Aesthetic education is the development of the ability to perceive, feel, and understand beauty in life and art, fostering the desire to participate in the transformation of the surrounding world according to the laws of beauty, familiarization with artistic activity and the development of creative abilities.

Special role in aesthetic education is given to art. Exciting and delighting, it reveals social meaning to children life phenomena, makes them look more closely at the world around them, encourages empathy and condemnation of evil.

Aesthetic education through art is designated by the term "artistic education" . Conducted pedagogical and psychological research show that as a result of upbringing, preschool children can perceive and understand those available to them works of art, penetrate into their meaning and content.

Art education in kindergarten is carried out in 2 ways:

nurturing the ability to aesthetically perceive the phenomena of reality both directly in life itself and through works of art
activities related to art: singing, dancing, listening musical works, reading poems, telling fairy tales, dramatization games, drawing, modeling, applique.

Development of ability to creative activity is impossible without expanding the scope of children’s ideas, without enriching them with artistic impressions. Children's feelings gradually become diverse and more stable. Therefore, we can set the task of developing aesthetic feelings and the ability to perceive art in preschool children.

Aesthetic perception is formed:

in the process of observation in nature
in aesthetics surrounding reality, everyday life
in art (artistic word, music, visual arts).
