Birch tree drawing in pencil for children. Autumn birch in gouache step by step. Master class with photos. Draw the general contour of the birch crown

Thin, slender birch has always been a symbol of beauty and shyness. This beautiful and useful tree, which gives delicious sweet juice, is very graceful and it is a pleasure to draw it. Birch is especially magnificent in summer, when lush foliage and birch "earrings" appear. Be sure to take a few sketches in nature with a simple pencil, watercolor or watercolor pencils, crayons and watch how the wind sways its thin branches, how the shiny carved leaves shimmer in the sun, touch the warm trunk. And now let's try to draw a birch in watercolor.

How to draw a birch in stages?
  1. Take a thick sheet of A4 size watercolor paper. We draw on its rough side, not on the smooth side. You will also need a hard slate pencil, sharpened sharply. Just don’t try to make the lead as sharp as a needle, it will scratch the surface of the paper and watercolor paint, getting into these scratches, will eat away tightly and all of them will be very noticeable in the drawing. Doing easy pencil sketch of a future birch tree. Its features are a thin trunk and flexible branches that bend under the weight of foliage. The leaves are small, so we will depict them only as a hint, without drawing carefully.

  2. We outline with a pencil the area where the birch foliage will be. Since it is small, from a distance it will seem that it is a dense bulk mass. The areas are uneven, somewhere part of the branches goes down, somewhere it lies in an even layer, especially at the top. Birch foliage descends like a cascade or a large green waterfall.

  3. Now watercolor comes into play, and let's try to paint a birch with paints. With a transparent green-yellow paint, we paint over the surfaces where the foliage will be. We outline the sky with pale blue - the darkest paint will be on top, and light on the bottom. We make a smooth gradient transition by adding more water, it turns out tender summer sky. We denote the grass under the tree.

  4. We enhance the color of the sky, you can add either a warm violet or a cold blue, outline the shadows. Each branch is like a big bunch, it has volume. Because the sunlight falls at an angle from above, then the shadow will be below. We do not completely paint over the surface, but as if we are making such light strokes with a brush, indicating small clusters of birch leaves. In the lightest areas, the leaves can be drawn with small dashes or dots, just outline.

  5. In the shadows, add more dark to give volume to the foliage. Notice how the layers of paint overlap - with little indentation. First came the lightest watercolor layer, then a little darker and the last - the darkest. You can make another one darker than the previous one and also draw it with a little indentation. We draw the leaves with dots or small “droplets”. See how the birch leaves are arranged.

  6. We draw a trunk of a birch and its branches. On the trunk with a thin brush, draw small dark stripes. Please note that they are very different and uneven - some are small, there are more. It’s better to take not thick black watercolor, but blue and red to make it rich Brown color with a cold tint. Part of the birch branches hide the foliage, so do not draw solid lines, make them dashed. This is especially noticeable in the figure in the lower branch on the left. We draw hanging thin branches. Under the branches we make a shadow - brown paint + blue or blue. Near the trunk, the branches will be darker. We add blue to the sky, you can leave spots and stains, they look like clouds. At the bottom at the base of the tree, we will strengthen the shadow - green + blue.

  7. We complete the drawing. With a thin brush, we work out the details, enhance the shadows for contrast on the branches, tree trunk and on the ground. Pure black paint should not be used, it will look rather rough. It is better to take a combination of dark blue and red or dilute black with blue watercolor.

Now you can move away from the drawing and look at it from afar, check if you missed anything and what needs to be corrected. Following this not very complicated instruction for you, it will be quite easy to paint a birch tree with watercolors on your own.

This lesson fell into the easy category, which means that, in theory, it can be repeated by Small child. Naturally, parents can also help young children draw a birch. And if you consider yourself a more advanced artist, then I can recommend the “” lesson - it will require more perseverance from you, although it will be no less interesting.

What you need

In order to draw a birch we may need:

  • Paper. It's better to take medium grain special paper: It will be much more pleasant for novice artists to draw on this one.
  • Sharpened pencils. I advise you to take several degrees of hardness, each must be used for different purposes.
  • Eraser.
  • Stick for rubbing hatching. You can use plain paper rolled into a cone. She will rub the shading, turning it into a monotonous color.
  • A little patience.
  • Good mood.

Step by step lesson

True nature in all its beauty can only be revealed if you draw it from life. It will be much better to draw if you look directly at the birch tree. If this is not possible, then ordinary photographs, which are simply in abundance in search engines, can help out.

By the way, in addition to this lesson, I advise you to turn your attention to the lesson "". It will help improve your mastery or just give you a little pleasure.

Simple drawings are created using contours. It will be enough for you to repeat what, and only what is shown in the lesson, to get an acceptable result, but if you want to achieve something more, then try to present that. what do you draw in the form of simple geometric bodies. Try making a sketch not with outlines, but with rectangles, triangles and circles. After some time, with constant use of this technology, you will see that drawing becomes easier.

Tip: sketch with as light strokes as possible. The thicker the strokes of the sketch, the more difficult it will be to erase them later.

The first step, or rather zero, is always to mark a sheet of paper. This will give you an idea of where exactly the drawing will be. If you place the drawing on half of the sheet, you can use the other half for another drawing. Here is an example of a sheet layout in the center:

Drawing a birch tree is not difficult, since only a birch tree has a white trunk with black stripes. There is no need to observe any special “geometry” in the drawing of a birch; it is only important to draw the trunk and branches correctly so that they do not turn out to be the same thickness and taper towards the edge. And to make it easier for you to draw a birch, you can use this step by step lesson. Step by step, first draw the trunk and main branches, then determine the size of the birch tree crown and draw.

1. Draw the trunk and main branches of the birch

First draw this simple diagram for the trunk and main branches of the birch tree. Do not press too hard on the pencil as we will be erasing these lines in the next step.

2. General outline of a birch tree

Trace with a simple pencil general outline and remove the original markup. Make sure that the branches and trunk taper towards the edge, otherwise the birch pattern will be too implausible.

One part of the birch grows directly from the base, pay attention to this right away.

3. Draw birch branches without leaves

It is not necessary to observe the size and number of birch branches. You can draw a birch tree differently, but do not draw the branches too straight, otherwise it will look more like.

4. Draw the general contour of the birch crown.

If drawing branches and a trunk is not so difficult, then drawing numerous small birch leaves is quite boring and time-consuming. Let's just draw the general outline of the birch tree's crown, and then use shadows and color to create the effect of leaves.

5. How to draw a birch tree with a simple pencil

First of all, draw the characteristic birch bark - a white background with black stripes. Then, take a soft pencil and draw birch foliage with “ripples”. This effect will even slightly enliven your picture; the crown in the picture will seem to rustle from the wind.

6. Drawing of a birch tree on a graphics tablet

Of course, when you need to draw a winter birch tree, you don’t need to draw the leaves and paint the tree either. But winter birch, this is a pretty sad plot for children's drawing, so let's draw a birch tree with leaves.

And if you like to draw a birch tree, you can draw a few more birch trees nearby, surrounding the sky. Then your drawing of a birch tree will be very beautiful and in good mood.

Now you know how to draw a birch. If you put in the effort, I believe you will achieve everything you set your mind to. Now you can pay attention to the lesson “” - it is just as interesting and exciting. Share the lesson in social networks and show your results to your friends.

Step by step drawing: how to draw a birch?

How does birch differ from oak or pine, from maple or spruce? Of course, all these trees have a different trunk, the branches are located differently, completely different pattern leaves, but pine and spruce have no leaves, but only green needles. But the most convenient way to start drawing any tree is from the trunk. Explain to your child so that he does not suffer from trying to draw a completely straight line for the trunk, that he should not draw the line straight. A tree looks more naturalistic if it is drawn curved, since in nature there are practically no straight lines and straight tree trunks.

Do not forget to remind your child that a tree grows from the ground, therefore he must mark the place from which the tree grows and shade the horizontal line under the tree.

The trunk is the most important and thickest part of the tree. And the trunk of a birch tree is very easy to draw with a pencil. Because the birch trunk is flexible, uneven, and the bark is very interesting - black and white. Therefore, there is no need to shade the entire trunk, as in the previous figure. It's better to leave it white, like this:

Now the child must draw the branches of the birch tree and partially shade the tree bark:

If you explain to your child that birch trees are different, he can draw birch branches hanging down. Then it will be a weeping birch.

If a child draws birch branches stretching upward, then it will be a curly birch tree.

Then all that remains is to draw the foliage, and the birch tree is ready:

When drawing a tree, it is not necessary to draw each leaf separately. No artist does this, because the tree is at a distance, and the characteristic features of the leaves are hidden in the general mass of foliage.

In order to correctly and beautifully draw a birch, you need to know its features, what distinguishes it from other trees. Before proceeding, study the structure of this plant, the features of its leaves, inflorescences, shoots. Armed with this knowledge, you can easily display them in a complex in your drawing. It doesn't matter what colors you paint with. If you know what exactly you are drawing, you will certainly succeed!

Step by step drawing of a birch

  • It is necessary to start the drawing by drawing auxiliary lines, which should depict the future trunk and converge at the top of the tree. It must be taken into account that these trees are quite slender, so the base of the trunk should not be too thick, in addition, this tree, as a rule, does not have pronounced bends.
  • Then outline the largest branches. Usually they begin to protrude from the trunk quite high. Therefore, the segments that will be the prototype of the branches must be drawn higher.
  • Draw convex and concave parts along the trunk and branches of the future tree. Then pay attention to the state of the cortex. For example, old trees have a lot of bumps, various cracks, tubercles on it, which, of course, should not be ignored in the drawing.
  • Also noteworthy is the thin birch bark, which tends to peel off slightly from the trunk. Taking into account all these nuances in the figure will make it more realistic.

  • Now that the main "frame" is done, start drawing young, thin shoots, the very hanging branches that many people associate this tree with. These shoots are very long, thin and flexible, so they bend under the weight of leaves, buds and inflorescences.
  • If necessary, complement our birch with "earrings". In size, these decorations are approximately equal to the size of a large birch leaf. They always hang down. Usually, earrings are grouped in two or three pieces. These inflorescences form many scales. Earrings grow at the ends of long shoots.
  • Start painting the leaves. In shape, they resemble an egg or rhombuses, but pointed at the end. The edges of the leaf have many notches, and on the leaf itself the axis of the cutting and several lateral grooves extending from it are clearly visible.

  • When all the contours are ready, you need to move on to coloring. Remember that the bark does not have to be pure white. Its color depends mainly on lighting. For example, if you want to depict a birch tree at sunset, then the trunk will definitely have reddish and yellowish-orange hues. Spots, longitudinal stripes on the trunk should have a black-gray color. Birch leaves must be given a rich green color. Those of them that are younger have a shade close to the color of young grass, the older leaves are darker in color. The color of long shoots is fundamentally different from the color of the trunk and branches - it should be brown-black. The tone of the shoots will also change depending on the lighting.

How to draw a birch in oil or watercolor?

First, draw a birch trunk, without any irregularities and spots. In the example, the trees stand against the light, so the trunk is darker in the middle, it is “highlighted” along the edges. The barrel in the dark parts will have a bluish-gray tint. It is also necessary to darken the bottom of the trunk a little.

Then we start working with dark spots. They must be applied over the entire area of \u200b\u200bthe trunk. If you plan to portray a young birch, then the spots should be placed horizontally, if the tree is older, then vertical bark defects predominate on it. Closer to the ground there are more spots and cracks. At the very base of the trunk, their pattern is such that it gives the impression of a black coarse fabric thrown over the trunk. While it is not necessary to draw spots especially carefully. Just mark their location with light gray paint.

The outer side of the spot is slightly behind the wood, so the edges should be lighter. When lightening the edges, you need to pay attention to which side more light hits it, it is there that the spots need to be lightened. Vertical jagged lines inside the spot are needed to give naturalness. They must be painted with a tone or slightly lighter than the stain itself.

Inside the stain, from the side of the illuminated edge, it is necessary to add paint darker than the stain itself. In order for some drawing to disappear, you need to shade the paint with a dry brush. Apply horizontal soft lines along the entire trunk. For this, it is best to use a single brush, and black paint can be mixed with blue and white.

Target: teach children draw a birch

Tasks:

educational: learn to convey characteristic features in a drawing birches(white trunk with black spots, thin curved branches, light crown, autumn foliage color; consolidate skills drawing thin curved lines.

Developmental: Develop smooth lines, visual attention, visual memory.

nurturing: Cultivate accuracy, perseverance, leisureliness, cultivate love for native nature.

“Suddenly it became twice as bright,

The yard is like in the sun's rays.

This dress is golden

U birch trees on shoulders»

Autumn It is just coming into its own and the trees are now unusually beautiful. And right now you can make interesting observations of nature.

Before draw a birch, you should watch her on a walk. Or at least look at the photo. You can invite children to guess the riddle. Tell the children during your walk that you have very beautiful tree. But what kind of tree it is, they will find out by solving the riddle.

Example of riddles: “A Russian beauty is standing in a clearing, wearing a green blouse and a white sundress,” “Girlfriends scattered along the edge of the forest in white dresses”.

If you are looking at a picture or photograph, turn it face down and ask the children to guess what is there drawn. Then ask the children what is different birch from other trees (she has a white trunk). And all the trees have branches with leaves pointing up, and birches are falling down. These long branches with leaves hanging down look like girls' braids. That's why birch this is often called the girl in a white sundress.

Read a poem to the children about birch:

L. Kavaliaka

Outside the window birches

In a festive outfit,

The breeze is swaying

Solar strands.

Leaves will fall

Will lay down with a veil

And cover the earth

Light blanket.

And spring will come -

The earrings weigh again,

The branches decorate

Like brooches on a dress

We draw autumn birch:

For work we need: landscape sheet, simple pencil, eraser, gouache, thin squirrel brush, sippy cup with water.

We start drawing a birch tree from the trunk. First we make a pencil sketch.

After the barrel is ready, we proceed to drawing branches. Here we need to remember that birches Thick branches go up, and then thinner ones go down.

The pencil sketch is ready.

Let's get started drawing with paints. We take thin squirrel brush and black gouache. The children's task is to trace the pencil sketch with a brush with black paint. We remind you that a thin line can be draw only with the tip of the brush. You need to start from the trunk and then move to the upper branches.

Now the drawing needs to be allowed to dry. While the drawing is drying, you can do finger exercises with the children.

Finger gymnastics

One two three four five,

We will collect leaves.

Birch leaves,

rowan leaves,

poplar leaves,

Aspen leaves,

We will collect oak leaves,

Mom autumn bouquet we'll bring it.

When the drawing is dry you can draw leaves. Colors that children will be paint leaflets need to be discussed in advance. We will be leaves paint using a stiff adhesive flat brush.

Technique drawing: we put paint of the color we need on the glue brush, place the brush vertically in relation to the sheet and make a sharp application with the brush. The paint should be thick enough; do not pour too much water into the gouache. Do not wet the brush with water either. Let the design dry a little before using another color.

When the crown is completely ready, admire your creation. Be sure to praise the children for being so beautiful. drew your birch trees.

The paintings of my students turned out to be very colorful and bright. The children enjoyed showing their work to their parents. I hope you liked my master class. I wish you creative success!
