybertronian War, and the Golden Age of Cybertron began.

Coats of arms of Autobots and Decepticons.

The Decepticons took into account their mistakes and secretly created a new unique transformer, their leader - Megatron. Megatron successfully completed the series offensive operations, destroyed the old Autobot leader and started the Third Cybertronian War. Optimus Prime became the new leader of the Autobots.

The civil war lasted millions of years. Energy reserves on Cybertron began to run out. To search for new resources, a huge Autobot research ship, the Ark, was created, which went into space with Optimus and a group of Autobots on board. The insidious Decepticons waited for the moment and boarded the Autobots from their Nemesis. The dilapidated “Ark” with Autobots and Decepticons on board crashed to Earth, into the mouth of a dormant volcano. The collision was so strong that everyone on the ship was completely deactivated.

In 1984, the volcano awoke and its vibrations triggered the Ark's on-board computer, which repaired the robots and adapted their alternate modes to Earth's conditions. The great civil war of transformers flared up with renewed vigor, now on Earth.

The unknown planet became the new home for many Autobots. They made friends with people and made reliable allies. The first acquaintances of the Autobots were the Witwicky family - young Spike and his father, nicknamed Sparkplug. Spike's son Daniel played an important role in the events of 2005. Then a major battle took place at the Autobot city, as a result of which Rodimus Prime became the new leader of the Autobots, Megatron turned into Galvatron, and the transformers came face to face with their old enemies - the terrible Unicron and the insidious Quintessons.

In addition to the classic, First Generation of Transformers, other interpretations of this universe were released. Second generation was a new toy line with redesigns of old characters. After the American “generations,” Japanese sequels appeared. Having thrown out the last, fourth season of the first generation, the Japanese continued the G1 series Headmasters followed by Masterforce And Victory.

After the Japanese, the baton was picked up by the Canadians, who released the first Transformers series with 3D graphics. Series Beast Wars told the story of the conflict between the Maximals and the Predacons, abandoned on prehistoric Earth. A continuation soon followed - Beast Machines and Japanese anime Beast Wars II.

After the story of the Maximals and Predacons, the Japanese tried to rethink the first generation from a new perspective. In the series Armada a third, neutral faction appeared - the Minicons, who could unite with the transformer and increase its strength. Latest series Cybertron, has not yet been shown in its entirety in the United States.

Autobots

In fact, the entire history of the Transformers universe is an eternal war between good Autobots and evil Decepticons. Any war always has its leaders, generals, heroes and true legends. Let's talk briefly about the most remarkable transformers. Let's start with the Autobots.

Optimus Prime

The most famous leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime, will forever remain the greatest hero of Transformers. He is a brilliant scientist, mechanic and, above all, a warrior and strategist. Optimus Prime has only one weakness - he cannot allow a living creature to die.

Alternative mode - trailer with trailer. In robot mode, Prime has two remote-controlled modules: the Roller (a trolley-like scout robot) and the Combat Platform, which is obtained from a trailer when transformed. In his chest, Optimus Prime keeps a unique Autobot artifact - the Matrix of Leadership.

Rodimus Prime

Rodimus Prime is a new, redesigned version of the Transformer Hot Rod. Hot Rod was a simple soldier under Optimus, an ardent young man who dreamed of exploits and great battles. And then the dream came true - in the battle with Unicron, he inherited the Matrix of Leadership, changed and became the new leader of the Autobots.

Hot Rod turned into a sports car with flames painted on the sides. Reborn as Rodimus Prime, he received a new alternate mode - an upgraded truck with the same "flame" paint job.

Optimus Prime

Wheeljack

A mad scientist and brilliant racer, Wheeljack was often involved in the development of Autobot weapons. According to one version, it was he who created a detachment of Dinobots, powerful Autobot warriors, and also participated in the development of aerial bots and protectobots. Alternate mode - Lancia Stratos racing car model 1975, white.

Bumblebee

Bumblebee is the younger brother of the Autobots. Small, nimble Bumblebee brilliantly copes with the role of a spy and intelligence officer. Although his size gives him certain advantages, Bumblebee constantly worries that the Autobots treat him as a younger brother, but not an equal. That is why he often takes unnecessary risks. Bumblebee is one of the best friends of Spike Witwicky and his family. Alternate mode - yellow Volkswagen Beetle.

Transformers(1984) - original film and TV series, 98 episodes

Headmasters(1987) - alternate Japanese sequel to G1, 35 episodes

Cybertron(2005) - loose alternative retelling of G1, 52 episodes

Decepticons

If the Autobots personify heroism and nobility, then the Decepticons - treachery and cruelty.

Megatron

The greatest, and most importantly, the permanent leader of the Decepticons. Megatron is a unique personality. This is a real evil genius, an excellent strategist who knows all the advantages and disadvantages of his subordinates and skillfully uses them. In 2005, Megatron was severely damaged in a fight with Optimus. His close ally Starscream betrayed him, threw him into space and doomed him to certain death. Unicron picked up a drifting Megatron and, after a brief conversation, transformed him into Galvatron.

Starscream

An "eternal traitor" and close ally of Megatron, perhaps second only to his leader in his lust for power. If Megatron is already the head of all Decepticons, then Starscream is just the commander of their air forces. He is passionate and ready to take any risk just to dislodge Megatron. Alas, Starscream is not very lucky - every attempt he makes ends in failure. Fortunately for him, his superiors appreciate his abilities and are not going to destroy the brilliant warrior ahead of time. Alternate mode - F-15 Eagle fighter jet in red and white.

Soundwave

One of Megatron's close associates. An excellent and loyal fighter, a specialist in communications and everything related to sound. In his chest, Soundwave carries robotic cassette players that transform into audio cassettes. These are excellent spies and saboteurs. The most famous among them are the bullies Rumble and Frenzy, the panther Ravage, the bat Ratbet and the birds Laserbeak and Buzzsaw. Soundwave's alternate mode is a cassette recorder.

Shockwave

A cold-blooded, decisive and absolutely soulless transformer. Shockwave thinks exclusively logically, approaching every problem from the point of view of the problem that needs to be solved. This Decepticon has excellent combat power and good leadership qualities, thanks to which Megatron left him as his deputy on Cybertron during the events on Earth.

Alternate mode - laser gun. Shockwave did not come to Earth along with other Decepticons from Megatron's team, so his size is not adapted to earthly conditions - the height of the gun is as much as 10 meters.

Most Transformers have one alternate mode, they are approximately the same size and perform different functions. But among the huge mass of Autobots and Decepticons, there are exceptions.

Gestalts

The term “gestalt” (from German “gestalt” - form, personality) is usually used to refer to an integral personality consisting of many other “subpersonalities”. Transformers have this name for the technology with the help of which combined robots are created, as well as these robots. Gestalt is a transformer composed of smaller, full-fledged transformers.

The most famous Gestalt is the brutal, but slightly clumsy Devastator, consisting of six Constructicons - robots, whose alternate mode is construction equipment from an excavator to a bulldozer. Devastator was the very first Gestalt to be successfully created, and it was he who allowed the Decepticons to achieve an advantage in power.

Autobot Defensor.

Soon this technology appeared among the Autobots. In the series, three gestalt teams of Autobots are known - aerialbots, protectobots and technobots. The aerial robots transform into airplanes to form the fearless Superion. Protectobots transform into emergency vehicles - from ambulances to fire engines - and unite into Defensor, a loyal defender of people. The Technobots' alternate forms vary widely, ranging from a drilling rig to a motorcycle, but together they nonetheless form Computerron.

The Gestalt Decepticons are Devastator, Menezor, Bruticus, Abominus and Predaking. Stunticons (cars) form Menezor, Combaticons (old military equipment) - Bruticus, Terrorcons (monsters) - Abominus, and Predacons (robotic animals), respectively, Predaking. Almost all Decepticon gestalts were able to perform only one task - mindlessly destroy.

Dinobots and Insecticons

Some transformers do not turn into planes and trains at all, but into the likeness of earthly life forms. Dinobots- a squad of Autobots of impressive size with decent firepower and strength. Each of the Dinobots - Slag, Sludge, Snarl, Swoop and their permanent leader Grimlock - is a remarkable personality who does not particularly shine with intelligence and communicates at the level of “mine will hit you.” Dinobots transform into dinosaurs - pterodactyl, triceratops, stegosaurus and other lizards.

Transforming cities

In the world of Transformers, size matters. Especially if you can turn into an entire city. There are only two such robots, and they are the worst enemies. Metroplex protects the interests of the Autobots, and Trypticon fights for the Decepticons.

Metroplex emerged from the ruins of the destroyed Autobot city in 2005. This transformer of amazing size carries out most time in city mode, but if necessary, it is capable of taking on two other forms - a mobile battle station and a colossal robot. The left tower of Metroplex transforms into a Slammer tank, the central tower and six guns transform into a small robot, Sixgun, and a sports car, Scamper, is hidden inside Metroplex.

Trypticon was created by the Constructicons from parts of an ordinary city. This is a merciless and terrible death machine, ready to destroy everything in its path. Immediately after his birth, Trypticon destroyed the Autobots' "Ark". Like Metroplex, Trypticon has three modes - a military base, a mobile station and a huge tyrannosaurus. Its activities are supported by two autonomous droids - Full-Tilt and Brunt.

Three-mode

A regular transformer has two modes - robot and one alternative. But there are exceptions here too. Transformers with two alternative modes are called three-mode.

Each side has three three-mode units. For the Decepticons, this is the warlike Blitzwing, capable of transforming into a tank and a MiG-25 fighter, and his comrade Astrotrain. The Astrotrain's main function is combat transport, and it successfully copes with it in train and space shuttle modes. After the Battle of Autobot City, they were joined by Octane, a fuel transport transformer with fuel tanker and tanker plane modes.

Autobot tri-modes appeared after 2005 - the brave Springer (helicopter and car), Sandstorm (helicopter and sand buggy) and Broadside (plane and aircraft carrier).

Russian adaptation

Transformers came to Russia in the early nineties, when Channel 6 of St. Petersburg began broadcasting Masterforce. The question immediately arose - how to adapt the names of the characters for the Russian viewer. The translators chose the following option: names “in a high dialect” like Optimus Prime and Megatron were left unchanged, and a Russian equivalent was invented for everyone else.

So, Starscream became Brawler, Shockwave - Exploded, Bumblebee - Hornet. There were also incidents - for example, Soundwave became Barkhan(apparently, the translators heard Sandwave here - “Sand Wave”), and the character Hotspot - in general Compote.

By the way, in Russia, in addition to G1, TV series were shown Masterforce, Headmasters, Victory, Beast Wars(partially), Robots in Disguise.

* * *

The development of the Transformers universe continues to this day. Japanese animators are making a strong contribution to the expansion of the saga, who last year completed a series called “Transformers: Galaxy Power” (in the USA - “Transformers: Cybertron”).

At the same time, Hasbro itself never ceases to stir up interest in the universe. It releases a new re-release of the classic G1 in a line of toys called Transformers Universe, excellent quality Transformers toys based on existing prototype machines in the Transformers Alternators series and, of course, toys based on the Cybertron series. But the main event in the Transformers universe awaits us in 2007, when producer Steven Spielberg and director Michael Bay release a full-length live-action film with a simple, but so close to the heart title, “Transformers.”

Transformers is a multifaceted universe with a huge number of characters and alternative stories. Each story is a full-fledged saga, each character is a full-fledged personality. A simple series of toys exceeded all expectations and resulted in a whole world that became close to millions around the world. After all, there is much more to Transformers than meets the eye.

Autobots.

  • Optimus Prime(English) Optimus Prime).

Weapon: two ion blasters, two energon combat blades, a heavy machine gun.
Special features: can activate Iacon's most powerful artifacts.
  • Starscream(English) Starscream).

Megatron's first assistant and eternal envier. In his absence, he commanded the Decepticons. He pretends to be glad that the ruler is returning, behaves very respectfully with him, and he himself is just waiting for the right moment to eliminate Megatron and seize power. After the destruction of the space bridge, he immediately notifies everyone that Megatron has died and appoints himself in his place. When it turned out that the lord of the Decepticons did not die, but only fell into a comatose state, Starscream tried to finish him off, for which he received a huge beating from Megatron when he woke up and regained his strength. Having barely recovered from the beating, Starscream again began to weave intrigues against his master; it ended with the angry Megatron condemning him to death, and only chance prevented him from carrying out the sentence. Angered by his constant failures (especially after the incident with Airachnid, who “surrendered” him to the Autobots), Starscream broke with the Decepticons and announced that he no longer wanted to serve anyone. Since then, Starscream has acted independently, at his own peril and risk, only occasionally concluding tactical alliances either with Autobots or with humans. However, at the end of the second season, tired of fighting for survival alone, he decides to make peace with Megatron. He manages to fulfill his intention, and even retake the post of first assistant, but not for long - in the third season he had to cede part of his powers to Shockwave (he became the head of the scientific department, while Starscream remained a military leader). From this moment on, Starscream begins to plot against Shockwave, trying to discredit him in the eyes of Megatron, but only incurs new troubles. After the Nemesis was captured by the Autobots, he escaped from the ship along with Shockwave.

  • Soundwave(English) Soundwave).
Alt form: dark blue MQ-9 drone.
    Weapon: tentacles
Special features: can open an “earth bridge” almost anywhere and at any time.
  • Breakdown(English) Breakdown).
    Alt form: blue armored van.
Weapon: in robot mode - huge sledgehammers, which replace his hands in battle; in vehicle mode - heat-seeking missiles.

Knockout's assistant and friend, arrived with him at Starscream's call. In this series, Breakdown is not a psychopath, as in ""; he thinks and behaves quite normally, but, nevertheless, he gets into trouble more often than others. One day, “MECHANICS” attacked him and tried to disassemble him in order to understand how transformers function; As a result, he lost his right eye, and could have lost his life if Bulkhead had not saved him. He hates Airachnida, and therefore willingly accepted Megatron’s order to eliminate her, but in a battle with the Spider he himself was killed. What was left of Breakdown was taken by members of the M.E.H. organization; they later made his body the seat of the mind and personality of their fallen commander, Silas. However, due to the failure of the operation proposed by Silas, Megatron gave him to Knockout to be used as a “guinea pig”. But during experiments with synthetic energon, due to an unforeseen accident, Breakdown turned into a vampire terrorcon with a constant thirst for energon and was again killed by Airachnida (whom he himself had freed before).

  • Makeshift(English) Makeshift).
    Alt form: unknown.
Weapon: the same as that of the transformer whose appearance he is currently copying.
  • Airachnid(English) Airachnid).
    Alt form: giant spider, helicopter.
    Weapon: cobweb, poison, energy rays.

Female Decepticon. Arcee's archenemy. Loves to hunt rare species of animals. She wandered around the Galaxy, from planet to planet, in search of new trophies for her collection, but on Earth, Jack and Arcee burned her ship, and the safari had to be interrupted indefinitely.
Megatron accepted Airachnida into his squad and, after Starscream's escape, made him his assistant, but, as it turned out, this was not the wisest decision. Cunning, selfish and cold-blooded Airachnida is a dangerous enemy and an unreliable partner. Anyone with whom she collaborates must be on alert, as any dirty trick can be expected from her. With her behavior, she quickly alienated the other Decepticons, and Megatron decided to get rid of the evil Spider once and for all. He entrusted this mission to the most powerful fighters - Dreadwing and Breakdown, but the operation failed: Airachnida defeated both of them, and even became the queen of the Insecticons. She was later, however, defeated by Arcee, who lured her into the Insecticon birth pod and locked her there. Once inside the capsule, Airachnis was plunged into stasis, and her former subjects came under Megatron's command.
In the third season, she was freed by the Terrorcon-Breakdown, killed him a second time (while becoming infected with the virus from him) and regained control over the Insecticons. Only the magnificent reaction of Soundwave, who opened a space bridge to one of Cybertron's satellites in time, prevented her from capturing the Decepticon ship. Her further fate unknown.

  • Dreadwing(English) Dreadwing).
Alt form: F-35 Lightning II bomber.
Weapon: plasma gun, sword; In addition, he has an impressive stock of explosive devices of varying power.

Skyquake's twin brother; very similar in appearance, but painted in Blue colour. He arrived on Earth in the hope of finding out something about the fate of his brother. Top class demolition specialist. A very dangerous opponent in battle. He fiercely hates Autobots, and especially Rackers. For all that, he has a rare set of skills for a Decepticon positive qualities- strong, decisive, intelligent, knows how to maintain a balance between obedience and initiative, straightforward, not devoid of nobility, works easily in a team. Having appreciated Dreadwing's merits, Megatron brought him closer to him, even appointing him as his lieutenant. But when Dreadwing learned the truth about the long line of intrigue and betrayal that had taken place aboard the Nemesis, his loyalty to the Decepticon ideals suffered a crushing blow; What angered him most was that Megatron did not punish the culprits. Fueled by a thirst for revenge, Dreadwing gave the Solus Prime Hammer to the Autobots and then attempted to kill Starscream, but was shot and killed by Megatron in the process.

  • Hardshell(English) Hardshell).
    Alt form: Hercules beetle.

The smartest of the insecticons (in any case, perhaps the only one of them who is able to speak freely). While searching for a valuable artifact on Megatron's orders, he entered into battle with Bulkhead, who was doing the same thing, and seriously wounded the Autobot. He was later challenged by Wheeljack to a duel and nearly defeated him, but Miko shot Hardshell with missiles from Wheeljack's ship.

  • Shockwave(English) Shockwave).
    Alt form: Cybertronian tank.
    Weapon: plasma gun.

Decepticon scientist. At first he appeared only in a flashback, in Arcee's memories. It was believed that he died during a skirmish with the Autobots, but rumors about his tragic death turned out to be false - Shockwave survived and even pushed Starscream out of his post as Megatron's deputy. By character - restrained and balanced, never loses control of himself; strictly logical in all his judgments and actions. Shockwave is one of Megatron's best warriors, and also a brilliant inventor. The range of his scientific research is very extensive and extends from improving weapons to designing new transformers; Thanks to Shockwave, the Decepticon army received a significant addition - the powerful and ferocious transforming dragon Predaking. After the final battle on the Nemesis and the death of Megatron, Shockwave and Starscream were evacuated in an escape pod, which landed somewhere on Cybertron.

  • Vehicons(English) Vehicons).
Alt form: sports sedan cars purple, small planes.
Weapon: Powerful laser pistols that can also be used in techno form.

Soldiers and "workforce" of the Decepticons. Tireless fighters, very strong, dexterous and tenacious: in battles with Autobots they die in dozens, but they never retreat without an order. Programmed to obey the commander; nevertheless, they are not without the ability to think, and some of them even dare to discuss the orders they have received.

  • Laserbeak(English) Laserbeak).
Alt form: an original aircraft that looks like both an insect and a bat.

A miniature drone, Soundwave's "pet" and assistant. Very fast and maneuverable, capable of moving equally easily both in the earth's atmosphere and in airless space. Due to its small size and weak weapons, it almost never takes part in combat operations and is used mainly for reconnaissance missions and sabotage (however, it was strong enough to damage Agent Fowler’s helicopter and catch him himself). When not in use, it is attached to Soundwave's chest.

  • Clones(English) Clones).

Created from protoforms found by Starscream aboard the abandoned Decepticon ship Herald. After he injected each of them with a dose of his own energon, they came to life and became exact copies its creator not only externally, but also internally, sharing his thoughts, feelings and ambitions. Starscream sent them to the Nemesis with the task of eliminating Megatron. During this sortie, one of the clones came across Bulkhead, who accidentally ended up on the Nemesis, and died in a fight with him, while four others reached the command post and attacked Megatron. In the ensuing shootout, three of them were killed; Megatron spared the fourth clone, and even promised to take him into his service if he brought him the head of the real Starscream.

Predacons

  • Predaking(English) Predaking).
    Alt form: the Dragon .
Weapon: discharge blaster, in beast form - a powerful plasma flamethrower and its own claws.

An example of a Predacon created by Shockwave. In the very first skirmish with the Autobots, he showed himself to be a serious opponent, and they barely managed to get rid of him. During the Autobot attack on Darkmount, Predaking pursued Ultra Magnus' ship until Ratchet used the Earth Bridge to send it to the North Pole. But he later returned, after which he became subordinate to Starscream (however, both were not happy about this). Starscream initially treated Predaking with disdain, considering him just a mechanical beast... until it turned out that he was also capable of transformation. In both of his forms, Predaking is incredibly strong: he effortlessly breaks Solus Prime's Hammer, almost kills Ultra Magnus and Wheeljack, and fights on equal terms with Optimus Prime and Megatron. Its durable body is almost invulnerable to blasters and beam throwers.
When the Decepticons realized what Predaking was capable of, it was decided to abandon the project of reviving the other Predacons (due to the risk of a rebellion that would be difficult to suppress), and all materials were destroyed. Thanks to the cunning invention of Starscream, Predaking was made to believe that the Autobots were to blame for the final destruction of his race, but Ratchet (who was captured by the Decepticons and was given to Predaking for execution) managed to convince Predaking to “analyze the situation”, and as a result he realized that he was cruel deceived. In a rage, he turned against the Decepticons, but Megatron and Starscream overpowered him and threw him out of the ship. However, Predaking survived and returned to Cybertron after the Decepticons were defeated.

  • ́ Darksteel (English) Darksteel).
Alt form: A dragon that looks like a mechanical griffin
Weapon: claws, in beast form - a flamethrower.

He is one of the new Predacons created by Shockwave. By character - cocky and reckless. He competed with Predaking, claiming leadership, but later, together with other Predacons, fought against Unicron's army of Terrorcons.

  • ́ Skylinks(English) Skylynx).
    Alt form: The Dragon
    Weapon: same as Darksteel

His character is very similar to Darksteel, but a little smarter than him. He constantly accompanies him, and also gets into trouble all the time.

Other.

  • Terrorcons(English) Terrorcons).
    Alt form: absent.

Dead Transformers resurrected by Dark Energon radiation. Devoid of soul and reason, extremely evil, obsessed with the desire to kill. They look like walking debris, but are almost indestructible: even separated parts of their bodies pose a danger, since they can quickly move and attack the enemy.

  • Scraplets(English) Scraplets).
  • Unicron(English) Unicron).
    Alt form: planet.
Weapon: lightning released from the fingers, a spiked mace in the right hand.
Special features: can create his own clones almost anywhere on Earth.

A super-giant transformer, next to which all other transformers seem insignificantly small. The embodiment of absolute Evil. He despises and hates all living things (except himself).
At first, it was only mentioned in a conversation between Megatron and Starscream about Dark Energon. According to Megatron, Dark Energon is Unicron's blood; he revives dead transformers, but they become aggressive and behave like zombies. At the end of the first season, Unicron himself appeared. It turns out that over millions of years of wandering in outer space, it became the core of the Earth. However, a parade of planets awakened him from his sleep, and now the Earth is facing an unprecedented catastrophe. The only thing that can stop Unicron is the Autobot Matrix of Leadership.
Megatron at one time hoped to attract the Planet Eater to his side, but, having received a refusal, decided to oppose Unicron in alliance with the Autobots. Through joint efforts, the transformers managed to “put Unicron to sleep” again (however, as it turned out later, this was only a temporary respite). (the core of Cybertron).

  • Nemesis Prime(English) Nemesis Prime).

A remote-controlled copy of Optimus Prime, constructed by the M.E.H. organization based on information they obtained about the internal structure of Transformers and the transformation mechanism. Nemesis Prime turned out to be so strong that it crushed all the Autobots who were approaching Silas' base. However, he could not cope with Optimus himself, because his controller, Silas, was distracted by the battle with Fowler, and Dark Prime remained motionless. After the massacre of Nemesis, his body was given to the military for safekeeping.

Only a few of them can speak (as far as is known, only two of them are Hardshell and Bombshock). At the same time, insecticons are susceptible to telepathy. Airachnis subjugated them to herself in order to use them to gain the upper hand over Megatron.

People

  • Jack Darby(English) Jack Darby). A sixteen year old teenager. He studies during the day and works part-time in the evenings at a diner in a parking lot. Accidentally got on a motorcycle, which turned out to be a transformer girl Arcee, who was running away from the Decepticons. She later returned to invite him to join the Autobots. At first, Jack did not show much enthusiasm, he was going to leave the team, and only his attachment to Arcee kept him from this step. By character, Jack is very calm and prudent, a slightly phlegmatic schoolgirl, originally from Tokyo; came to the USA on exchange. I accidentally witnessed Jack’s conversation with Arcee, after which the Autobots, willy-nilly, had to accept Miko into their squad. This fragile-looking girl is a real tomboy by nature: she is combative and energetic, she is not afraid of anything or anyone (except spiders), she knows how to insist on her own. Because of her passion for adventure, she often gets into trouble, and her friends have to help her out. She draws well, loves rock music, and plays the guitar herself. He turns his bodyguard Bulkhead around as he wants, drags him into all sorts of adventures, but at the same time loves him very much and is terribly worried when, due to a serious injury, the good-natured giant was on the verge of death.
  • Raf Esquivel(English) Raf Esquivel). A twelve-year-old child prodigy, a “walking encyclopedia.” A true computer genius. Helps Ratchet master earthly technology, for which the doctor is very grateful to him. However, Bumblebee becomes Raph's closest and most trusted friend. Raf is the only person who understands Bumblebee, although he himself cannot explain how this happens. The boy has a huge family, where everyone is full of their own worries, so sometimes he feels very lonely, and therefore reaches out to Bumblebee, who always listens to him attentively.
  • William Fowler(English) William Fowler). A special government agent who acts as a liaison between the Autobots and outside world. Constantly, and in a rather harsh form, reminds the Autobots of the need to maintain secrecy. He tries his best to prevent people from finding out about alien robots, and is angry when he discovers three children at the Autobot base. Qualified pilot, pilots airplanes and helicopters various types(however, by coincidence, each time his aircraft is copied by one of the Decepticons for his alt form). At first he gives the impression of a boring, grumpy and cowardly type, fixated on the rules, but later it turns out that this impression is false. So, Agent Fowler, being caught by the Decepticons and tortured, still does not give them the location of the Autobot base. Over time, he warms up to both the Autobots and the children, actively helps them in the search for Iacon artifacts, and after the destruction of the Omega-1 station, he finds a new refuge for the Autobots in one of the military warehouses. Seems to have a thing for June Darby.
  • Sierra). A girl that Jack really likes. Wanting to impress her, he accepts Vince’s challenge (however, to do this he first had to persuade Arcee for a long time, and then “borrow” Bumblebee from Raf for a while). Although the risk was great, Jack achieved what he wanted - Sierra began to show interest in him, and even became jealous of Arcee.
  • Vince(English) Vince). Jack's peer and rival in the struggle for popularity and pretty girls. He also likes Sierra, and in order to humiliate Jack in her eyes, he invites him to take part in underground car racing.
  • Silas(English) Silas), aka Leland Bishop- a sinister and mysterious personality. Former military. Seeks to establish a new world order (led, of course, by himself). Smart, cold-blooded, cynical, equally ruthless towards robots and people. The main thing that interests him is alien “know-how”; For the sake of access to them, he collaborates with the Decepticons, but on occasion he will not hesitate to disassemble his recent ally for spare parts. His goal is to put the power of “living machines” at the service of his ambitious plans. He died in a battle with the Autobots, but was soon revived in the body of the transformer Breakdown, after which he offered his services and assistance to Megatron. However, the operation he planned to capture the military satellite “Damocles” failed, and Megatron gave Silas himself to Knockout “for experiments” as punishment. Died after Airachnid destroyed the Terrorcon into which Breakdown was transformed.
  • FUR.(English) M.E.C.) is a paramilitary terrorist organization created by Silas. Well hidden: they are almost impossible to see without masks that completely hide their faces and protective overalls. Obsessed with the idea of getting it at any cost Newest technologies, because they are confident that the side armed with the latest technology always wins. In one episode, they hunt for a nuclear power generator being transported by Agent Fowler. The latter, deciding that he was attacked by Decepticons, calls the Autobots for help. When the misunderstanding is cleared up, Optimus Prime refers to M.E.H. as "Decepticons in human form." Of Silas he says: "Megatron behaved in a similar way before plunging our planet into war." To study the intricacies of Cybertronian physiology, they first kidnapped (and almost dismantled for parts) Breakdown, and then began to collaborate with Starscream (from whom the T-gear necessary for transformation was eventually removed). The result of M.E.H.’s actions is the controlled transformer Nemesis Prime, but the very first experience of using it led to a clash with the Autobots, as a result of which the “MECHANICS” lost both the robot and their leader. Later, the organization's scientists managed to bring Silas back to life, but he decided that he no longer needed his subordinates and destroyed them.
  • Security guard- detained Miko in the archaeological museum, from where she, along with Jack and Raph, tried, at the request of the Autobots, to steal one of the exhibits (which was actually a Cybertronian artifact - an “energon collector”). Only Agent Fowler arrived in time and managed to persuade the vigilant watchman to let the girl go.
